Amber was a great help with our 2 dogs. She was very accommodating and even was able to be flexible with times the one day as we needed to move the original request. Thank you Amber for taking good care of Dewey and Harper.

About: Pets are family, and they deserve to be treated like family. I have doggy sat for a family friend for 3yrs, Zoe, and Zarley. They go out 4 to 5 times a day, they get treats for going boo boo outside. We run around the apartment and play as much as my bones will let me. I am able to brush the furbabies every day, and multiple times a day if needed. I do talk to them like they can answer me…..😂😂. Animals understand more than we think they do. I love animals so much. I wish I could get one for me. But at this time, I am unable to afford one. I will not get any animal that I know I can’t pay for what they need. I was working up until 09/2025. I got hurt at work, and I’m unable to return. I am available 24/7 now. I have plenty of time to give ALL of my time to furbabies now. I have a full time job working midnights. I get off at 7am, but don’t usually go to sleep till around 10am. I do not work Friday nights. My part time job is just Mon., we’d., and Fri, from 9am to 1pm. I have every other weekend off. I always put fur babies first in my home. I play with them as often as I can. They are allowed on the furniture and bed. No matter what I am doing, I will stop to take them out, or play with them. I DO NOT give for babies ppl food, their little digestive system mite not be able to handle it. If there is something extra that you say they need, and you don’t have, I will buy it for them. I remove any and everything off the floors, so they cannot get in it. If there is a special diet that they have, I will just need written instructions on how to prepare it.

About: hi!! i’m paige & i treat every pet like they’re my own 🤍 i’ve cared for dogs of all sizes & personalities and i honestly love getting to know each one. whether they’re super high energy, a rescue, or more of a chill senior, i make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. i know how hard it can be leaving your pet, so i always send regular updates + pics so you don’t have to worry or wonder how they’re doing. people always tell me how relaxed their pets are with me and how much peace of mind they have, which means everything to me. i’m also really respectful of your home & always try to leave things just as clean (or better) than i found them. i tend to go a little above and beyond because that’s just how i am. my goal is simple: happy pets & stress-free owners :) this is my full time job so i’m pretty flexible and update my availability on here daily! i have two dogs and two cats at home and am familiar with daily care for them. i do whatever is necessary by your standards to make sure they have the most accurate experience just as if mom and dad were home with them!

About: Hi! I’m Cass. I have been a life long animal lover. I was often the child bringing home every stray cat and dog I found. When I became a Mom and my youngest son begged us to get a dog, I was so happy. We added Rocky to our family 12 years ago and he’s been my companion ever since. We also have two cats Domino and Luna to complete our family zoo! We’d love to have new furry friends and visitors to come on our family adventures and to play with. I work from home so I am available all day for pet care needs to be able to frequently feed and bathroom breaks along with some outdoor time I have a somewhat private back yard and I will be outside with your pet at all times while they get outdoor time and use the bathroom or I am able to go to your home and walk them in their environment. I also have a nice neighborhood block area that I am able to take breaks and walk your pet.

About: Since I was a child, people would bring strays or unbalanced animals to our house who would suddenly be calm and comfortable in my care. I spent a lot of time in nature and wild animals would often follow me home. I now have my Masters of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis and wrote an original thesis on clicker training for service dogs. I am on the Board and a trainer for Hero Puppies for Life where we train service dogs for heroes with PTSD. We use positive reinforcement and are focused around relational bond training. This sets the dogs up for success to support their humans. We also teach their humans how to understand their dog's instincts and communication. I am quite passionate about it. :) Leo is my 7 year old black lab and personal service dog so your fur family will have free socialization and canine therapy in addition to my human care. He has worked with me extensively as a focal point in my approach to providing applied behavior analysis therapy to children and dogs. I trust our working relationship more than anyone on two legs. ;) Please feel free to ask me any questions about this dynamic! I am currently a full time student in an online, fully remote, tech program so I am very flexible when it comes to location, time of day, and duration for care. From the time I was in college, I always loved pet and house sitting. Opportunities for a change of scenery, in a fresh space, and caring for fur friends is always a treat. The care completely depends on the needs of the animals and home. I have administered meds, cared for young and old pets, implemented training, embraced snuggles, and fulfilled food orders that make meals look like a sundae.

About: I’ve spent the past several years working hands-on as a veterinary assistant and dog trainer, and I truly love what I do. In the clinic, I’ve helped care for pets of all ages and temperaments, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for during what can sometimes be stressful visits. As a trainer, I focus on building trust and clear communication between dogs and their owners, using patience and positive reinforcement to create lasting results. Whether I’m assisting in medical care or helping shape better behavior, my goal is always the same—happy, healthy pets and confident, informed owners who feel supported every step of the way. I’m currently working part time and home with my children 4 days a week and when I’m at my part time job I’m only there till 12pm. So I will have lots of time to spoil your fur babies with all the love and attention! I have worked in the veterinary field for over 7 years and currently working as a dog trainer part time your pets will always be properly taken care of and looked after with lots of play time and walks! If boarded in my home if I am not with them I would have them in a crate for rest times if not crate trained we can figure something out always open to help your pets feel the comfort of home away from home!

About: Hello! My name is Tabatha Garman, I am the sole owner and operator of Special Paws Pet Care and a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT). As a veterinary technician, I play the nurse role of the veterinary team. I graduated from Kent State University with my Associate's degree in Veterinary Technology in May of 2021 and am currently pursuing my Bachelor's of Integrated Studies focused in animal behavior. While in school for my technician license, I gained various hands-on skills with a variety of animals, from dogs and cats to birds, horses, snakes, and much more. Outside of school, I have trained at numerous veterinary hospitals and gained vital experience in CPR and emergency response. My personal experience caring for animals expands far beyond my education and career, as I have cared for my own, family's, and friend's pets my entire life. As previously mentioned, I have a vast range of experience with different species from small pocket pets and reptiles to large and farm animals. I love working with nearly any species, especially pigs and cows! My medication administration skills are just as vast, including giving various types of injections and fluids, oral pill and liquid administration, topical applications, etc. Any pets with special needs are assured to be taken care of! Specializing in animal behavior, those with unique personalities or who are a bit grumpy or naturally prefer alone time are some of my favorite to work with. I love working to understand them and win them over and am happy to try to work with any type of disposition or behavioral challenges. No job is too big or small. Whether you have a pet that needs daily medication, help getting around, and extra special care, or just want to feel comforted knowing that your furry family member is in great hands, I am happy to care for any and all of them. I am currently dedicating my time to in-home pet care while going to school full-time online, so I am free to fit your pet into my schedule however you may need. While I do personalize my schedule to fit your pet specifically, my typical day is scheduled like this and changed as needed, just to give you a better idea of your pet's time with me: When I arrive, I always spend time making sure your pet is happy, comfortable, and has everything they need. When staying with them overnight, I will keep them company until morning, make sure they have everything they need and get some pets or playtime in, then I will leave as needed to tend to any other appointments, making sure to return to check-in and spend time with them at minimum every 3-4 hours, unless more frequently is needed. Whether you just need a daily check in and play time for your cat while you're away, or if you need someone to take your pup out every couple of hours along with walks and lots of play time, or even if you have an older pup who can't really spend time alone at all, we can definitely make a plan to suit your family purrr-fectly. Your pet's safety is always my top priority. Whether at home, in the car, at the vet, out for a walk, or at the park, I am always extremely diligent to make sure your pet stays safe and sound. I always use doggy seatbelts or enclosures when driving, reflective strips and flashlights at night, ramps and manual assistance for mobility-challenged pups, predator-deterrent to protect them from harm, and vet-approved chews or boredom busters to make sure your pup is happier and healthier when you arrive back home. Out of an abundance of caution, I typically do not have pets I'm watching interact with other pets I'm unfamiliar with (ie: no communal dog parks). In the case that anything does happen while I am with them, I am trained on the safest and most effective way to stop a dog fight, as well as being trained in CPR, emergency triage and response, and homeostatic stabilization. I also always have a list of the nearest emergency hospitals on hand should they ever be needed. I strive to follow all pet-parent's wants and needs for their pets, including whatever training or rules you may have for your pet while they are in my care (crating, treats, toys, etc). If there are any additional safety measures you would like to discuss, just let me know!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
