“Kelsey is amazing! She took the best care of our sweet pup! We know he had the best time! She gave us daily updates which were so wonderful to see we will definitely be booking with her again!”

“Stacey and her family took great care of our pups. She sent photos and gave regular updates of how they were doing. Both dogs were happy and comfortable in their home.”

“My 8 m.o. Bernedoodle was well-loved and cared for by Emma (and her dogs)! Emma was responsive and reliable throughout the process, and I felt exceptionally comfortable having her care for my puppy in her home. I will definitely reschedule with Emma in the future.”

“Brandon and Brandon were excellent with my two dogs. Both of my girls got plenty of love, and cozy places to sleep. I got several pictures and updates on how they were doing. I will definitely reach out B+B again when my girls need a sitter.”

“Cindy was the best sitter for Mia! Mia spent 21 days on Cindys house, and Cindy sent me every day updates of Mia activities. Definitely Mia felt like home, also Mia spend time playing with others dogs and making new friends 🥰.”

“Bethany is AMAZING!! She's so loving and caring. Chopper stayed with her on 2 separate occasions at the last minute and she cared for chopper like her own!! Definitely recommend her!!”

“We are very happy with the care that Angie provided to our dog! He was in great spirits after his weekend stay - it seemed like he had a lot of fun and made some new friends! We also really appreciated the daily updates with photos - it meant a lot to be able to see our guy and know he was doing well while we were gone! We will definitely rebook in the future!”

“As always, Kathy is so very diligent with updates and communication. These days, our Ella can get very down when we’re away from her - not finishing her food, using the bathroom etc. Ella is forever comfortable with Kathy and is always tuckered for the days following a stay with her. Her yard is absolutely perfect, her home is very clean and she always welcomes with open arms!”

“Sasha was great with my dogs! I was so nervous because I have never left them with a stranger but Sasha immediately made us all feel comfortable and calm. I appreciate her detailed updates when I ask for them. I got lots of pictures of my pups and loved getting to see them while I was away. One of my dogs is 3 pounds and I was very nervous about her, but Sasha took great care of her. My other dog is a grumpy, older chihuahua with separation anxiety and he was perfectly content when I came to pick them up. We will definitely book with her any time I leave town in the future!”

“Fantastic first experience. Kristine is an excellent sitter. We had a last minute meeting out of town and she very graciously agreed to take my 2 Goldendoodle girls for a few days. She sent me pupdates and photos to ease my mind Her home was spotless, yet she allowed our dogs to get comfy on her couch. I can’t thank her enough for taking great care of my fur babies.”

“Hasber was great with communication and provided updates throughout our entire trip. Our kids loved seeing the pictures/videos he sent us. We will definitely be using Hasber again”

“Tom was great with Clyde! This was only a one night boarding, but Tom sent plenty of pictures and a video. I will definitely be using Tom again for a one nighter or a longer boarding of Clyde.”

“Amber was very enthusiastic and accommodating even before we dropped off our little girl. This was our first experience with Rover and she and her family made it a great one! She showed us around her home, where our pup would be playing outside, and made us feel right at ease! She sent lots of pics and video throughout the weekend so we knew Shasta was having a great time! Would definitely recommend her as a sitter. We’ll use her in the future for sure!!”

“Andrew and his family were very welcoming to Dolly, and they sent an update during our trip so we knew she was adjusting. At pick up it was easy to tell that she had become one of the gang. We would recommend Andrew to care for your pet!”

“Beth was great! She was responsive, adaptive, and accommodating. She provided daily pictures and updates, and adhered to all our instructions. She even cut our puppies nails. We would definitely go back to her. Thank you, Beth!”

About: I have a golden retriever puppy of my own, so I understand how important it is to have someone you trust caring for your pet. I’ve also had plenty of experience dog and cat sitting, and I’m comfortable with pets of all personalities and energy levels. During visits, I make sure your pet gets everything they need—meals, fresh water, potty breaks, playtime, and attention. I take time to get to know each pet so they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. I’m reliable and will always keep you updated with messages and photos so you can feel confident your pet is in good hands. I work part-time as a counselor, which gives me a flexible schedule for pet care throughout the week. On days I don’t have client sessions, I have even more daytime availability and can often accommodate additional or last-minute visits. I’m available for morning, midday, and evening visits and do my best to stay consistent with your pet’s routine. When caring for pets in their home, I focus on keeping their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. During drop-in visits and walks, I make sure they’re fed, have fresh water, get potty breaks, exercise, and plenty of attention. I take time to understand each pet’s personality—whether they need extra playtime or a calm, gentle approach—and always make sure they feel safe and cared for in their own space.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Midway home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Midway.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Midway sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
