About: Hello! I am a 26 year old grad student attending Santa Clara University pursuing a counseling degree. I have grown up with dogs and currently co-parent a 3 year old pit mix, Levi! I have had extensive experience caring for various breeds, from big (Dobermans, pits, labs) to small (Jack russels, Shiba Inus, etc.)! I am experienced with senior dog care and young puppy care. I am open to getting to know your pups schedule, taking them on walks, and providing longer term care for vacations. I am excited to meet you and your pup! Shannon and her family took such excellent care of Daisy, understanding of and worked around our dog's quirks - a little anxious, esp around other dogs for one thing - gave Daisy lots of attention, careful & thoughtful of her, and took her on two walks in 24 hrs. I don't know if Daisy remembered them from last year, but she was smiling from ear to ear within 30 seconds of being in Shannon's & Chris's home and that's how she was when we picked her up!! Shannon sent timely updates with pictures and is so easy to communicate with. We would be lucky to have Daisy stay with Shannon and her family again! About: I have loved cats and dogs forever and have had cats for 25 years. I have taken care of friends’ dogs and cats since I was a teenager. I am kind, and will treat your beloved pet like my own. My cat passed away last year and I am not yet ready for a permanent addition to my home. I am working full-time, however I have hybrid schedule. In the summer I work one day in the office and the rest from home. During the rest of the year I work three days a week in the office and two days from home, however, I can make flexible arrangements as well, I live in an apartment on a quiet street and about a 10 minute walk to the beach. Throughout my life I have owned dogs as well as been trusted by friends and family to care for their animals when they are unable to do so. I have had extensive experience caring for various breeds, from big (Dobermans, pits, labs) to small (Jack russels, Shiba Inus, etc.)! I am experienced with senior dog care and young puppy care. “Daisy had one previous day-long stay with Shannon about one year ago and our schedules finally lined up for us to be able to leave Daisy over night. As with our first stay, we couldn't ask for more! Shannon and her family took such excellent care of Daisy, understanding of and worked around our dog's quirks - a little anxious, esp around other dogs for one thing - gave Daisy lots of attention, careful & thoughtful of her, and took her on two walks in 24 hrs. I don't know if Daisy remembered them from last year, but she was smiling from ear to ear within 30 seconds of being in Shannon's & Chris's home and that's how she was when we picked her up!! Shannon sent timely updates with pictures and is so easy to communicate with. We would be lucky to have Daisy stay with Shannon and her family again! I even started my own dog walking business in middle school :) I work full time in office but I am available early morning and after work. I've been dog sitting/walking for friends and family since I was 16 and have always found it to be a rewarding experience. This past year I became certified as a dog trainer in an effort to expand my knowledge of animal behaviors. I have definitely found this new knowledge to be extremely helpful with my business as a whole, not just with training. I currently have a Golden Retriever puppy named Calcifer.
