“This was my first Rover experience and Vanessa was amazing with my little guy. Her home is super dog friendly and I loved how she communicated often, sharing pictures and details of what he was doing so I knew he was having a good time. Made me feel less anxious about leaving him.”

“John did a great job caring for Teddy! He was incredibly accommodating for our last minute request and communication was excellent. It’s clear that he takes the responsibility of caring for your pet seriously. he was also very considerate of Teddy’s specific needs. He has toys and beds ready for your pet and his dog made a great playmate for my puppy. I’ve used multiple dog sitters in the past with my previous dog…John definitely stands out! Also- he has a spacious home with a big fenced in yard. Highly recommend!!!!”

“Tom's place is awesome!! I work at the nearby military instillation and I was using Tom's daycare services. He was open to a meet and greet the day before I was supposed to drop off my pet which was from 7am-5pm, and he met Ollie and then showed us around a bit which made me feel much better knowing my dog was going to be kept in such clean and organized conditions. You can clearly tell how well Tom takes care of his own dogs. Everyday I used his service I could tell my dog had a great time and got to experience what walking in a pack was like. He came home exhausted each day and Tom sent great pictures and videos which made me feel better. As Tom states in his bio, if your dog is crate trained, good with other dogs and has a daily routine this is the place for you! Your dogs will love their experience at Tom's Place!”

About: I have taken care of animals all my life. I grew up with small pocket pets (rabbits) and birds. As an adult I have dogs, cats, chickens, horses, and alpacas - all of which live with me on my small farm. I have experience with giant breed dogs and higher energy dogs. I also know how and am comfortable giving medications. I have worked in the animal industry for the last 10 years. Ranging from boarding facilities for dogs and cats to veterinary offices. I also am currently volunteering with my therapy dog and we visit hospitals and schools. I’m currently a stay-at-home mom so my pets are with me all day. I take the dogs out for daily walks as well as other activities. I also have a large fenced in backyard for them to play in. I have a 1-acre fenced in yard for my babies (and yours!) to play in. All of my dogs are friendly and love to play with new friends. I also have cats (strictly indoor), horses, alpacas, and chickens on the property. New friends must be good with all animals as well as children if they are staying in the house. Children and other pets will never be left unsupervised with your fur baby. If I come to your home for care for your fur baby they will be spoiled with lots of attention and love
About: I have extensive knowledge when it comes to caring for pets of all different types. From growing up with cats and dogs, to saving injured birds, I have seen a lot and done a lot for the betterment of all animals. I will treat every animal as if they were my own. I am currently a stay at home mom and have plenty of time to spend with any fur baby that comes my way. The fenced in yard will be an amazing place for any pups to run around in and I do enjoy walking so having a companion would always be welcomed. My yard is over 8,000 square feet, fenced in, and I have a little pup now that would enjoy extra company. I have plenty of space indoors in case of any crating needs. I have nursed sick and injured animals back to health as my love for animals runs deep.
“Stephanie was great! She was very warm and welcoming. She sent lots of pictures and updates to let me know how Ollie was doing! I would definitely reach out to her again!”

“We are beyond grateful to have found Kristen to care for our beagle, Annie! She had an incredible week filled with fun, and absolutely loved playing with Piper all week. We can’t recommend Kristen highly enough!”

“Wonderful family! Daisy enjoyed staying with them. I was in a crunch trying to find a sitter and Lauren and Derek were there for us. They did a great job making my dog feel comfortable when she was initially nervous. I highly recommend!”

“Amber did a fantastic job with our rambunctious 5 month old puppy, Oaklyn. She kept her overnight and all day. We received lots of pictures of our pup which really gave us a sense of comfort. We will definitely be using Amber again in the future if she’ll have us!”

“Brian was great! Super flexible with my odd work hours. Finn was very nervous as Brian was his first sitter, but he ended leaving with a wagging tail! Loved the photo updates as well!”

About: We own two large dogs- an Australian cattle dog/Anatolian shepherd/Hound mix, and a yellow Labrador retriever. They are very high energy and unique with lively personalities. We love to take them on bicycle rides/walks through the woods and neighborhood. We both have experience with dogs- John dog-sat as a child and has had family dogs as well, and I grew up on a farm with 10-15 inside/outside dogs all my life as well as many other animals. We have a big back yard that is fenced in, we also live next to a big state park that is loads of fun for any animal! Our entire family and our friends also have dogs, so when we all get together we usually have about 12-14 dogs all together at once running around playing and having fun! We would love to be able to help others who own dogs and have a busy schedule live life while knowing their beloved pet is well taken care of!

About: I have taken care of pets my whole life so I can take care of puppies to elderly dogs. Most dogs love me and want to come play and pet. I also have a 2.5yr old son who absolutely LOVES dogs. We are happy to take care of dogs with special needs or is on mediations. We had a cat that just recently passed away and she would have been 19yrs old this year. About: I love caring for dogs in our home and treating them like they are a part of our family! Your dog will get plenty of attention and snuggles. Your dog will rarely be left alone as I am home almost all the time and if I am not, my family (all adults) helps care for the pets too. I have experience with senior dogs and those with anxiety. We have a fenced in yard and I also love to take dogs for walks in our quiet neighborhood. Please note that we have one cat in the house and a puppy. The puppy is a Carolina dog- mixed breed. “Jennifer was great to leave our puppy with. We had to find someone to watch him the night before and she was available and was quick to respond! He came home with no issues and had a great time with her cat. She kept us up to date with pictures and videos of how he was doing. I would definitely recommend leaving your dog with Jennifer!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 2,282 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Southampton Township. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Southampton Township commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
