“Theresa was great with my two fur babies while I was away on vacation. I felt at ease especially seeing pictures of them while I was away. I was impressed with the level of communication i recieved from her which i find very important. My dogs seemed happy when I got home not stressed that I was gone. I highly recommend Theresa service!”

“Mackenzie did a wonderful job taking care of my elderly kitty who needs extra attention and meds. I almost didn’t leave over Christmas because I was so worried about him, but she eased my concerns with thoughtful care, attention to detail, and detailed notes. I highly recommend Mackenzie and will be working with her in the future.”

“Jessica did a wonderful job taking care of our two shy cats, even on short notice! It usually takes a few visits for our cats to warm up to new people, but Jessica was so welcoming and patient with them that she quickly earned their trust. I loved receiving her detailed updates and high-quality photos of our kitties, and they seemed much calmer and more content than they usually act after we’ve been away. I would highly recommend Jessica as a pet sitter and look forward to working with her in the future!”

“Elizabeth is an amazing Rover! She cared for our senior cat and provided compassionate care. She was very responsible and followed all instructions perfectly. She sent us daily photos and updates. We came home to a very happy cat and everything was left neat and orderly. We appreciate you Elizabeth! Thank you so much! 🐈”

“Elizabeth was great! I loved her notes and pictures! She was very communicative and always let me know when she was coming over! I would absolutely book with her again!”

“Renee did so well in caring for my cat while I was gone. She was attentive and gave great updates and provided the loving care my baby needed. I highly recommend her and will be using her again”

“Laurie is amazing! She dropped in on our three cats and they THRIVED in her care! This has not been the case with past experiences (not with Rover or Laurie). My one cat in particular takes us leaving her pretty hard. She becomes very anxious, aggressively grooms and ends up losing weight. This did not happen in Laurie’s care; Lily actually gained weight! I am absolutely thrilled and it is incredible to have such peace of mind knowing you are leaving your pets with someone who goes above and beyond for them. I find Laurie to be personable and professional as well as dependable, considerate and clearly competent and compassionate with animals. I also want to say that this is the first time using Rover and am impressed with how the service is managed and like the ease of updates and check ins with the app, etc. Overall it was a great experience and I recommend both Rover and Laurie.”

“I couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter! Matisa was professional, reliable, and genuinely cared about my dog. Matisa provided regular updates and photos, which gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. It was clear my dog was happy, well cared for, and received plenty of attention and affection. I came home to a relaxed, healthy pup, and I wouldn’t hesitate to book with Matisa again. Highly recommend Matisa to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring to watch their pet!”

About: I have been taking care of the animals of close friends and family since I was 19 years old. In addition to taking care of cats and dogs, I am also an experienced farm hand. I have taken care of horses, chickens, donkeys, and Alpacas. Whatever your pet needs are, I can do it. I am currently doing volunteer work on Tuesdays, but am available every other day of the week. Early mornings and afternoons work best for me, but I am available later in the evening when needed I can do feedings, walks, drop ins, and full night stays. I can also administer oral medication. I have a dog of my own and she gets daily medication I give her myself.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs for a few years. Dog sat my coworkers dogs varying in size whenever they would go on vacation! I have my own dog who is a husky so i treat every dog under my care just like they were my Bane (his name). I have been teaching him some tricks as well. I work full time but available during the weekdays during the middle of my shift as I have a split work day! During the weekends I am available as needed . I have a crate for a dog at my home. No fence available but I do have an invisible fence that can be used if needed.

“Mariah was wonderful with our fur family. She spent time with everyone and sent pictures of happy pups/cats to me daily. I could tell the dogs were happy since they kept bringing her gifts of everything they found on the floor. Even the cats who don't trust most people came out of hiding for her. I will definitely ask Mariah to sit again.”
About: From big dogs to countless cats, pets have always had a strong, joyful presence in my life! My pit bull at home is the reason I have such a soft spot for big dogs! I will always believe that the bigger the dog, the sweeter they often are, so I am more than comfortable caring for larger dogs. As for cats, I have two little spicy cats of my own, so I know how to handle even the sassiest of personalities! A couple of my other cats can also be timid and nervous at times, so I’ve learned how to be patient and gentle with pets that need a little coaxing. I’ve also pet-sat for neighbors’ dogs and coworkers’ cats on campus, giving me experience with a variety of personalities, routines, and care needs! During college, I also volunteered with a local animal shelter through their Dog Day Out program. You could often find me taking out a dog, going on walks, outings around campus, and car rides to help them socialize and decompress. I'm currently taking a gap year while completing online prerequisites and shadowing for graduate school, so my schedule is fortunately pretty flexible! That means I can easily fit pet care into my day, whether it's an early morning check-in, a midday walk, or evening cuddles. Whether I'm caring for my own pets or those in a client's home, I always strive to follow their normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications (if needed), and, of course, treats! I also always strive to make sure both your pets and your home are safe and well cared for. Doors will always be double-checked, lights will be turned off in the right rooms, and I'll keep a close eye on your pet(s) whether we're out on a walk or just hanging out together at home! I understand that every family and every pet is unique, so I do my best to respect your routines while making your pets feel safe, cared for, happy, and loved.
About: I have been around animals for my whole life, taking care and experiencing with 4 litters of puppies and watching them grow. I have pet sit for the past 5 years and still do! I am open to pet sit any animal of any size and can do it at your house or mine! I am great with medication scheduling and certain or special feeding schedules. As of right now, I am available Monday through Sunday at any times! I will be having a part time job soon but will still be available for part time work! I always create a little plan before I sit any client's animal. I like to know how the animal is personality wise and if I need to be aware of any medications or certain needs. I also make my own plan with clients consent as in walks around the neighborhood and make sure I interact with the animal with play time and loving.
About: Unfortunately, working and moving a lot. I cannot give the best life to my dog and cat anymore. I had to leave them with my brother but I would love to give some support to pet owners who are busy due to work and life. Monday to Friday after 6 pm. Weekends and holidays all day long. I love going for walks, feed them, or I have them over the weekend. I would love to give a house and take care of pets in my apartment. I live by myself, but I work a 9-5 job.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
