With my gentle giant, Sunny, we provide a safe, healthy, fun “home away from home” for your dog or cat. Due to his mellow, peaceful nature, Sunny is an especially apt playmate and partner for young puppies, first-time boarders, seniors, and cats. I’m also available to brush out and feed your horses while you’re out of town. I work remotely, and am fully available to care for your dog and/or cat. I can accommodate early risers (starting from 6am) to late bloomers (your pup can sleep in until 10am!). Every weekend, I take Sunny and any visiting pups to the Salisbury Community Dog Park in CT. I live in a spacious, clean three-story home in Amenia. Your pup or cat is welcome to the couch. I rarely watch TV, so the space is nice and quiet. We have a spacious (unfenced) backyard, so I’m happy to walk dogs out there, but never without a leash. For any first-time cat visitors who might be a bit timid, I have a quiet guest bedroom with a comfy bed — he or she can call it their private room as they acclimate to their new surroundings. 👑😊

About: Ever since I was young, I have had a strong love for animals, especially dogs. I grew up surrounded by dogs and currently have two of my own. Over the years, I have pet-sat for neighbors and friends, and I always enjoy caring for and spending time with their pets. At college I am part of a club where we work with and volunteer at the local animal shelters. There are photos on my profile that highlight some of the events on campus I have volunteered at to raise money for the puppies at the local animal shelter. I do also have experience with horses. I have a lot of freedom while my children are at school between 7-3 and after 4:30 when my husband returns home from work. We have a very sweet miniature Dachshund who LOVES playing with other dogs. I do not have a fenced in yard and will take your pup for walks to ensure he/she is getting exercise. Our Dachshund can play with your dog inside, and can either accompany your dog on a walk or can stay behind while I walk your pup.

About: I have had dogs my whole life but 2 of my dogs gave birth to 11 puppies in October of 2022 and I helped take care of them all until they were ready to go to their new homes. I kept one of the puppies and have taken care of her since she was a newborn so I am very familiar around all types of dogs. About: Hello there! My name is Derek and I love dogs. When I was young, I wasn’t allowed to have a dog. So I made sure I learned everything I could about them so I was everyone’s “go-to guy” for dog sitting. I’m even known a bit in my town as the “dog whisperer”, seeing as Im able to befriend every dog I meet. Im now the proud papa of a red pitbull and I love her more than I thought possible. About: I have alot of experience with horse sized dogs and little obes alike, its important to me that they get the love they miss from their owners. Im currently going to school partime and learning the area so i have tons of time to go for walks or play with your fur baby and keep up their schedule. I want to make sure both of our spaces are respected, i like to keep places as nice as i left them so i try to take an hour to spot clean anywhere ive been or where your pet may have made a mess and leave it tidy.
