Angie and her family took good care of my parent's dog, Murphy. She sent daily photos of the dog and shared some of their activities. Angie was very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely book her again to care for Murphy. I highly recommend her! 🐾

I’m a full-time nurse I work most days during the week. Looking to do this when I’m available. Let me know if you have any more questions. I have a fenced in yard and two friendly dogs. My younger dog Hank is still a Puppy with lots of energy to share. We spend lots of time outside playing.

Zayda loved staying with Melissa and Willow. She was easy to communicate with via the app, flexible with dropoff/pickup, and sent daily updates and photos. Zayda came home exhausted from her fun week of playing with Willow and happily slept all day. She was happy and content when we picked her up. 10/10 would reccomend, great location for those traveling from MI to Canada or vice versa!

About: As a senior pet sitter with over 14 years of experience caring for dogs, I offer patience, kindness, and dependable care. I understand that every dog is unique and deserves love, attention, and a safe, comfortable environment. I care for each pet as if they were my own, giving you peace of mind while you're away. As a retired pet sitter, I have plenty of time to provide attentive, loving care throughout the day. I welcome boarding any day of the week and can easily follow your pet's usual routine. My typical schedule includes morning walks between 7:00–9:00 a.m., playtime and companionship during the day, afternoon potty breaks, an evening walk around 5:00–7:00 p.m., dinner, and lots of affection to help your pet feel relaxed and at home. Your dog will be welcomed into a safe, loving home where they will receive plenty of attention and companionship. I have a small, fully fenced yard for supervised outdoor time, along with regular walks and play throughout the day. My two grandchildren visit from time to time, and they occasionally bring their friendly Shih Tzu. If your dog enjoys being around children and other small dogs, they'll have opportunities to socialize in a relaxed environment. I always provide a calm, clean, and caring home and will follow your pet's feeding schedule, exercise routine, and any special instructions to help them feel happy and comfortable.

About: Hey, I’m Jeremy! An animal lover, outdoor enthusiast, and long-time pet caregiver. I’ve been walking dogs since I was 12 and have experience with both cats and dogs since before I can remember. I currently have a cat who I’ve cared for over the past three years, and before moving out on my own, I helped take care of our family’s pets, including three wonderful dogs over the years. I was involved in all parts of their care: daily walks, playtime, feeding, and of course, the less glamorous tasks like picking up after them. I'm patient, dependable, and always aim to make animals feel safe and loved. When I’m not spending time with animals, I work full-time in administration and graphic design at a funeral home. I’m also an officer in the Canadian Armed Forces, working with the Cadet Program. I work with youth aged 12 to 18 at the Sarnia Army Cadets, helping them build confidence, leadership, teamwork, and outdoor survival skills in a structured, military environment. I offer dog walking, play dates, house and pet sitting, and pet sitting in my own home. I love getting to know each pet’s unique personality and making sure they feel happy, relaxed, and cared for. I’m also a photographer — so don’t be surprised if you get a few great shots of your furry friend during our time together! Whether it’s keeping your dog active or making sure your cat feels at home, I treat every pet like family. I can't wait to meet my new fur friend! I work full-time on a 3-week rotating schedule, but I always know my availability in advance. My weekends rotate like this: one weekend I work, the next is a long weekend (Friday to Monday off), and the third is a regular Saturday–Sunday off. I usually have one weekday off as well, which I can use for walks or pet visits. Most days, I’m also able to pop by during my lunch break—usually between 1:30 and 2:30—for a quick walk, play session, or check-in. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a fully fenced backyard for safe outdoor time and plenty of space inside for pets to relax. I do have a cat, but she keeps to herself and tends to avoid other animals, so there’s very little interaction unless your pet is especially curious. I keep my home clean, pet-friendly, and free of any hazards. Whether I’m caring for your pet in my home or visiting yours, I always follow feeding routines, leash rules, and any specific instructions you leave. You’ll also get regular updates so you can feel at ease knowing your pet is in good hands.

Bailey is AMAZING!!!! My son and I went on vacation, it was my first time ever going without my pups, and I was so nervous. Bailey set up a meet and greet so we could meet her before. Then while we were gone she sent me messages letting me know how they were doing and pics! It helped me so much to enjoy my time away! She definitely went above and beyond caring for my pups and myself! I would recommend to to everyone!

Every sitter has their own rhythm and routine, but most will follow the flow that keeps your dog happiest. Sitters can give meals on your dog's regular schedule, provide a comfortable place for sleep, and plenty of one-on-one attention.

Sitters may also include daily walks in the neighborhood during your dog's boarding stay. You can also request photo and message updates throughout so you can see which local landmarks or neighborhoods your dog is enjoying.

If your dog is a little shy, consider booking a one-night trial stay! This practice run can boost your and your dog’s confidence before your trip.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Port Huron home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
  • Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Port Huron.

Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

You and your Port Huron sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
