About: I've taken care of dogs at every stage of their lives; from walking to feeding to doggie play time to post-surgical care. Loving dogs is my heart's special joy. I'm retired so I am available any time your pet needs me. I am an early riser so I can get the dogs out for a walk before the heat of the day. There's always time for a butt scratch. :-) The most important thing to me is to find out how the client wants their pet cared for in their home and meet those needs. My goal is to have a happy, healthy dog when their parents come home.
About: I’ve spent years walking and caring for dogs of all personalities, and I’ve learned that the small things make the biggest difference. I start every walk with a calm check‑in so your dog feels comfortable, then I match their pace — shy dogs get patience, energetic dogs get movement, and barky small dogs get space and calm. I pay attention to details like how your dog reacts to sounds, which side they prefer to walk on, and what helps them settle into a rhythm. I follow your instructions closely and keep communication clear so you always know how your pup did. My goal is to give your dog a safe and enjoyable walk with someone who genuinely pays attention to what makes them feel at ease. I work part‑time, which gives me plenty of flexibility for walks throughout the week. I keep a steady routine, so fitting in pet care is easy for me When I’m in a client’s home, I come in quietly, follow your setup, and make sure your dog feels secure before we head out. On walks, I stay aware of what’s happening around us and choose routes that avoid unnecessary stress. My focus is on keeping your dog safe, comfortable, and confident from start to finish.

I am a very organized and tidy person which I can translate into your own home especially for pets who are not potty trained, I do not mind cleaning up after them! We all make mistakes! Because I have my own dogs, I do not feel comfortable having your lovely pets at my own home because of safety reasons but I can assure that I can care for your pets just as great in your home and make sure it is very tidy and clean when you come back!!
“Anissa came and walked my dog for a couple days and agreed to a meet and greet to discuss expectations beforehand. She was very professional and kind to me and my dog Freya. She asked about all sorts of habits and made sure to give my baby not only the exercise but lunch and refilled her water, she also sent pictures of the walk. Literally the best experience I could have hoped for. I will be booking her again! And I would recommend her.”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
