“Olivia was a joy to deal with. She is pleasant and prompt and did a great job of keeping us updated on our cats. I would definitely recommend her and we will be using her next time we travel.”

“Kamrie is awesome with my puppy! She's trustworthy and was able to update me with my puppy with rover cards. Thankful for the extra snuggle and walks she gives for my puppy 🐾”

“While being out of town for four days, I had complete peace of mind that my four cats were being taken care of. Christy showed up at her drop in times and stayed long enough to take care of everything and interact with my cats. I would recommend Christy”

“Samantha is absolutely wonderful! From the initial meet and greet, I immediately felt confident that she would be a great fit for our dogs. She was kind, responsive, dependable, and communicated so well throughout our entire trip. I especially appreciated all of the photos, videos, and detailed report cards she sent after each visit. It made such a difference being able to see how our boys were doing and know they were comfortable, happy, and well cared for while we were away. Being able to relax and enjoy our trip without worrying about them was honestly priceless. Samantha was attentive, thoughtful, and clearly took the time to get to know our two dogs rather than just stopping in to check a box. We felt completely comfortable having her care for them and are grateful for her services! We would absolutely use her again in the future. Highly recommend Samantha to anyone looking for a quality pet sitter!!”

“Jackie did such a wonderful job taking care of my dog! She has quite a bit of anxiety, so I really appreciated how patient, gentle, and attentive she was with her. I felt completely comfortable knowing she was in good hands while I was away. She also went out of her way to give my cat some love and attention, even though caring for her wasn’t part of her responsibilities. That meant so much to me. I would absolutely recommend her and will definitely book with her again! ❤️”

“My pups and I loved having Micaela stop in and play with them. She genuinely loves taking care of furbabies and went above & beyond my expectations in her communication with me, from the moment we confirmed booking until her last check in. I had never used Rover prior to this weekend and know that I can trust Micaela with my babies in the future. 5 stars, absolutely recommend her.”

“Kristina was great with Auggie and Boo! They truly enjoyed her visits and loved all the special attention. Kristina was always on time, attentive and really went the extra mile for us! Thank you! We will definitely reach out again.”

“Brooke did a great job taking care of my cat. She came to the hose prior to sitting and spent time with my little fur baby. My cat loved on Brook and I was extremely comfortable leaving my cat in her care. I got daily updates and pictures. I would highly recommend Brooke for pet services.”

About: I have worked with cats and dogs for more than half of my 21 years of life, and I will say living without them might be the worst thing I've ever had to endure. I have great experience working with cats and dogs. Mostly with my very own! I have two cats and two dogs, Bella Beauty is the oldest at 14 human years old, definitely the sassyest of the bunch!! She is very versed in tricks and polite despite her sass! Basil Bay is my second dog and is only a year old, she is thirty five pounds and a big bundle of energy!! She's our sweet girl and loves to play and cuddle up on the couch, she also absolutely adores food!! Twilight Sparkle is my childhood Cat and is quite spoiled with food at her disposal, making her a chunk of pure love! she loves to be pet all over,, even on her tummy! She is also versed in a few tricks like shake, sit, and up! Sunrise Rae, (Kiki) is my other kitty who is very much the independent one of the bunch, she is 12 years old and very shy compared to Twilight, she loves to go outside and climb trees, chase Basil around,(and vis versa) play with cat toys, and sunbathe in the afternoons. I have experience walking, some grooming, feeding , playing With, and cuddling dogs and cat. I have a cleaning job I do two to three days a week, and I was looking to fill the gaps in between with caring for pets! In my home we have an invisible fence for our dogs and an automatic doggy door so the dogs can go outside anytime they need! Kiki also likes to use the door for herself! In my location, I have a small, wooden fenced in area of the yard, but the bigger area is not physically fenced in, so I would take your pet out on a leash to use the potty outside!

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals for as long as I can remember, and caring for them has always come naturally to me. Friends, neighbors, and family have trusted me time and time again to look after their pets (and even their plants), and it’s something I genuinely enjoy. I share my home with my sweet lab mix, Congo, and my newly adopted cat, Mayo, who bring so much joy into my life. I’ve also spent years house‑sitting and pet‑sitting, and my time working in the local restaurant industry has taught me to be dependable, patient, and attentive. I treat every pet with the same love and comfort I give my own! I’m a local college student with a flexible schedule, which gives me plenty of time to give your pets attention, playtime, and consistent care. I follow safe walking practices with secure leash handling and close awareness of my surroundings. I also stick to your dog’s usual training and routine to keep them comfortable.
“Michael did a fantastic job of taking care of my two cats! I was gone for a two week trip and he made sure they had all that they needed. When I returned the cats were happy and well taken care of. This was the first time I was away from them for a significant period of time, and Michael made sure to keep me well updated. I would definitely trust Michael to take care of my cats again!”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs all my life, helping out neighbors, friends, and family with walking, feeding, and even the occasional bath. Over the years, I’ve worked with all kinds of dogs, big and small, playful puppies to seniors. I genuinely love spending time with animals and always treat them like part of the family. Whether your pet needs a cuddle buddy or someone to burn off some energy, I’m here to help! Right now, I’m in between graduation and starting my full-time job, so I have a lot of flexibility in my schedule. I’m using this time to do something I truly enjoy—spending time with animals. Pet care fits perfectly into my daily routine, whether it’s morning walks, afternoon check-ins, or overnight stays. It’s a great way for me to stay active and do something meaningful. I have a spacious apartment with plenty of room for an animal and lots of walking trails nearby to walk around! Just five feet from my home is a dog park where I take pups to run, play, and socialize (with your permission, of course). I’m happy to follow your pet’s routine, crate if needed, and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away.

About: I’ve loved animals since I was small, but am too queasy for the veterinary career. My life has thrown me multiple curveballs in the last few years, and I want to assist other people when life throws them curveballs!! I work full time in hospitality, with a varying schedule but am flexible!! I want to provide whatever services you need for whenever life happens! I will care for your babies in whatever way they need!! Whether that be varying personalities, just needing someone to hang out with them, or monitor their conditions and contacting vets if needed
“She was great with the cats, and so communicative and sweet! Would highly recommend and will be rebooking with her for sure next time I go on a trip. Thanks Kimmie and kids!”

About: I’ve spent years caring for dogs and cats, including my own pets as well as pet sitting for friends and family. While I’m new to Rover, I’m definitely not new to caring for animals! I’m comfortable with dogs and cats of different personalities and needs, from energetic pets who want lots of playtime and walks to more reserved pets who need patience and time to warm up. I can help with feeding, fresh water, walks, potty breaks, litter boxes, playtime, medications, and other needs that are part of your pet’s normal routine. I understand how important it is to have someone dependable caring for your pets when you can’t be there, and I’ll treat them with the same attention and care I give my own. I work full-time, primarily during evening and nighttime hours, which gives me plenty of daytime availability for pet care! My work schedule varies from week to week, so I often have weekdays and daytime hours available when many pet owners are at work. I keep my Rover calendar updated to reflect my availability and am happy to work with you to find visit or walk times that fit your pet’s normal routine. On my days off, I have even more flexibility for multiple drop-ins, walks, and pets who may need a little extra attention. Feel free to reach out with the dates and times you need—even with my unconventional schedule, I may be available! Your pet’s safety and comfort are my priority. I’ll follow their normal routine and your instructions closely, including feeding, medications, walks, and any special needs. I’m careful with doors, gates, and leashes, respectful of your home, and happy to provide updates so you know your pet is safe and well cared for.
About: I am patient and caring. Animals have souls, they have feelings and they are a part of our families. I genuinely understand how important our fur babies are to us. I work full-time 8am-5pm Monday - Friday in Pinehurst. I am happy to take care of your pet before and after my shifts. I get an hour for lunch so if your pet is in Pinehurst I am able to offer a walk or drop-in at lunch time as well. I cannot currently host pets at my home due to caring for my own senior kitty who is very uncomfortable around dogs. I am happy to take care of your pet in their environment and familiar surroundings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
