As a registered nurse, I’m trained to recognize subtle changes in behavior, respond calmly in emergencies, and confidently administer medications or follow detailed care plans. I’m also a proud dog mom to two golden retrievers, so I understand firsthand the energy, affection, and attention dogs need to truly thrive—not just get by. I’ve cared for a wide range of breeds with different temperaments and needs, and I helped foster six puppies in high school, which sparked my lifelong passion for animal care. Your dog won’t just be supervised—they’ll be genuinely cared for, understood, and treated like family in a safe, loving environment you can feel completely confident about. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine because as a nurse, I only work three days a week, which gives me four full days dedicated to being home and fully present. On my days off, I have complete flexibility for walks, drop-ins, boarding, playtime, and sticking closely to your dog’s normal routine. Even on the days I do work, my schedule is predictable, allowing me to plan dependable care and maintain consistency. Nursing has made me highly organized and intentional with my time, so pet care isn’t something I squeeze in — it’s something I thoughtfully plan for. Your pet would receive focused, reliable attention from someone whose schedule truly allows for it. I tailor my care to each pet’s personality, routine, and needs, whether they’re staying in my home or I’m caring for them in theirs. In my home, pets are treated like part of the family. They receive structured playtime, regular potty breaks, enrichment activities, and plenty of affection throughout the day. I’m mindful of maintaining their normal feeding schedules, exercise routines, and any medical needs, and as a nurse, I’m comfortable administering medications and monitoring for any changes in behavior or health. Safety is always a priority, and I create a calm, supervised environment where dogs can feel secure and comfortable. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as consistent as possible to reduce stress. I follow all instructions closely, whether that includes specific feeding guidelines, medications, crate routines, or preferred walking routes. I spend quality time with them beyond the basics—playing, cuddling, and providing companionship—so they don’t just feel “checked on,” but genuinely cared for. I also provide regular updates and photos so owners can feel confident and connected while they’re away.

About: I've personally owned many different types of animals throughout my life including rats, racoons, squirrels, ferrets, hamsters, rabbits, chickens, goats, dogs, and cats. I currently own 3 dogs (Great Dane, an Australian Shepherd, and a Lab mix), 2 cats, and 6 chickens. I worked as a groomer and a broader for a while at a pet store. I understand every animal has certain needs that need to be met for it to live a happy and healthy life and I will work my hardest to meet those needs. I'm a stay at home mom that has plenty of time to hang out with any animals that may need it. I'm very comfortable with any animal I meet and I love all animals. Also available for farm animals and reptiles. I'm a stay at home mom with kids in school so I am pretty available all day long every day. I stay at home on most weekends too so I'm available almost 24/7. I have 3 separate fenced in yards they may use. My personal dogs are crate trained and I have crates available for others to use. I can keep them completely separated from my personal animals very easily or they can play together after a safe introduction.

About: I’ve had dogs throughout my entire life, but currently I have a 7 year old golden retriever I treat like my child! I’ve always trained all of my dogs myself and participated in many safety training classes regarding training. I am currently in graduate school and unemployed, so mostly it’s just me and my golden at home most days, so I have plenty of spare time to help in your pet’s care! I am open to boarding and house sitting, but also happy to do drop-ins or just walks! I have a big fenced in yard and a sweet golden who loves making new friends to keep your pup company! About: I’ve had dogs all my life. We have 9 at our house. I specifically care for 3. They are my children 🤣 i will love yours the same 🩵 I am currently in college full time so i’m at school 2 days a week and studying and playing with my fur babies the rest. I can care for your pets anyway you are used to and most comfortable for you and them! I can crate them if needed and or play outside with them!

About: I understand how much pets mean to their owners, and I treat every animal with the same care and attention I'd want for my own. I'm patient, reliable, and mindful of each pet's unique needs, making sure they always feel safe and comfortable while you're away!! I'm currently in school Wednesday through Friday, but I'm available for pet care from Friday night through Tuesday night. This gives me plenty of time to provide attentive care for your pets while you're gone. When caring for pets, I follow their usual routine to keep them comfortable and stress-free. I make sure they're fed on schedule, have fresh water, and get plenty of exercise and attention. I keep the home clean, respect house rules, and provide updates so owners can feel at ease.

“Christie was excellent. My puppies loved her. While we were away, she sent me pics of the puppies every day doing something in their normal daily routine. She took them for walkies, which cemented her and their relationship because it is one of their favorite activities which we told her was optional because they get super excited and is like walking a team of pulling sled dogs. She handled it with ease. When we returned home after the "happy to see you" reunion, the puppies were calm, full of tail wags, and going back to Christie to be petted and loved on. Christie also watered my garden for me while we were gone. She is very neat and tidy and the house was exactly mirror to when we left the week before. Our puppies have limited access to other people so they are suspicious of all new people they encounter, Christie won our dogs over with ease because she has a very gentle, kind, and genuinely caring nature as person. I have a large home with a big fenced in back yard and I live 2 houses down from a huge park that I take the dogs on walks to. I've been dog sitting for about 12 years now and am loving it. I enjoy having and keeping all your fur babies safe while your away. All my rover clients receive pictures and updates on how there dogs are doing from the time your furbaby shows up till the time they leave. My prices are always changing so keep an eye out to get a deal. Let me know if your dogs are on any special diets, can have treats and if they are food aggressive. I understand the importance of caring for animals just as they were my own and make it my mission to have happy dogs staying with me. It is very common for first time borders to be nervous, so don't hesitate to ask a lot of questions! I have experience caring for multiple dogs at a time, I also accept long term stays as well as last minute bookings. Before requesting a booking with me, please note: all dogs must not be aggressive towards other dogs or humans, must be fully vaccinated, and must not bark consistently, especially at night. suggested items to bring: food with written feeding instructions, treats, small bed or blanket, and bowls. I take the dogs out Around 7 AM each morning and then several times throughout the day and usually end our day about 7- 8PM I have a large backyard for the dogs to play in and I have crates in case I unexpectedly get an aggressive dog or your pup enjoys having a safe space to sleep. I’m home full-time and I am available to love on your pups on weekdays and weekends. Your pup will get the love and attention it’s used too. I have a large fenced in yard for your pups to enjoy. I Also live next to a very huge park that your dog will enjoy walking in and enjoying others out there with their fur babies. Also I have crates in case I unexpectedly get an aggressive dog or if your fur baby just wants a safe and comfy place to sleep.

About: I have always loved animals and have taken care of one kind of animal or another for as long as I can remember. As a teen I volunteered at animal shelters, then as adult I became a foster for the Humane Society in Jacksonville Florida for years before moving to Birmingham last year. I miss having the opportunity to care for a variety of animals and getting to know them if only for a short while. I've taken care of very tiny newborns, sick, old, special needs and of course healthy animals. It would be my pleasure to welcome your fur babies with open arms into my home or yours. They will be treated like my own. If you are in the process of training, I will pick up where you left off with potty, leash training, etc. I can give baths and brushes if needed. I am a independent contractor and I make my own schedule. My work is very pet friendly so at the discretion of the parents, if they enjoy car rides, they can can either come with or I will stay home with them during their stay. I am very flexible.
