With my gentle giant, Sunny, we provide a safe, healthy, fun “home away from home” for your dog or cat. Due to his mellow, peaceful nature, Sunny is an especially apt playmate and partner for young puppies, first-time boarders, seniors, and cats. I’m also available to brush out and feed your horses while you’re out of town. I work remotely, and am fully available to care for your dog and/or cat. I can accommodate early risers (starting from 6am) to late bloomers (your pup can sleep in until 10am!). Every weekend, I take Sunny and any visiting pups to the Salisbury Community Dog Park in CT. I live in a spacious, clean three-story home in Amenia. Your pup or cat is welcome to the couch. I rarely watch TV, so the space is nice and quiet. We have a spacious (unfenced) backyard, so I’m happy to walk dogs out there, but never without a leash. For any first-time cat visitors who might be a bit timid, I have a quiet guest bedroom with a comfy bed — he or she can call it their private room as they acclimate to their new surroundings. 👑😊

I’ve been pet sitting for over 15 years and animals have always been a huge part of my life. I’m one of those people who naturally gravitates toward dogs wherever I go. I also have six dogs of my own (including large breeds), so managing different personalities, routines, and energy levels is something I’m very comfortable with. These days I focus on in-home pet sitting, because most pets are happiest staying in their own space and keeping their normal routine. I know how hard it can be to leave your animals when you travel, so my goal is always to make it feel like they’re just hanging out with a friend who loves dogs as much as you do. About: 5 years ago I walked into the Humane Society with the intention of fostering a pup and walked out with a sweet older greyhound mix named Chylin! She was in the waiting room with her owner who was trying to surrender her. Unexpectedly, I ended up taking her home. I never thought I’d have a dog of my own, but I have been so lucky and grateful to have her in my life. I see Chylin as an extension of myself. I trust her and give her as much freedom as possible. We love walking trails together and exploring the local nature, both on our feet and during car rides, head out the window. I bathe her regularly, brush her teeth weekly and keep her nails trimmed. My couch and my bed are hers to enjoy. This is the same attitude I will have with your pet! But I will be sure to respect and follow in the ways you love and care for them. So that they feel comfortable, happy and at home, even while you are away. :) To accommodate our other bookings I ask that pickup for boarding clients is at 11am. If your pick up time is past 11am I charge a daycare rate which we will edit onto your Rover booking for your approval. I have a Rover home, through and through. I work from home full time so I are able to completely cater to your fur baby's needs and safety. I have one sweet older rescue pup and do not take more than 4 clients at a time. I live in a cozy home by the beach with a fenced yard. There are toys throughout the house, dog beds, and covered furniture for your pet to enjoy and lay out freely and comfortably. If needed, I am able to separate each pup into their own spacious section of the home. If I need to leave the house for a short time, pups are separated to ensure safety.

About: I been taking care of dogs for a couple of years now. I grew up with many different animals and grew a passion to help any animal I could. I’m home full time and have a big fenced yard. When I board dog we spent a lot of time in the yard play fetch or just relaxing it’s up to what they want to do. There’s always a clean blow of water for them to keep hydrated . We also go one walks to a big park that’s all grass next to the water. When I board the dogs that stays with me becomes apart of my family and they get the care and love they need while they’re here.
