About: I’ve had dogs for as long as I can remember. I’m currently a dog sitter for my mom whenever she goes out of town. At most, I have taken care of 3 dogs and 2 cats at one time. I have a 6 month training in pet grooming where I learned how to read the signs of a scared or uncomfortable dog/cat, and will always respect their space when it comes to a stranger in their area! I’m currently working part time, so it’s easy for me to stop by and check on your pets! It’s more of a hobby for me than a way to make money. I love all pets! I will always make sure your dog or cat is comfortable with me. Whether that’s giving them the space they need, or making sure they received plenty of affection, or simply making sure they’re in the home!

About: Hi! I’m a former paramedic who is currently working helping my family run our small business. I’ve spent my whole life around dogs and cats and caring for animals (and people) has always been a part of who I am. I have experience with dogs of all ages, from newborn puppies to senior dogs, and I’m able to provide care tailored to each pet’s individual needs. I’m comfortable working with cats and dogs that may be shy, fearful, reactive, or considered less than friendly. I understand the importance of patience, reading body language, and creating a calm, safe environment so pets feel comfortable and secure. Whether your pet needs an energetic walking companion, gentle care, medication support, or simply someone they can trust while you’re away, I’ll treat them with the same attention and compassion that I give my own. I’m currently working with my family which allows me to have an extremely flexible and open schedule. Generally available from 8:30a.m-11p.m 7 days a week Long walks and backyard or park playtime. I am comfortable caring for pets with special medical and physical needs. I can provide basic grooming if needed for pets that will allow.
“Becky did an absolutely amazing job taking care of our two dogs and two cats! From the moment we met her, we knew our pets were in good hands. She was not only professional but also incredibly caring and loving towards our fur babies. Becky accommodated our schedule without hesitation and made the whole experience stress-free. Our pets were happy, well-cared for, and clearly loved during her time with them. We couldn't have asked for a better pet sitter and will definitely be booking with Becky again in the future!”

“Linda really went above and beyond with our dog when she wasn't feeling well. Not only did she clean up after her but stayed longer to make sure she was okay. Thank you.”

“Krystal did a fabulous job taking care of our high energy, nervous dog. She got her to eat and outside with any issues. We will definitely have her dog sit for us again. Thanks Krystal!!”

“I could tell once I came home my dogs (2 big 65 lbs boys) were super happy and relaxed after Ernest's visits. He is great with communication and I feel has proven to be very dependable. You can see he loves dogs and dogs love him. I look forward to working with him again in the future.”

About: As a Certified Master Dog Trainer, caring for dogs is more than just a job—it’s what I do every day. I have experience with dogs of all ages and personalities, from energetic puppies to senior dogs who need a little extra patience and care. I also own a German shepherd and a Belgian Malinois who both are high-energy dogs, so I’m very comfortable handling active breeds and making sure they get the physical and mental enrichment they need while staying safe and having fun. I’m available Monday through Friday with flexible daytime and afternoon scheduling. If you have a specific time in mind, feel free to reach out and I’ll do my best to accommodate your schedule. I know trusting someone with your pet and your home is a big deal, and I don’t take that lightly. I’ll follow your pet’s routine, respect your home, and make sure your furry family member is safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you know how your pet is doing while you’re away.
“Elizabeth is great with our dogs! They are always happy to see her! She is on-time and communicates quickly about any issues or concerns. We have booked her twice and will again!”

About: Hi! We're Michael and Ruby, and we'd love the opportunity to care for your furry family member. As dog owners ourselves, we know how stressful it can be to leave your pet behind. That's why we provide the same love, patience, and attention we'd want for our own dogs. Our goal is for every pup to feel safe, happy, and right at home while you're away. Our family includes our two friendly, neutered dogs—Einstein ("Ein"), our fun-loving Corgi, and Maximus ("Max"), our sweet Terrier/Chihuahua mix. They enjoy making new friends and help create a welcoming, family atmosphere. Why Families Choose Us 🐾 One family's pets at a time for personalized attention 🏡 Safe, fully fenced backyard for supervised play 🚶 Daily walks, playtime, and enrichment 🛋️ Dogs are welcome on the couch for snuggles (if that's what they're used to!) 💊 Experienced with administering medications 📸 Plenty of photo and video updates throughout every stay 🐶 Puppies welcome 🚽 Potty-training reinforcement ❤️ Calm, loving home where your dog is treated like family—not just boarded I am home during the day, so your pup receives lots of companionship and supervision. “I can’t say enough good things about Mahaila. From our very first meet and greet, it was clear how much she genuinely loves animals—my girls warmed up to her right away, which never happens! She was attentive, patient, and incredibly thoughtful every step of the way. While I was away, she kept in consistent contact, sending updates and the cutest pictures—my dogs looked so happy and relaxed, which gave me such peace of mind. It’s hard to trust someone else with your pets, but Mahaila made it easy. I’ve never felt more confident leaving them in someone else’s care. She’s officially our go-to now, and I’m so grateful we found her!”

About: If you want to get away for that well deserved vacation or just a 3 day weekend and feel secure in knowing that your fur babies are being lovingly cared for, then I’m just who you’re looking for! I have loved dogs (and most animals) my whole life. I think of them as a family member, not as a pet. I will remain calm around your loved one as not to cause any anxiety. Even though I don’t have a dog at this time, I have had many dogs throughout my life. I can hardly remember a time that I didn’t have one. My best friend (a Boxer named CC) had quite a few medical problems from 2010 through 2015 and I had to give her an average of 17 pills a day. (Sometimes less). So I’m pretty experienced as far as that goes. My schedule is very flexible and I am very reliable. I am flexible about allowing your pet on furniture. If that’s not allowed I will follow your wishes 100%.

Absolutely the best, kindest, and loving caretakers we have had. They saved our vacation for us by taking on the job when our sitter quit without notice until I called her Wednesday night and we were to leave on Friday morning. They happily accepted and we got to leave as scheduled. Highly recommend Dennis and Rover.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Silver Lake. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
