Indoors, I spend time on play and companionship — not just the basic tasks — since many pets get anxious or lonely when their owner is gone, and a little extra attention goes a long way. I'm also mindful of the home itself: I make sure doors and gates are secured, clean up any messes right away, and leave the space as tidy as I found it. If I notice anything unusual — a change in appetite, behavior, or a health concern — I contact the owner right away and document it, along with photos or notes if needed. Before and after each visit, I send updates to the owner so they know their pet is safe, fed, and happy, which also gives them peace of mind while they're away.
