“Lupita is my new hero! My sitter fell through last minute and I contacted Lupita on Dec. 29 about watching my cat Dec. 31-Jan. 2- a tall order. She not only responded immediately, but came over that evening in a torrential downpour for a meet-and-greet. Violet took to her right away and I was able to go out of town without worrying. Lupita send daily updates/correspondence and I came home to a happy cat and clean house (I have yet to ever find another sitter who actually does a decent job cleaning the litter box and cleaning up scattered litter). I'll definitely hire Lupita again and highly recommend her!”

“Adrie was great. She clearly gave my little fuzzy four-on-the-floor some good love and attention when I was gone. I got updates and images on every visit. And I could see my Minka-Bean felt safe and comfortable around her. I definitely recommend Adrie.”

“Dylan has watched Zephyr for me a handful of times now and he always gives me photos/updates. He is on time to get to my house, walks my pup, makes sure he goes potty, and plays with him. Definitely would hire Dylan again.”

“Hannah is great with Okami and always reliable, her and Okami get along great”

“Lizzie is super responsive and responsible. She coaxed our shy kitty out and they became besties. Would definitely book again!”

“Jade did everything by the book. Kitties were happy and healthy when we got home and the house was in order. It was nice to get pics every day. Stress free cat sitting!”

“Jennifer was amazing with our cat Maca! From the start, she was super sweet and easy to communicate with. She went above and beyond every day — sending us updates, photos, and making sure Maca was happy and taken care of. It was such a relief knowing our kitty was in good hands while we were away. Maca is a shy cat with new people and we really appreciated Jennifer’s patience in making her feel comfortable and gaining her trust while we were gone. We would 100% book again with Jennifer and highly recommend!”

“Melanie did some drop-in visits with our cat. She was excellent and I highly recommend. It was our first scheduling and she made time on short notice to do a meet and greet before a holiday weekend. She sent great updates and photos each day. All around very professional and will be scheduling again in the future”

“Lisa was lovely! Offered to swing by before my trip to meet the cats and get acquainted which was super comforting. She provided detailed updates each time she checked in that really gave me peace of mind. I would absolutely recommend her to someone else and would love to work with her again later!”

About: I worked as a full-time dog walker with a small company in San Francisco for 5+ years and am looking to expand my love for animals to Santa Cruz! I was trusted with the keys/codes to hundreds of families homes and, driving in a panel van, picked up around 8-13 dogs at a time to bring them to an off leash dog park for hour long walks. I have worked with all kinds of dogs; puppies, senior dogs, and dogs who require extra care. Eg. Separation anxiety, difficult leash/socialization manors, and dogs with special needs/diets. I would absolutely love to take care of your good boys/girls, so long as you don't mind the excessive photos I may take/send while they're under my watch! 😉 Any Weekday or weekends, Anytime! I recently relocated to Santa Cruz so at this moment in time I have nearly full availability! I would prefer to keep walks between 10am-8pm, but very flexible. I have 7+ years of experience in dog care, including working at a boarding facility with 20+ dogs at a time, so I am very confident and capable of making snap decisions under pressure if/when necessary. Also more than happy to help with any basic training/ recall training needed!

About: I’m an experienced pet owner and have cared for my own dog for 13 years now. Along with dogs I have owned/cared for cats, rats, and lizards. When I was younger I worked on a farm and developed a deep love for animals. I live a very active lifestyle and would be stoked to take your pet out for walks, runs, hikes, and beach day swimming! I have a large vehicle which has easy transportation for bigger dogs. I take the time to establish a genuine connection with your pet and want to foster a bond built on mutual understanding and respect. Having trust from you and your pet is an important relationship to have. I want you to be sure that your furry loved one and your home is being taken care of in the safest and best way possible for you. I am a full time worker and van-lifer. My home is on wheels which makes it easy to move around to meet your home sitting needs. My normal work week is Monday-Friday in Capitola. I’m not able to host animals in my home. Coming to your home is the best option, and making your pet feel safe and comfortable is #1!

“Sendy was super communicative and thoughtful, looking forward to booking her for more visits!”

About: I took care of dogs since I was 8. My family taught me how to make sure the dogs are fed, given water, administering oral medications, walking; etc. I also house trained my current dog. I’m currently working part-time so I’ll have plenary of free time on my plate. I usually work in the evenings. Sometimes I get called to work when needed I take my dog out for 30-45 minute walk twice a day, gave her chew brush biscuit after each walking sessions. I checked her bowl once or twice a day to ensure her water and foods are there for her to eat. I also brush Claire’s hair once a day.

About: I grew up with 2-3 cats in my home, began cat sitting for neighbors as a young teen, and knew that I wanted to adopt my own as soon as I lived off campus at BU. (I now have two cats of my own!) I identify as a self-proclaimed cat whisperer, and love when a less friendly cat comes out of its shell with me. I have experience giving medication to cats, and experience helping raise cats from 6 weeks old. I worked at a doggy daycare in NYC helping care for dogs of all sizes and ages, and feel comfortable and confident around animals of a variety of temperaments. I'm a freelance actor, and have a remote marketing job, which allows me to have a very flexible schedule for my own pets and those I help care for. I have two cats of my own, so can only care for pets in your/their home. I'm respectful of your environment, and make sure to earn trust from the animal before moving onto bigger activities (walks, playing, etc)

“Shylynn did a great job taking care of my cat Sofi while I was away. She sent a lot of pictures and great updates. I will definitely be reaching out again when I have to travel.”

About: Caring for pets has always been more than just a job for me—it's a passion. Over the years, I’ve gained hands-on experience with dogs of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. From playful puppies learning their first commands to senior dogs needing extra patience and care, I understand the unique attention each stage of life requires. What sets me apart from other sitters is my personalized approach. I take the time to learn each pet’s personality, preferences, and routine so they feel safe and comfortable in my care. I’m experienced with basic puppy training, leash manners, and crate training. For older pets, I provide gentle, attentive support—whether that means administering medication, helping with mobility, or simply offering lots of love and companionship. I believe communication is key, so I always keep pet parents updated with photos and notes to ensure peace of mind while you're away. Your pet’s safety and happiness are my top priorities, and I treat every animal as if they were my own. I work in IT from home, which gives me a very flexible schedule and allows me to be available throughout the day for pet care. Whether it’s regular walks, playtime, feeding, or just keeping your pet company, I can easily fit their needs into my daily routine. When caring for pets in your home, I treat your space—and your pet—with the same respect and attention I give my own. I follow your routines closely, whether that’s feeding schedules, walks, medication, or house rules, to keep your dog comfortable and stress-free. I understand how important trust is when someone enters your home, and I always communicate clearly, keep things tidy, and send regular updates so you feel at ease while you're away. Your pet’s safety and comfort come first. I pay close attention to their behavior and needs, and I’m happy to accommodate special requests or routines to help them feel secure. Whether your dog needs quiet companionship, active playtime, or just a calm presence while you're gone, I provide reliable, loving care every time.

“Allison is great! I needed someone to do some drop-ins while I was on a short work trip. Allison came by right on schedule, took care of everything with no problems, and was sure to send me photos and updates. And you can tell she genuinely enjoys getting to spend some time with the animals. I felt like my dog was very well taken care of.”

“Hannah is perfect with our dogs, very relaxed even though our boy Champ was nervous and barking! She took time out to call and even FaceTime us to relax him. Highly recommended Hannah!”

“Nohemi went above and beyond taking care of our pets during an excessive heat wave while we were out of town. Thanks for everything Nohemi!”

Marley M.
“Dear Rover.com, Let me sing praises about Marley. She is an awesome and compassionate dog caregiver. I was stuck in a true crisis over Thanksgiving 2018. After driving 9.5 hours from Las Vegas to San Francisco to spend the holiday with my sister and her family, we discover that my sister failed to disclose to her anti-dog husband that we would be bringing our dog Ella. Needless to say he was livid. We either had to load the kids and dog back into the car and drive back to Vegas (which I was very close to doing, I was THAT upset) or we find other options for Ella. Now to the good part.... With it being the long Thanksgiving weekend, finding a place to board Ella was impossible. Until I was referred to Marley. She empathetically listened to my dilemma and took my 12 year old pit mix Ella into her care. From Wednesday until Saturday late night, she took care of my Ella, texting me pictures of her playing at the dog park and get this... EVEN TOOK ELLA TO THANKSGIVING DINNER AT HER FAMILY'S HOUSE (of course with my permission). I couldn't and still can't believe someone as awesome as Marley even exists!!! Ella thanks you! I thank you!!! Marley, you are the best!! Good blessings to you!! P.S. Rover.com, you are lucky to have her represent you!”

Cameron L.
“Cameron has been raised with hunting dogs. These are high energy, strong, extremely driven and intelligent individuals. He has been taught to respect these athletes as though they are humans, not something less. I have trusted Cameron to be alone with our pups for weeks at a time, and when I return home it is very apparent all have enjoyed the experience safely.”

Lizzie is super responsive and responsible. She coaxed our shy kitty out and they became besties. Would definitely book again!

Jennifer was wonderful with our two kitties! We just added a new kitten to the family and it was our first time leaving them alone. Jennifer gave us wonderful detailed updates, lots of pictures, and provided a few suggestions. Much appreciated! We felt so comfortable with her taking care of our little ones. Highly recommended!

Christine was a lifesaver with our last minute request for a pet sitter while we on vacation. She dropped in twice a day to feed and clean litter for our very shy cat. She is reliable and trustworthy. Thank you Christine!!

Hailey did a pre meet with me and made all of the dropins with no problems. She was true to the commitment and River was safe. It was like I wasn't even gone. Ty.

Blythe is a loving and professional cat sitter. She took great care of my cat. She kept me updated on visits and sent adorable pictures.

Grace took care of our boys for 3 days while we went away to get married. She is the best sitter we could have hoped for. We got so many pictures and complete updates. We felt like we were home with them. She went above and beyond to take care of them. We are so grateful. Obi and Butter had such a great time. Thank you so much !

Our cat and dog were both so calm and at ease when we got home—that is the best testament to how they were looked after! They were happy, house felt great, and I know Lisa treated them like her own!

Cody is an awesome pet sitter! My cats adore him, and I feel completely comfortable leaving them in his care. I know he’ll provide them with tons of love and attention, and keep up with their schedule perfectly. He’s super reliable and follows instructions well. I fully trust him to care for my kitties and my home while I’m away, and it brings me so much peace of mind to know he’s there! Thank you, Cody! You’re the best!

Ariel has watched our cat twice now and was amazing both times, very communicative and sent lots of pictures!

Katie was a great dog sitter. We are impressed with her punctuality and poise and Pippa enjoyed her visits. She took excellent care and communicated well. We heartily recommend Katie to other dog owners.

Britt is an awesome sitter, there’s not much more I can say he took care of Nala as if she were her own and kept me posted every step of the way. Even bringing his dog so Nala can have someone to play with to help with separation anxiety. He’s awesome and I’d definitely recommend him for anyone!
