Abby did a great job with our dog Ritmo while we were on vacation. It was the first time we used this service and we couldn't have been more lucky. She took care of our baby like it was her own. If you are looking for someone responsible, trustworthy and loving to your pet Abby is highly recommended. Thank you

About: I have had pets since I was 11 years old, in fact, I was a dog and cat rescuer for many years. A true pet lover. Set your mind at ease by giving me a call so that you can leave with peace of mind that your pet will be taken care of with experience and knowledge. I currently work MWF from 9-12 PM. However, since this is only 3 hours, I am able to go back to my job as your pet sitter for the rest of the day. I would prefer to stay overnight and will feed, care and walk your pet(s) early in the morning and will return by noontime. I can also stay all weekend. I am very dependable and reliable. I lost my dog Lilli in 2021 and will get a much needed companion soon. Just a few years ago I rescued dogs and cats at the veterinary hospital that I worked with. I was the personal assistant/accountant for the hospital for over 20 years. I have learned about what types of medicine would be used for simple medical issues, what types of food for each type of nutritional need, condition and breed. I will take a pet first aid class to refresh my skills. I also have a sixth sense with animals if something is wrong or unusual. I will then contact you to make sure that you are aware as well. Good communication between the pet sitter and owner is very important. I will make sure there is fresh water always and a clean bowl. Exercise is important and play time to keep pets strong and healthy and preventing boredom. I also will keep up on medication with your instructions.

About: I’ve taken care of three dogs at one house and house sat. I’ve taken care of three other different breeds of dogs at one house and house sat. I’ve then let two different families bring their dogs here at different times and sat them for a month in the summer. Iva also went to a house and dog sat an old dog and a baby cat. For the summer, I’m free all the time! During the school year, I go to community college so after 1pm, I am almost always free, I can also wake up early to check in. I have a fenced house, with a large amount of land. As for your house, I will make sure your animals are always cared for and feel safe at home.

About: I’ve grown up with dogs in my home since I was 7 years old, and caring for them has always been a big part of my life. Today, I’m a proud dog mom to my 2 year old Goldendoodle, who is truly my soul dog and the best thing that has ever happened to me. Because of him, I understand how much love and trust pets need to feel safe and happy. Over the years, I have pet sat for many of my coworkers, family members, and friends, giving me experience with pets of all ages and personalities. Because I work three 12-hour shifts a week. I have several full days off during the week that I dedicate to pet care. On my days off, I’m usually home with my own Goldendoodle, which makes it easy for me to give other pets plenty of attention, walks, and playtime. I enjoy being active, so daily walks and exercise fit naturally into my routine, and I love having the flexibility to pet sit for families during weekdays, evenings, or weekends I’m not scheduled at the hospital. I respect your pet’s routine and space, keeping them comfortable and stress free. I love providing a safe space providing attentive care, follow instructions closely, and keep you updated.

About: My experience comes from owning not just dogs (XL-XS) and cats, but many animals in my lifetime. To me, living with these animals is the best way to gain experience. I have also done many house sitting jobs for people with lots of pets, and it’s something I genuinely enjoy doing. To me, the most important thing is establishing trust with your sitter, and I am a guaranteed safe person to trust any animal with. I’m great at reading animal body language and typically do well with all pets. I work at Panera, so my hours are not crazy, and never are usually longer than 4 hours, so pet sitting works great with my schedule. My college is also online so that doesn’t effect my schedule for the most part. In a clients home, it’s important to follow all of the instructions they provide, while also making their pets feel as if the owners never left.

About: I’ve cared for dogs of all ages and personalities and truly love spending time with animals. I’m a patient, dependable, and attentive caregiver who treats every pet like family. My dogs have always been a huge part of my life, including my sweet RayRay, who taught me so much about patience, love, and the special bond we share with our pets. I recently adopted my French Bulldog, Ichabod (“Iggy”), and I’m continuing to learn and understand each dog’s unique needs. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, medication (if needed), or lots of love and attention, I’ll make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. I know how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member, and I’ll care for them as if they were my own. I love being able to include pets in my daily routine. I plan my schedule around making sure they get the care, attention, and love they need. Whether it’s walks, playtime, meals, or just keeping them company, I enjoy spending time with animals and making sure they feel safe and comfortable while their family is away. Creating a safe and comfortable space for pets is very important to me. I know how much trust it takes to leave someone with your furry family member, and I take that responsibility seriously. I pay attention to the little things — their habits, boundaries, and what helps them feel relaxed. In my home or yours, I’ll treat your pet and your space with the same care and respect I would want for my own. I’ll follow your instructions closely and make sure your pet feels secure, cared for, and loved while you’re away.

About: I have spent a lot of time pet sitting family dogs, including powerful breeds like Pitbulls, Belgian Malinois, and German Shepherds. This hands-on experience taught me exactly how important structure and leash training are for a safe environment. Being a shorter person, I prefer to specialize in walking small dogs, medium dogs, or larger dogs who are already trained on the leash and calm when seeing others. Although I do have experience walking dogs who pull or get too excited, I want to ensure safety for your pet, myself, and others around me. However, if your larger pup is still working on their leash manners, I am more than happy to care for them entirely at home, focusing on indoor playtime, backyard fun, and tons of love! I am also a cat mom of 4 and love all types of cats. I currently have a flexible schedule. Whether your pup or kitten needs a last-minute check-in, a mid-day walk or your pet requires strict, timely medication schedules, I am around to help. When I am in your home, safety and respect for your space are my priorities. I treat your home with care, ensuring doors are securely locked, gates are latched, and your home is left exactly as I found it. I can follow strict instructions to ensure that your pet’s needs are met. I also love sending quick photo updates with every visit, so you have total peace of mind knowing your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for.

About: I’ve worked at a Dog daycare/ boarding facility for 3+ years where we groomed, bathed, gave meds, played with, and even snuggled the dogs. I have 4 German Shepherds of my own at home that I love dearly and 2 cats as well :). I am a big animal lover and think all animals deserve to be loved no matter what size or breed. I am very experienced with dogs and cats and will do my best to cater to your needs and make sure your fur baby is always happy with me :) I have a full time job where I’m able to pic my own schedules so whenever you need me to be available I can always make it work around my schedule no problem! I am very flexible!! To keep your pet comfortable in your home, I love making homemade allergy free dog treats (especially during the summer when it’s hot). If it’s my first time meeting your dog I will be sure to give him as much space/time needed to get used to me especially if they’re shy. I will stick closely to their daily routine, Consistency is a big thing. I will make sure to give the dog any attention but on their terms so they’re fully comfortable with me and pay close attention to their body language.

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is the level of personalized care and attention I give to every pet. I treat each dog like they're my own, making sure they feel safe, loved, and understood. I have experience with both energetic puppies who need structure and stimulation, as well as senior dogs who require a gentler touch and extra patience. I'm comfortable with administering medications, following specific routines, and reading body language to ensure your pet is happy and stress-free. Whether it's playtime, training, or just some good cuddle time, I adapt to what your dog needs most. I’m very flexible and I’ll always do my best to fit your needs in my schedule! I’m currently a full time deli clerk however with a 2 week notice I would happily be available to take care of your pups/home! I do not offer weekly services sorry! Whether I'm caring for pets in my home or yours, my priority is always creating a safe, comfortable, and loving environment. I stick closely to their normal routines-feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and bedtime-to help them feel secure and at ease. In your home, I make sure to respect your space while giving your pet my full attention and care. In my home, I keep things clean, cozy, and pet-friendly, with plenty of room to play and relax. I also send regular updates and photos, so you always know your pet is in good hands.

About: I've had dogs my entire life so I have experience with dogs of all ages. I currently have a dog and two cats, and I'm also trusted in my neighborhood and amongst family and friends as someone to watch their animals when they're gone. Im a full time college student but I usually always have my own animals in my bedroom with me, sitting under (or on top of) my desk while I work. I have a friendly dog who absolutely loves play dates, so your dog would never get bored. My backyard is quite large so the dogs have tons of room to run around and play. The fences are regularly checked for holes under them to ensure our dog can't get out. I also have two large cat cages in my home where each of my cats sleep, but if needed, they can sleep in the same cage and the other one can be used to provide your pet some privacy, with their own food and water dishes. I have many many many interactive cat toys so even while i'm working, they can play with the toys that are attached to my desk and walls, along with scratching posts.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Burnham. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Burnham.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

  • 92% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
