About: If you're looking for a dog walker, boarding, or staying at your home to watch your pets then look no further! I have cared for many pets ranging from puppies to senior animals to reptiles. I work at the NC Zoo, so I am able to go home and let dogs out/walk them over my hour lunch. I do watch my parents 2 Australian shepherds whenever they are out of town at my home, with a fenced in backyard, and my 2 cats get along with the dogs fine! I am a full-time zookeeper with a rotating schedule. I am available for at home care, overnight care as well as drop in visits throughout the week! I have a small fenced in backyard and 2 animal friendly cats. If needed, I am able to close my cats into their separate room when I'm not home. If providing care at client's home, I will walk, feed, medicate and play with them as well as spend the night if needed.
“Jennifer, Took care of Chelita after her surgery. I am always afraid to leave my baby🐶 with anybody, but Jennifer has a thorough, detail oriented, pleasant personality. I know Chelita was in good hands. Also very punctual, right on the clock!”

About: I’ve always loved being around animals and making sure they get the proper care they need. All of my family has relied on me to potty train their dogs. I have experience with multiple different breeds because I worked at a boarding/training facility. I am currently on summer break because I am a teacher so I have plenty of availability. I’m a morning person so I typically get up then feed and walk my dogs then tackle whatever the day brings. I’m only not available on Tuesday evenings. I follow your pet's established routine, stick to their feeding schedule, and keep everything exactly as you left it. Whether your pet stays in their own familiar environment or we are somewhere new I'm fully present and attentive the entire visit. Pets are never left unsupervised in unfamiliar spaces, and I always follow each pet's routine to keep them stress-free and at ease.
About: I have worked at an animal hospital for 5 years. I’ve worked with dogs and cats of all sizes and all ages. I love animals and would love to be a small part of your pets lives. My family and friends trust me to take care of their pets and I have done so many times on many occasions. I am currently working part time, so I will have plenty of time to care for your fur babies. I am also available after work hours to visit and play with your babies. I have a fenced in backyard and a young, friendly fur baby to keep your babies company. I also have room to crate your baby if needed.

“Brittany treated our dog as if it were her own. He was so happy when I returned I could tell he had been very well taken care of. I greatly appreciate her service and would highly recommend her to others.”

“Lola is so sweet and my dog really seems to enjoy his time with her. Anytime I texted her to check on my pup she was there to answer almost immediately. I will definitely be booking her again. She was super understanding and I couldn’t have asked for someone better to watch after my puppy while I was away.”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs all my life, so 37 long years! I live in a home with a big yard that is unfenced, but do have a leash in the yard option to let your pup run around and can take on fun walks as well! My daughter is almost 15 and also a dog lover and will gladly let your dog snuggle with her. Your pet will be very loved while here! My dogs are very loved and taken care of! I don’t mind if your dogs need to be crated during the night or left out! They are more than welcome to sleep in one of my beds or on the couch! I try my best to accommodate to make them feel more comfortable! I have a 40lb black lab and a 6 pound chihuahua! They get along so well and even love to cuddle. I have a 15 year old daughter who is a huge pet lover as well.

About: I have had pets all my life and currently have 3 cats. I’ve volunteered at a dog park during high school, as well as fostering dogs. I care for my own pets by scooping their litter boxes, trimming their claws, and feeding them morning, mid-day, and night. Giving them overall care and attention. I treat all animals I come across with an abominable amount of love and respect, I will always try my best to make sure any animal is taken care of and appreciated.
“I had never tried Rover and never meet Christopher prior to this spur of the moment trip. I must say I am impressed. Christopher came over a day or 2 before my trip to meet my dog Annie and let me show him around. He did everything I asked him too and made Annie feel comfortable (even during the 4th of July festivities, when she is usually petrified). I will most definitely ask Christopher to drop-in on Annie in the future.”

About: I have cared for many of my own pets over the years! I have a passion for helping animals, all of the pets I have owned have been rescues of some kind. I look forward to taking care of your pets and having fun with them. Most of the time we truly don’t deserve their unwavering love, but taking care of them is very important! I have experience with dogs of many sizes and breeds. I volunteer for dog walks at a local shelter every chance I get, and I look forward to playing with and taking your animals outside! I am most experienced with dogs, but love pets of all kinds. Also I think it is very important to respect the animals space and home 😊
“This was our first time using Rover. Morgann video chatted with me to meet the dogs and answer my questions. Morgann communicated about how each visit went and took great care of the dogs. Thank you!”

“I cannot put into words how amazing this young lady was with Piper and Momma Cat. She went above and beyond with my babies. I highly recommend using her for your furbabies. And I know I'll be using her again.”
About: From caring for my own dogs and my time at the SPCA, I have experience caring for dogs. I enjoy their company and helping you feel peace of mind that your pet is being loved on. Caring for your pet fits into my schedule as a part-time worker. I am able to be flexible with my schedule to fit your needs. I am good at reading animal’s behavior, and listening to what they’re saying. Respecting your pets needs while providing the best care is what I strive to offer.
About: Animals have always played an important part in my life. I have been pet sitting for family and friends since I was 10 years old. I have over 30 years of experience in animal husbandry and care. Whenever a family member needs to go out of town, I am the person that they ask to feed their cats and dogs. In college, I took my roommates dogs out for potty breaks and walks when she had classes. In 2021, I stayed for 5 months at a friend's house pet sitting their Chihuahua and cat. I volunteer to walk the dogs at the Guilford County animal shelter every Tuesday. Not only am I a pet sitter, I'm also a pet owner. I currently am owned by four cats and one spoiled pitbull. I just returned from being a Peace Corps volunteer in North Macedonia. My usual fulltime job is TESOL instructor, and this can be done remotely. I am currently not teaching. I am flexible and willing to conform to whatever your pet needs. I'm willing to follow any directions or care that you require for your pet. As a dog walker, I have the equipment to complete the task. I keep poop bags, dog treats, and extra leashes in my car. If I am in your home, I will be sure to follow your directions and keep you posted with pictures throughout the day.
About: I’ve dog sat a lot for family, friends, and even friends of my family. I’ve watched all different sizes and breeds from Husky’s and Pit mixes to Teacup Chihuahuas. I’ve mainly just done stop by feedings and overnight sitting. Since it’s summer I’m free for the most part since I don’t have college classes but I do have quite a bit of concerts and beach trips but I keep my availability updated very frequently. I currently have a part time job in Greensboro Tuesday-Saturday 4am-9am so I’d be happy to come right after I get off work I can stop by your home when available to feed, let potty, or even get a little energy out. At my house my dog is very lazy so we usually just hangout in my bed all day but when she decides she wants to play I take her outside with her ball or throw it down the hallway.
“We were in a tough situation needing dog care for a hard hour and a little unpredictable as to how many hours. Morgan was extremely accommodating!! We instantly felt safe and comfortable our dog would feel the same!! Thank you Morgan! Will definitely call upon you our next trip to asheboro !!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
