“Emma did an AWESOME job! She kept us updated with pictures and our cat who never trusts anyone was totally content and happy with Emma and hung out with her all weekend. One of our dogs has to take medication and Emma was very professional and had all the medical stuff under control. Emma did a fantastic job and we will absolutely ask her to watch our two dogs and cat again!”

“Kristin is an amazing pet sitter. She has a high attention to detail and will make sure your pets receive the best care possible. She will do “the dirty work” because let’s face it, animals are gross and make big messes sometimes but she will take care of it because she understands. We love Kristin and will use her services again!! Thank you Kristin!!”

About: I’ve worked with dogs and cats in many different ways. I have owned dogs my entire life, plus a few cats. I volunteer at the Humane Society in Kansas City while at school where I work directly with the shelter dogs. I have house sat for multiple family friends and am ready to take on new pups and cats! I am currently home from school for the summer so am looking to fill the time. I work part time as a server a few times a week. During the day I often just workout, read a book, or hang with my own dogs. I have fostered a dog before and can adjust well to your dogs needs. I’ve practiced crate training, furniture restrictions, and other small training tasks. My house has an open yard which my dogs are free to run around in when they are not on leash to go potty.
“Naomi did a great job taking care of our dogs and home. She gave the geriatric dog all of her medication and plenty of short walks. She gave a lot of attention to the younger dog: snuggles, walks, and belly rubs. She sent a lot of fun photos. We felt very comfortable leaving the dogs and home in her capable hands.”

“Leann did a fantastic job caring for our 2 dogs, one of which we adopted just 3 days before our trip and she was more than willing to take on a second dog! She helped him acclimate to our home and other dog and even taught him how to sit for us! She kept us updated with lots of videos and pictures and our house was very tidy when we came home. Would definitely recommend!”

“Alicja came in clutch at the last minute for us! She sent pictures and videos every day of our dog thriving in her care. She took special time to do enrichment and training. We will turn to her for our dog and house sitting needs going forward! She definitely gave us peace of mind knowing our loved one was being cared for as if it were us!”

“Kaitlin did a great job taking care of our dogs while we were away. She communicated well and was on time with the house sitting commitments. Thanks again & definitely recommend to others.”

“Lisa did a great job with our shy kitty and even thought of things I didn't think to ask her (like leaving a kitchen lamp and the radio on for the cat, since we were getting home after dark from our trip). She left everything in great shape, ran the dishwasher etc., sent us pics of our kitty and was responsive to messages. Thanks Lisa!!”

“Christine is a great caregiver! My dog & cats were given excellent care. She stayed a week and kept in touch so I knew how they were all doing. I came home to very happy, relaxed pets because Christine was so good to them. She fed, walked, administered medication and even cleaned up after them.”

“Grace is an amazing pet sitter. She has a calm, go-with-the-flow energy and was really great with my cats. I was anxious about leaving them, as this was my first trip since they both started medication. Grace provided me with a lot of reassurance and sent me pictures and updates of my cats throughout my trip. I will 100% be booking with Grace again.”

About: What sets me apart is the level of care, attention, and communication I provide to every pet I watch. As the owner of two French Bulldogs who require medications and specialized care, I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pets and follow routines exactly as instructed. I pay close attention to details, follow care instructions to the letter, and genuinely treat every pet like they’re part of my family. Friends and family constantly joke that in their next life they want to come back as one of my dogs because of how loved and spoiled they are. I also have a close personal friend who is a vet tech available to me anytime for added peace of mind, allowing me to provide an extra layer of attentiveness and support while caring for your pets. Pets are a huge part of my daily life and routine, and honestly, I couldn’t imagine life without them. My dogs aren’t just pets to me they’re family, companions, and the best part of my day besides my wife. My routine naturally revolves around making sure they’re happy, healthy, comfortable, and loved, from walks and playtime to cuddles and maintaining consistent schedules. I work remotely, which makes scheduling flexible and allows me to provide dependable care, consistent attention, and timely visits throughout the day. I genuinely enjoy being around animals and giving them affection, companionship, and one-on-one attention, which is why caring for pets feels so natural to me. I truly believe dogs are some of the best humans we’ll ever meet, and every pet I care for will be treated with the same patience, love, and attention I give my own. I provide attentive, loving care for pets in the comfort of their own home, where they feel safest and most relaxed. As the owner of two French Bulldogs who require medications and specialized care, I understand how important routines, patience, and attention to detail are when caring for someone’s pets. I follow all instructions exactly as provided, from feeding schedules and medications to walks, playtime, and household routines, ensuring your pets experience as little disruption as possible while you’re away. I treat every pet like family, giving them plenty of affection, supervision, and one-on-one attention — which is why friends and family often joke that in their next life they want to come back as one of my dogs. You’ll also receive regular photo and video updates for peace of mind, and I have a close personal friend who is a vet tech available anytime should I ever need additional guidance or support while caring for your pets.

My schedule is flexible, which allows me to help others with their pet care needs. I’m happy to come to your home and help with any pet care needs. I currently rent, so unfortunately I’m not able to have animals at my home.
About: I have been a pet sitter since I was 14 years old. I love taking cares of other peoples animals and truly enjoy every second. I have a flexible full time job and I am looking for occasional jobs to spend time with some pets and make a little extra cash! I carefully follow the owners instructions always to ensure that everyone is comfortable with the care I am providing. I will also ask any questions to make sure of this.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Siegel
Julie was phenomenal! She communicated and sent me adorable photos of our boys while we were away. Super low stress and I felt very comfortable leaving my pets in her care. I will absolutely be booking Julie again. She’s our new go to pet sitter. Highly recommend.

Check is does an awesome job! She has dog sat our two dogs twice. They absolutely love her and were so excited to see her when she came back a second time. She followed all our instructions carefully and was a delight to work with. Thank you Chris, from Stormy and Croix

We had a wonderful 10 trip to Canada and we didn't worry about our two dogs because Olivia was there to care for them. She sent us pictures and a cute video of our furbabies. We felt even more comfortable when we learned that Olivia is in college, studying to be a trainer of service dogs - that has to be someone who LOVES dogs. We have no travel plans at the moment, but we'll be sure to contact Olivia if and when we do.

FAQs for House Sitting - Siegel
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of June 2026, there are 3,100 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Siegel. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Siegel walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Siegel maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Siegel choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Siegel. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
