Drop off and pick up: ***All dogs must be on a leash at drop off as we have free range chickens on the property. All dogs will be on a leash at pick up to load into your car. Drop off and pick up hours 8 am-10 am and 4-6 pm unless otherwise agreed upon between dog parents and host. Please notify us if you are going to be late and how late. Fees may apply for late drop off or pick up. New clients: If this is your first time staying at Autumn Valley Dog Retreat, we require a meet and greet within 3 days of your booking request. If the M&G is not completed the request may be cancelled. If your requested stay is longer than a weekend for first time guest, we may request a client paid overnight trial before confirming a week or longer. Crate policy: Dogs will be crated in our home for short periods if we are away to run an errand. This is for the safety of visiting dogs, our own dogs, and our home. Dogs will be crated at night for sleeping. We gladly accept your personal crates while visiting or your personal beds or blankets. Please add any questions to your booking request! We are a family of four with 2 beagles who will love and care and exercise your pups. I have a fenced in yard and 2 friendly medium sized dogs to keep your pup company. I offer the following services: *Walks: I can come by while you are at work or away to take your pet for a walk. Walks range from 30-60 minutes. I can walk up to two dogs at a time, and I can accommodate the level of speed your pet needs. I am trying to expand my walking services on Rover, as I have primarily been boarding, but I also have a lot of walking experience. *Drop-in: If you pet isn't a walker, I can come by and play with them and let them out to the bathroom. *Doggy Day Care: This service is perfect if you need pet care for just the day. I can host your pet at my home. *Boarding: NOTE due to high demand for this service, I am not accepting new clients at the moment. I live in West Nashville, in a townhome with a small fenced in yard. If your pet needs more exercise, we can go for a walk around my neighborhood or I have several parks within miles from house. Feel free to bring their favorite toy or bed, and crates are also welcome. I only board one pet at a time. If there are any behavioral issues I should be aware of, I trust the parent will tell me. *Pet Sitting: I can come to your home and sit for your pet. Meet and greets are available upon request. About: I have extensive experience with pets of all shapes, sizes, ages, breeds, types, colors, and temperaments. I have owned dogs, cats, turtles, frogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, and a lizard. (I once had a pet worm in an animal cracker box. I thought he would like living in a little zoo.) For 7 years I took care of my disabled mom as well as 5 dogs and 2 cats. During that time, I also worked as a foster volunteer for Music City Pug Rescue–most of which were geriatric surrenders whose owners had passed away or moved into a nursing facility. While I questioned my own sanity at the time, looking back now, those were some of the very best days of my life! Today I only have one dog, Marley, (my lucky charm rescue–a Tibetan Terrier who was just hours away from euthanasia when I saw his picture online) and I am renting my home. So while I can't board your pets, I am happy to take care of them at their own home! Sadly I have lost pets to terrible chronic illnesses like cancer and diabetes. I've been through two torn ACL surgeries, one hip surgery, blindness, deafness, and incontinence. My current pup, little Marley, has been paralyzed twice. The first time, I was able to afford an expensive back surgery. But when it happened again six months post-op, I rehabilitated him myself. Now, 6 years later, he's still walking! I thank God every morning and night for giving me another day with him. My experience caring for all of these dogs and their health problems means that I know how to care for their special needs. Whether it's taking a dog to weekly chemo treatments or giving him two shots of insulin each day, I am capable of caring for your pets and promise to do so just like they are my own. Whether it's for a few minutes, a few days, or even a few weeks, I would love to spoil your pet(s) with lots of hugs,and kisses. Not to mention walks, toys, fur brushings, head massages, playtimes, and treats–at your request, of course! Plu$, I am always willing to work with you on rates, so don't hesitate to make an offer. About: I’ve taken care of many pets since I was 16 years old. I have experience with cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, and birds. I have puppy and senior dog experience. I also have experience with administering medicines to rabbits,cats, and dogs. I enjoy taking dogs for walks and trips to the dog park or Starbucks runs for pup cups.
