“Kayla was awesome, I could not tell you how relieving it is to be able to leave my cats (one which needs oral medicines) knowing she was coming. She played with them everyday and never missed anything. I enjoyed the photos provided and hope she can come back next time the cats need her! 1000% recommend.”

“She went above and beyond to help out with not only my animals but my garden too! Her communication was excellent and she was kind and genuine. So grateful I found a great sitter!”

“Thank you Madeline for loving our cats while we were out. She is prompt, and responsible. We trusted Madeline and would definitely contact her next time we are out of town.”

“Tyeler was amazing. She is very responsive and accommodating for our meet and greet. Both of our dogs liked her right off the bat. She asked great questions during our initial meeting and was flexible with our schedule changes. While checking in on Willow, she left detailed messages and clearly made Willow feel safe and cared for. I really appreciated reading her notes when I came home (we were out of phone service for the weekend) and seeing the photos she took of our girl! I would definitely recommend Tyeler as a sitter and look forward to having someone nearby I can trust when we go out of town again.”
“Morgan was great and our pups loved her! She was a great communicator and sent us photos while we were gone. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter.”

“Karolina dropped by a couple times on 5-6-26 to walk our Brody and play with him while we were away. She is definitely worth 5 stars! We've already booked her for a second sitting. I would highly recommend her!”

“We had never hired a pet-sitter before, and we were nervous about leaving our cats home while I had to take a 3-day business trip. One of our cats is shy around other people and has weird eating habits. Zane set our minds at ease. She visited with us first and got to know the cats, then she gave us update photos/videos and comments with every visit. She was patient and kind and really took the time to earn our shy cat's trust. We would absolutely hire her again in the future.”

“Karlee has checked in on my cat a couple times now. She has excellent communication and follows instructions. I know my little furball is in great hands with her!! Highly recommended.”

“Thank you Jennifer once again my fur babies loved seeing you! I can go visit my grandkids overnight and not worry I have been so blessed to be able to book with you each time and don’t want anyone else!!”

“Thank you Ratih for taking care of our animals while we were gone. My wife and I are always nervous when we are away from home but Ratih kept us at ease. We especially appreciated the photos and short videos she sent us. I highly recommend her services and we will be using her again in the near future.”

About: Experienced animal care professional with a lifelong passion for pets. Providing personalized, in-home care for a variety of animals. Previously served for 3 years as the manager and lead caregiver in the boarding wing of a veterinary clinic, overseeing day to day operations, administering medications, and ensuring the health and comfort of all boarded animals. Quality care for pets of many sizes and temperaments. Certified Petco Dog Trainer on positive training. I work weekends teaching class. My partner is home during my work hours. So pets are never left alone for long, unless I am running a errand or providing another pet a drop in! I have a fully fenced yard and a small little 15lb chihuahua mix that is super socialized with all dogs. He is a few years old and is a great playmate! I do own a cat, but she has her own reserved room in the home, she is older and takes blood pressure and seizures medications. She is not in the area where dogs are kept. Drop ins I offer the most safe and comfortable stays in the comfort of the pet's home, and I am sure to spend time with pets as requested!
“Lizz was a wonderful cat sitter during my time away! I definitely suggest reaching out to her for pet care, and will be using her services again in the future! Thanks Lizz!”

About: I’ve had all kinds of animals since I can remember, from cats to parrots to duck and chickens. Unfortunately my mom is allergic to dogs but I grew up with them at my grandparents house and all my friends. I work part time and I am on a break from college, but I still have lots of time to spend with your furry friends! Depending on the instructions you leave me with, I’ll give your animals attention and make sure they’re fed and waters and get lots of exercise and keep your house tidy!
“Amber came by to take care of my two kitties and houseplants. She did an excellent job with both. The cats had a new brand of wet cat food in the selection, she noticed that they like the new kind better. I highly recommend Amber for pet sitting, and as a bonus she is great with house plants too.”

“Rachael was great! She made regular and timely visits. We asked her to stop by in the morning and she did. Rachael also played with and snuggled with our kitty and took some great pictures of her too! We highly recommend her!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
