Kristin is a great choice for a dog walker. She is nice and very trustworthy. I feel completely safe with her combining my home when I’m at work and she takes great care of my dogs. She brought them treats and takes great photos of them while she’s here to show me that they are taken care of. I’m so glad that I found her on here.

As a repeat client, I absolutely recommend Stacy to watch over their little loved ones! She always goes above and beyond to ensure our cat is taken care of and is vigilant when she drops in. She's brought in packages for us and cleans up nicely. And our cat absolutely adores her!

About: I grew up with not just dogs and cats but birds and lizards, I’ve always loved being around animals and learning their personalities and what they like. I truly believe all animals deserve the same love and care as any loved one. I look forward to meeting your furry babies! I am currently unemployed as I just moved so I am free anytime that you may need someone! I also can do last minute request most the time At the moment I am in an apartment with cats so I don’t have space or a yard to watch dogs in my own home for now, but in your home I respect your space and your animals. I follow every direction given and always do exactly what’s expected. I take dogs on multiple walks during the day and always let them get their energy out by playing. I grew up with many brothers so I have a lot of energy to give right back! I can also do some cleaning while dog sitting like dishes, counter wipe offs ect.

About: My wife and I have grown up loving dogs and have always had a special connection with animals in general! I grew up with two small dogs, and my wife had two big dogs, we love them more than anything. We honestly can't imagine life without them. Caring for them has given us so much experience understanding the needs, personalities and routines of different dogs. Our experiences as dog owners has taught us the importance of patience, consistency, and making sure pets feel safe, comfortable and loved while their owners are away! I'm currently self employed, and work from home! I make my own schedule so I have plenty of time to spend with your animals. Your pets safety and comfort are my top priority. I know how important it is to trust someone with your animals! I will always take the time to learn your pets routine, personality and individual needs so that they feel comfortable and secure while you're away.

About: My family owned many animals at the same time, we had 3 dogs and 2 cats. I would help take them out to play and go for walks even if they were a little mean. I would help feed the animals the right amount a food for each dog and cat and refill their water so I am very familiar with basic sitting My schedule is given to me weekly for my main job but I mostly work the evenings so you can expect me for mornings unless they decide to make me work the morning but I ask for a week in advance schedule (before Sunday) so I can have my boss give me a schedule that works for you:) I care for all animals as if they were priceless creatures and they should always be treated with respect and modesty, and I try keep the animal comfortable

About: Hi, I’m Ariyana! Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I was raised around both dogs and cats, and caring for them isn’t just something I do—it’s something I genuinely love. Every pet deserves to feel safe, loved, and comfortable, and I treat every animal in my care as if they were my own. One thing that sets me apart is my experience with pets of all ages. I enjoy working with puppies and kittens, helping reinforce good manners, basic obedience, potty training, leash skills, and positive routines. I understand that young pets require patience, consistency, and lots of encouragement, and I love being part of their learning process. I also have extensive experience caring for senior pets. I’m comfortable with slower walks, administering medications (if needed), accommodating mobility limitations, following special feeding schedules, and giving older pets the extra patience, gentleness, and attention they deserve. I know how important it is to keep their routine consistent and stress-free. Whether your pet is energetic and playful or calm and cuddly, I’ll tailor my care to their individual personality and needs. I’ll make sure they receive plenty of exercise, enrichment, affection, and one-on-one attention while you’re away. Communication is incredibly important to me. I’ll keep you updated with photos, videos, and messages so you always know how your furry family member is doing. My goal is for you to have complete peace of mind, knowing your pet is safe, happy, and genuinely cared for. I understand that trusting someone with your pet is a big decision, and I don’t take that responsibility lightly. I strive to build lasting relationships with both pets and their owners by being dependable, attentive, and treating every animal like family. I can’t wait to meet you and your best friend! Although I work full-time, I make pet care a priority in my daily routine. I carefully manage my schedule to ensure every pet receives the time, attention, exercise, and affection they deserve. Whether it’s morning visits, evening care, overnight stays, or weekend availability, I’m committed to providing reliable, high-quality care. When your pet is with me, they’ll never feel like just another appointment—they’ll be treated like family. When caring for pets in your home, I know how important it is to keep their routine as normal as possible. I’ll follow your instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, playtime, potty breaks, and any special care your pet needs. I also make sure your pet receives plenty of love, attention, and companionship while you’re away. I’ll respect your home as if it were my own by keeping everything clean, secure, and tidy. You’ll receive regular photo and video updates so you can relax knowing your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for. My goal is to provide dependable, stress-free care while making your pet feel comfortable in the place they know best.

About: Animals have been a huge part of my life since I was young—I love critters of all kinds and I am willing to learn how to care for any animal who needs a companion. Dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, rats, fish, you name it! I have owned pets of my own since I was about 10—fish, hamsters, cats, even ant colonies and pillbugs—and I began to petsit for neighbors as a teenager. I'm generally capable of regular house visits, keeping a punctual schedule, engaging in play & enrichment any way I can, bathing animals of any size, and adapting to the needs of any animal in my care. I am not able to consistently walk very high-energy dogs, but if you have an enclosed yard I'm more than happy to let your pet(s) get his or her energy out there. I'm great with low-energy animals who need a cuddle buddy or somebody to simply share a space with. I'm willing to do overnights, week+ long stays, and jobs with multiple pets. My schedule is very flexible to the needs of your pets, but I do have animals of my own to care for at home. I typically do not like to leave clients' pets alone for more than 4 hours at a time during the day, so you can expect regular visits within that time frame. I like to have lots of options for play & exercise with your pet. I don't take pets home, but I'm happy to supervise your pet in a fenced yard or a nearby park! I enjoy snuggles & handling small enclosure pets like rodents, and I'm willing to learn how to provide enrichment for any animal. I'm very strict about sticking to a feeding schedule, but I do like to give plenty of treats throughout the day if health allows. I try to keep clean as much as possible—bathing pets, regularly vacuuming/mopping, emptying litter, brushing fur and teeth, etc.

About: Hi I'm Jeanette. I've owned and cared for animals my entire life. I've taken care of many animals for friends and family over the years. I've owned many different kinds of animals from dogs and cats to birds, reptiles and everything in between. I currently have 2 dogs and 2 cats that keep me busy. I've work with animals for the past 18 years. I worked at a vet clinic where I got to take care of many different types of animals. I've also been a dog groomer for the last 18 years. If they are happy then I'm happy. Hope to hear from you soon. I'm currently not working at the moment so my schedule is pretty open to anything right now. Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Shasta Lake. On Rover:

  • 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
