About: I’ve had dogs throughout my entire life, but currently I have a 7 year old golden retriever I treat like my child! I’ve always trained all of my dogs myself and participated in many safety training classes regarding training. I am currently in graduate school and unemployed, so mostly it’s just me and my golden at home most days, so I have plenty of spare time to help in your pet’s care! I am open to boarding and house sitting, but also happy to do drop-ins or just walks! I have a big fenced in yard and a sweet golden who loves making new friends to keep your pup company! I have plenty of room to crate your dog if needed.

About: I would love to walk/ hike with your pet, care for it at your home, or drop in to let them out. I have always loved animals ever since I was little. My first job was a pet sitting service, I was frequently asked to watch neighbors dogs, cats, bunnies, fish, etc. My friends often rely on me to take care of their animals while out of town and I have experience with older dogs as well as puppies. My dog passed away earlier this year and I won't be ready for anther dog anytime soon, but I would love to share love with your animals. I work seasonally and am currently off for my winter season. I would love to spend time with your animals either at your home or on walks/hikes! I can not watch pets in my own home but in my client's home I make sure to follow their rules and ask the important questions up front. I make sure to not leave pets alone too long and to be there for feeding times and to keep them company at night.

I'm currently in school Wednesday through Friday, but I'm available for pet care from Friday night through Tuesday night. I build my day around the pets I’m caring for to ensure they’re visited on time, fed according to their routine, and given attention during each drop-in. I don’t overbook, so each pet gets focused care. I care for pets in their own home by following the owner’s routine as closely as possible. I carefully follow feeding instructions, refresh water, provide potty breaks, playtime, and attention based on the pet’s energy level and personality. I’m comfortable giving oral medications if needed. During each visit, I monitor for any changes in behavior and make sure your home is secure before leaving. I also send photo updates so you can feel confident and at ease while you’re away.

About: I'm from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and I graduated from Pinson Valley high. I attend Lawson State Community college, where I'm currently majoring in Veterinary Medicine. While participating in the Agricultural Science program at Tuscaloosa Career and Technology Center, I gained experience in fish reproduction and animal handling. A lifelong pet lover, I have raised ten animals since childhood. My part-time schedule ensures I have ample time to provide attentive care for your pets I'm energetic, vigilant, and playful, so we’re bound to have tons of fun together! I also keep the doors closed at home, so you won't have to worry about anyone wandering off.

About: I have always loved animals and have taken care of one kind of animal or another for as long as I can remember. As a teen I volunteered at animal shelters, then as adult I became a foster for the Humane Society in Jacksonville Florida for years before moving to Birmingham last year. I miss having the opportunity to care for a variety of animals and getting to know them if only for a short while. I've taken care of very tiny newborns, sick, old, special needs and of course healthy animals. It would be my pleasure to welcome your fur babies with open arms into my home or yours. They will be treated like my own. If you are in the process of training, I will pick up where you left off with potty, leash training, etc. I can give baths and brushes if needed. I am a independent contractor and I make my own schedule. My work is very pet friendly so at the discretion of the parents, if they enjoy car rides, they can can either come with or I will stay home with them during their stay. I am very flexible. Whether my home or yours, I will follow your instructions / schedule down to the last detail. I always strive to provide a safe, loving, fun and learning environment that caters to your individual pet's needs.

About: I have owned dogs ever since I was a little kid. I currently have 3 dogs who are all great dogs. I am currently a teacher but like hanging out with dogs in my spare time. I have worked for a dog boarding facility for 5 years and have all the training needed to care for your pups! I am a full time teacher but wake up extra early to walk the dogs. When I am at work the dogs will spend time inside I have a fenced in back yard where your dogs could spend time playing. I do not allow dogs to stay outside while I am gone

“Alexis was great with my babies while I was gone! My dog does not take easily to new people, but she relaxed around Alexis pretty quickly in our pre-sitting meet up. I also didn't have to hunt down my cat like I usually do when sitters are over...which is a change. It's not them, but Xena doesn't like anyone...lol. She came in before I even had to look for her! Alexis is a good communicator and sent photos regularly to let me know how they were doing. I'll definitely hire her again.”

About: I am the daughter of one amazing veterinary technician, I couldn't resist joining the field myself. Growing up, we had almost every animal you could think of, and I love all creatures big and small. In my 15 years of veterinary experience, I've had the pleasure of caring for so many of these wonderful creatures. I am very patient and understanding when it comes to animals, and I think they sense it. I know the do's and don'ts for many animals, especially cats and dogs. I've given subcutaneous fluids, insulin, made sure medications are given on time. I am capable of noticing signs in animals that would require a trip to the vet, or when they are needing a little extra T.L.C. I would be honored to care for your loved ones. Thank you for considering me. I make my own schedule at work, and I work from home a lot, which makes my schedule highly flexible. So your baby(s) will never have to be in need and they will receive the full time care that they deserve. I have a fenced in yard that my dog absolutely LOVES to run and play in. The house I moved into has 1 unoccupied fully furnished bedroom and my bedroom is always open for snuggles at bedtime. My house is my pets house, they are allowed on the furniture, and there are toys, beds, and blankets for them everywhere. However, if there are certain rules and training that needs to be followed I will be more than happy to accommodate. My Violet (45lb Black Mouth Curr mix) is only a year old so she has a lot of fun playing with other dogs big and small, she sweet, kind, and gentle. My cat Thackery Binx is an 8 year old cat so he normally just sleeps in his cat tree or sees what I'm up to in the kitchen. I have plenty of room to accommodate your furry loved ones, and all the comforts of home. My pets are fully vaccinated and I would be happy to provide their paperwork upon request.

“Christie was excellent. My puppies loved her. While we were away, she sent me pics of the puppies every day doing something in their normal daily routine. She took them for walkies, which cemented her and their relationship because it is one of their favorite activities which we told her was optional because they get super excited and is like walking a team of pulling sled dogs. She handled it with ease. When we returned home after the "happy to see you" reunion, the puppies were calm, full of tail wags, and going back to Christie to be petted and loved on. Christie also watered my garden for me while we were gone. She is very neat and tidy and the house was exactly mirror to when we left the week before. Our puppies have limited access to other people so they are suspicious of all new people they encounter, Christie won our dogs over with ease because she has a very gentle, kind, and genuinely caring nature as person.
