“Hatsuki is a wonderful mommy for my kitty, Vivi. She is genuinely compassionate and a caring person for the animals who cannot talk. She gave a very comfortable home for Vivi during her stay. Thank you, Hatsuki, for all you have done to me and my kitty. Vivi said she was happy to have met you, and looking forward to meeting with you again. Many thanks for your kindness. Makiko”

“Vanessa made my girls feel right at home. They loved playing with her dogs in her large backyard! She handled medicine, meal times, and introductions like a pro! I was very nervous leaving them with a new sitter but we will definitely be back!! She truly cares for them as if they were her own”

“Daisy is amazing. I appreciate the communication from beginning to end. I love the photos and videos that were sent every day ensuring me my lil phoenyx was enjoying himself while in her care. Daisy is very responsive and accommodating. I was extremely grateful to find Daisy at the last minute. While this was my first time ever booking within rover.com, Daisy made it an easy and effortless process. I am glad to say that I will be booking again during my next visit to Ohio.”

“Kimberly is great! She is very quick at responding and giving updates (including photos). We noticed our dog came back very comfortable and relaxed. We are already booking again! Thank you very much Kimberly!”

“My pups were so well loved and happy! I highly recommend Tara! She is very intentional about the care she provides, listening to care instructions and ensuring they’re implemented. Lucky dogs ( or cats) who get her care!”

“My dog had a fantastic time with Hasber. He sent lots of pictures and updates. He was also very flexible when I asked to extend the stay on short notice. She came home tired, which is not easy for an aussie!”

“Fantastic first experience. Kristine is an excellent sitter. We had a last minute meeting out of town and she very graciously agreed to take my 2 Goldendoodle girls for a few days. She sent me pupdates and photos to ease my mind Her home was spotless, yet she allowed our dogs to get comfy on her couch. I can’t thank her enough for taking great care of my fur babies.”

“Kristol was very sweet and accommodating! Had a great backyard for Kobe to run around in and an equally energetic pint sized friend for him to play with! I received photos and updates regularly. Thank you so much for caring for my little guy over the weekend!”

“Elya was by far the best dog sitter we’ve found on Rover. She was so intentional to spend time with our dog, taking her on walks and giving her a bath during her stay. It felt like we were dropping our dog off at a friends’ house rather than just a boarding place. Easily 5 stars!!!”

“Kyle did a great job taking care of Ollie! He was very accommodating with my last-minute request, communicated well, and was genuinely nice and welcoming. When I picked Ollie up, he was very excited and happy, with no signs of stress at all. I really appreciated how well Kyle and Hannah took care of him. We’ll definitely book again. Thank you both, and see y’all next time!”

“Sasha is one of the most caring and puppy friendly people I have met. I never once was anxious to leave my puppy Pepper with her. She sent me updates without asking and whenever I wanted a picture or to see how they were doing she was prompt to respond. I will definitely be coming back to Sasha for any future doggy sitting needs and recommend her to anyone in need of a dog sitter.”

“Amber and Michael took great care of my dogs while I was away! They were very attentive to each of my dogs individual needs. I was at ease, knowing my fogs were in good hands! My little dog loved the walks!! I plan on using them again, in the near future!”

“Nate and Whitney came to our rescue for a last minute visit with relatives. They sent lots of pictures and kept us informed of how Biggs was doing. We could enjoy our visit knowing he was in great hands! Thank you so much!”

About: I have been taking care of animals since I was 9 years old when I got my first cat named Midnight. I have had Australian Shepherds, dachshunds, Bengal cats, a Pomeranian (who will be 14 this year). You name it I have probably cared for it! I just absolutely love animals and always tell people I prefer them over humans lol I have been working from home for 6 years and am able to easily manage watching over fur babies while I work. I get an hour for lunch as well which gives me plenty of time during my work schedule to go for walks if the weather permits. I have a nice fenced in backyard, a safe neighborhood and no kids. My dog is definitely a spoiled princess and I wouldn't have it any other way. I would love to spoil your baby as well!
“Sierra watched our puppy that decided he wasn't going to like his crate. He destroyed a bed and started chewing the crate. She reached out and expressed her concerns for his safety and found the perfect solution for him!”

“Rebecca, Ethan, and their lovely family were amazing with our older dog! We are so grateful for their kindness and the care they took to let us know how well our pup was doing with them.”

“Pietro was absolutely amazing!! Maple is nervous around men but she was so comfortable with him. He sent plenty of pictures and videos and even kept her a few hours longer to help me out since I broke my leg. Would definitely recommend!!”

“Kathy kept our puppy in her home for 6 days while my husband and I were out of town. Rooney always has such a blast and gets along well with her other dogs. She always sends pictures and updates throughout the day. It’s so nice to be able to go away and know that Rooney is well taken care of. We love Kathy!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their South Solon home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your South Solon.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your South Solon sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
