About: I have have multiple years of caring for people's pets. I was a professional housekeeper with my own business for over 20 years and also cared for their animals when they were away. I have been a long time pet owner myself and recently my fur babies passed away. I am looking to earn a little extra income as a senior while enjoying the company of animals. I am a senior and I am retired. Recently my fur babies passed away and I am looking to supplement my income while caring for people's pets. I really miss having animals in my home. I live in a senior mobile home park and I have a fenced in yard. I make sure that animals are safe, fed watered, walked and get plenty of potty breaks. They will get lots of love. I keep the yard clear of poop so that their environment is healthy for them.
About: I enjoy dogs and will care for them like family. I have had dogs, cats, rabbits and guinea pigs in my life since I was a kid. I enjoy playing with them, watching and walking your dogs. My schedule is flexible and I am able to work around your needs for pet care in your home. Look forward to hearing from you. I have a fenced yard at home and always walk dogs on leashes. I can use your pet stroller if you would like me to take them on walks. I double check for safety in and out of doors and make sure there is nothing that they can get into before I leave your home.
About: Hey there! :o) My name is Laura and I love animals! Have always had a big heart for them!! I've pet sat for 13 years and the longest I've had a sitting job has been two weeks, staying at my client's home. I'm originally from Los Angeles and have lived in the Rogue Valley for the last four years. I'm trying to connect and grow my clientele here. I'm a very nurturing person and love to give your pets love and attention they deserve! I'm a very compassionate person, who you can trust and depend on while I'm sitting, and I don't drink or smoke! I love to go outside with the dogs/cats and play with them! While I'm sitting, I do work my full-time job, during the school calendar year, as a special education assistant. I do travel too, but not all that much. Usually in the summer, Veteran's Day weekend, and Christmas/New Years. Please contact me if you would like to get to know me more, meet, or have any other questions! Would love to meet and dedicate my time to your pet(s)! Thank You! I work in education at a school, Monday through Friday, and will come right home to your pets. I leave the house at 7:30 am and get back home, no later than 4:30pm. On the weekends, when sitting, I will stay in with your pets 90 percent of the time, hanging out with them at keeping them company. I love having the pets getting to know me, so I take my time with them, letting them direct. Once, I feel they're comfortable, I give them lots of love.
About: I’ve been around animals my entire life. I’ve owned and cared for animals of all types ranging from reptiles to large livestock. I have experience training puppies as well as working on smaller things like simple manners and attentiveness. I’ve have past job history working at a vet based boarding facility and am comfortable and knowledgeable on give meds and handling dogs when away from their people. I am available for drop in visits and dog walking 7 days a week! Monday through Friday I am available after 1pm, weekends I’m open all day for your furry friends! I treat all clients animals as if they were my own. They are cared for very well while clients are gone away from the home. Lots of love, play time, and just hanging out. If wanted by clients, dogs are regularly walked and exercised (I’m a hiker so am happy to take them to do outdoor hikes as well) along with regular care as if their parents never even left. I try to keep a relatively realistic schedule and life for animals while parents are gone so that they don’t have much stress when parents are away.
“Kelsey was so great! She answered my inquiry right away and was able to sit for us on relatively short notice. She stopped by to get acquainted before we left and I appreciated her prompt check-ins and how well she cared for our kitties. I definitely recommend her services.”

“Kristen did an amazing job caring for our cat twice a day for two weeks, including administering multiple medications! She was dependable and thoughtful. She reached out to us with any questions or concerns she had before and during our trip. She sent photos from every visit. We were able to enjoy our vacation knowing our cat was safe with her. I would absolutely book her again in the future!”

About: I have hands-on experience caring for and working with animals, including training and handling CCI dogs where I learned patience, consistency, reading animal behavior, and building trust through positive interactions. I’m also a dedicated pet owner myself and care for my two cats daily, giving me a strong understanding of routines, feeding schedules, play, comfort, and attentive care. I genuinely love animals and prioritize creating a safe, calm, and positive environment where pets feel comfortable and cared for 🐾❤️ I am self employed, so I have all the time in the world for your fur babies ☺️. I’m used to maintaining consistent feeding schedules, giving pets attention and playtime, and making sure they feel comfortable and cared for throughout the day. I enjoy creating a calm and positive environment, and I make time for the small things that matter — whether that’s walks, enrichment, cuddles, or simply keeping a pet company. I see pet care as more than a task on a checklist; I genuinely enjoy building trust and making animals feel safe, happy, and loved. 🐾 For overnight care, I focus on keeping your pet’s routine feeling as normal, comfortable, and stress-free as possible while you’re away. I understand that pets thrive on consistency, so I make it a priority to follow feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medication routines if needed, and all of the little details that help them feel secure. I genuinely enjoy spending quality time with animals, so your pet wouldn’t just receive basic care — they’d have companionship, attention, and someone making sure they feel loved and comfortable in their own environment. I also know how important communication is, and I’m happy to provide updates and photos so you can feel at ease while you’re away. 🐾

About: Look, anyone can watch a pet. My thing? I actually listen. Seriously. My superpower is picking up on what animals are trying to tell me—be it a happy purr, a 'back off' bark, or a goat's casual bleat for attention. Being a digital nomad means my schedule is entirely my own, so I can truly be present and adapt to their needs, not some rigid clock. Playtime? Cuddles? Or just needing space? I read the room (or yard, or barn). I've got hands-on experience with everything from puppies to pigs, so your critters are always in genuinely attuned hands. This isn't just some gig; it's about making a real connection, deeply. As a digital nomad, my work goes where I go, and my schedule is completely my own. That means no rushing off to an office, no rigid 9-to-5, and definitely no 'squeezing in' pet time. I build my day around the animals I'm caring for. If a dog needs an extra walk, or a cat wants a sudden play session When I'm caring for your pets, my absolute focus is on maintaining their normal routine and comfort right there in their own space. I'm not just showing up to feed and split; I'm integrating into their lives. That means sticking to their feeding schedule, managing medications if needed, and keeping their environment exactly how you left it—clean, familiar, and totally stress-free. Here's the deal: as a digital nomad, my work goes where I go, and my schedule is completely my own. That translates directly into true presence for your pets. If I'm house sitting for you, your animals essentially become my co-workers. That means spontaneous play sessions, consistent outdoor time, and me being fully available. You'll get regular updates so you're never left wondering. Ultimately, it comes down to being attuned to their unique needs and ensuring they feel as comfortable, happy, and loved as they do with you, without ever having to leave their familiar surroundings.
“Louis was very professional and incredibly easy to work with. Our cats and tortoise were well cared for. Louis communicated clearly with us while we were gone, and even caught an error I made in the booking times. He obviously has an eye for detail and cares about the pets he watches. Thank you, Louis! We will definitely reach out again to book in the future!”

“We are so grateful to have found Novaleigh! She really has an intuitive read on dogs and my puppy and difficult older dog are already comfortable with her after one short visit.”

“Kaelin always does an awesome job cat sitting for me! She does every thing I ask and more! My three older kitties love her and allow her to pet, brush and play with them! I highly recommend her to watch your pets.”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Shady Cove. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
