“Jessica and Ben do such a good job watching our dog! She is so flexible with scheduling and always sends us pictures at least once a day to keep us updated! Cannot recommend them enough!”

“This was my first time using Rover for my pet Shelby. I was pretty lucky to find a great pet sitter, Jenna was fantastic. She has a wonderful puppy friendly home and is very knowledgeable and loving with animals. I'm grateful my puppy was in good hands.”

“My dogs had a great time this weekend at Baileys! I will definitely call Bailey again for help when I’m out of town. She was kind and welcoming and my dogs were at home within minutes!”

“This is my first time using Rover and I am so glad I found Britnie! She spoiled my pup just like at home, and my pup was able to play all day. Pretty sure she didn’t want to go home! I got daily detailed updates and pics of my Bella having fun. Britnie definitely seemed to treat Bella like her own, which I appreciated greatly. She worked with Bella and her sometimes odd habits, so I knew she was in good hands. The next time I head out of town, I’ll definitely be booking with Britnie again!”

“Amanda was wonderful with our older dog, Bogey. I appreciate the flexibility in us coming back early and all the updates with photos! Bogey slept like a rock when he got home so we know he had a great time!”

“Kate did an excellent job watching Birdie! She asked all the right questions to make sure Birdie would feel comfortable and right at home, and made me feel comfortable with leaving my dog for the first time since getting her. Birdie loved her vacation at Kate’s house! I 110% recommend Kate.”

“Great pet sitters! Jin and Brian, along with their sweet kids, took amazing care of my cat. They kept me updated with photos every day, played with him, and made sure his food and all of his conditions were perfect. They truly went above and beyond to make sure he had the best possible experience. This was my cat’s first time being around another cat since he was a few months old, so I was nervous at first since they already have a cat. But they handled everything so well — my cat was never scared and felt comfortable right away. I truly appreciated their care and attention. I definitely recommend them!”

“Amazing!! Our doodle loves going to Kellie’s to hangout with her doodle and her kiddos. She does a great job accommodating and keeping us updated with pics. We’ve used her twice now and will continue to do so!”

About: As a senior pet sitter with over 14 years of experience caring for dogs, I offer patience, kindness, and dependable care. I understand that every dog is unique and deserves love, attention, and a safe, comfortable environment. I care for each pet as if they were my own, giving you peace of mind while you're away. As a retired pet sitter, I have plenty of time to provide attentive, loving care throughout the day. I welcome boarding any day of the week and can easily follow your pet's usual routine. My typical schedule includes morning walks between 7:00–9:00 a.m., playtime and companionship during the day, afternoon potty breaks, an evening walk around 5:00–7:00 p.m., dinner, and lots of affection to help your pet feel relaxed and at home. Your dog will be welcomed into a safe, loving home where they will receive plenty of attention and companionship. I have a small, fully fenced yard for supervised outdoor time, along with regular walks and play throughout the day. My two grandchildren visit from time to time, and they occasionally bring their friendly Shih Tzu. If your dog enjoys being around children and other small dogs, they'll have opportunities to socialize in a relaxed environment. I always provide a calm, clean, and caring home and will follow your pet's feeding schedule, exercise routine, and any special instructions to help them feel happy and comfortable.
“Molly does an EXCEPTIONAL job with our home and pets every time. She follows our routine and keeps everything in order while we are away and can relax and trust everything is well cared for. We cannot recommend her and her talent with animals enough. She is beautiful inside and out and gifted with love for pets and plants! 15/10!!”

About: I’ve done a lot of puppy raising and training. I have had 6 labs that I have raised and trained from 6 weeks old on. I also have experience with senior dogs, giving medication and helping them to get around and be comfortable. I would love to watch your new puppy while you are away for the day or longer. I can help with basic training socialization. I am occasionally subbing for special education at a school at the corner of my street. If I happen to get called into sub I am able to come home at lunch only leaving the dogs for a few hours at a time. I have a 5 year old yellow Labrador that is very friendly and gets along very well with other dogs. I have a spacious, fully fenced yard—and a built-in companion! Dogs I welcome into our home are treated like part of the family, just like our own beloved fur baby. I also have a crate available, which our dog uses freely whenever she wants a cozy spot to relax.
“Liz was great with my baby! She sent pictures every day and was flexible about our drop off and pick up times. She made sure to keep my girl safe and comfortable and I could not be happier with her service! We will be back!”

“Great experience and great people. Very good with questions to ensure Zeus would be a good fit up front. They were very good with bringing Zeus in. Patient in making sure he was comfortable and relaxed in their home. Highly recommend.”

About: Hey, I’m Jeremy! An animal lover, outdoor enthusiast, and long-time pet caregiver. I’ve been walking dogs since I was 12 and have experience with both cats and dogs since before I can remember. I currently have a cat who I’ve cared for over the past three years, and before moving out on my own, I helped take care of our family’s pets, including three wonderful dogs over the years. I was involved in all parts of their care: daily walks, playtime, feeding, and of course, the less glamorous tasks like picking up after them. I'm patient, dependable, and always aim to make animals feel safe and loved. When I’m not spending time with animals, I work full-time in administration and graphic design at a funeral home. I’m also an officer in the Canadian Armed Forces, working with the Cadet Program. I work with youth aged 12 to 18 at the Sarnia Army Cadets, helping them build confidence, leadership, teamwork, and outdoor survival skills in a structured, military environment. I offer dog walking, play dates, house and pet sitting, and pet sitting in my own home. I love getting to know each pet’s unique personality and making sure they feel happy, relaxed, and cared for. I’m also a photographer — so don’t be surprised if you get a few great shots of your furry friend during our time together! Whether it’s keeping your dog active or making sure your cat feels at home, I treat every pet like family. I can't wait to meet my new fur friend! I work full-time on a 3-week rotating schedule, but I always know my availability in advance. My weekends rotate like this: one weekend I work, the next is a long weekend (Friday to Monday off), and the third is a regular Saturday–Sunday off. I usually have one weekday off as well, which I can use for walks or pet visits. Most days, I’m also able to pop by during my lunch break—usually between 1:30 and 2:30—for a quick walk, play session, or check-in. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a fully fenced backyard for safe outdoor time and plenty of space inside for pets to relax. I do have a cat, but she keeps to herself and tends to avoid other animals, so there’s very little interaction unless your pet is especially curious. I keep my home clean, pet-friendly, and free of any hazards. Whether I’m caring for your pet in my home or visiting yours, I always follow feeding routines, leash rules, and any specific instructions you leave. You’ll also get regular updates so you can feel at ease knowing your pet is in good hands.
About: I've had pets my entire life and have experience caring for dogs of all sizes and breeds, from Yorkies to Huskies. As a proud cat mom to two energetic "tiny terrors," I'm also comfortable caring for cats and understanding their unique personalities. In addition to dogs and cats, I am an experienced exotic pet keeper and understand the importance of proper care, feeding schedules, and attention to each pet's individual needs. I love spending time outdoors playing with dogs, going for walks, and helping them stay active and happy. I'm also experienced in caring for senior dogs and understand the patience, gentleness, and extra attention they may require. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, loved, and right at home while you're away. Animals have always been a part of my daily life. Between caring for my own cats and years of experience with dogs, exotic pets, and senior animals, pet care is second nature to me. I work remotely, which allows me to be home throughout the day and provide plenty of attention, companionship, potty breaks, and care as needed. I make time each day for feeding, exercise, enrichment, and lots of affection. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, loved, and right at home while you're away. I provide care in both my home and my clients' homes, depending on what works best for you and your pet. I have a fenced-in yard where dogs can safely play and get exercise. Since I work remotely, I am home throughout the day and can provide plenty of attention, companionship, potty breaks, and playtime. I follow your pet's normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, medication (if needed), and lots of love and attention. I am comfortable crating pets if needed. As I am just getting started, I do not currently have a crate available, so I ask that owners provide one if their pet is crate trained or requires crating. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and right at home while you're away. 🐾

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Smiths Creek home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Smiths Creek.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Smiths Creek sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
