“I'd give Marchi 10 stars if I could! Our dog Sam was anxious when first meeting her, but she put him at ease within seconds! In fact, as a super-attached dog-mom, it put me at ease right away, too! I just knew Sam would be happy and safe! On his second day with her, we dropped him off and he never looked back as he wagged his tail and looked at her. I know he got lots of love and exercise, too, because each night when he got home, he would sleep like a rock! I also really appreciate Marchi's communication style, and how she went above and beyond making sure Sam was happy, safe, and never alone during his stays. I really wish we lived closer to Marchi (she watched Sam during the days on a recent weekend trip to the coast) so she could watch Sam all the time for us! She is THE best! But whenever we're in the area, I'll cross my fingers that Marchi is available. Thanks again Marchi! Sam misses you already! <3”

“Alicia is truly the best!! I’m from out of town, Alicia had worked that morning had a family gathering to attend a 2 year old AND GUESTS from out of town. I told her my story and she made time to walk ME, my big double doodle pup and my daughter-in-laws 10 year old dog to the beach and back!!! She’s truly a 5 plus Star person!! Her last name is Ritter… so I’ll never forget Ritter’s Critter Sitters!! I’ll be back!!! So grateful!!”

About: I adore being around dogs and cats, they have such personalities and are so darn cute 🥰 i pay attention to detail and am thoughtful and empathetic as well as feel a sense of responsibility to the animals i care for. I also understand what it can be like as a pet parent to be away from your babies, so I am very communicative to keep you updated. I work primarily within Astoria and am honored to care for precious fur babies for wonderful clients. I have a green thumb and can care for plants as well! Looking forward to hearing from you. About: I am a long time dog lover and owner. I will treat your pup like family with a lot of love, exercise, attention, and affection. I teach elementary school during the week and am off summers. During the school year, I will walk your dog in the am, at lunch and in the evenings. Weekends are wide open for beach adventures, long games of fetch, and full-time attention to your pup! We have a fenced in backyard with garage access for your dog or they are free to roam and play in our home when we are there. We live 2 blocks from the estuary/beach so your pup will get plenty of exercise running, playing fetch and taking long walking adventures. I'm happy to accommodate any special needs to help make your dog comfortable and feel at home.

“Jordyn was such a lifesaver for taking our request with less than 48 hours notice, and I seriously got so lucky-- she was amazing. This was my first time using a drop off daycare with someone Judy hasn't met previously. Jordyn asked all the right questions to determine Judy's needs wherever I missed gaps in relaying information. She sent me a couple of updates on how Judy was doing on her own accord, and I could tell Judy was in great hands and as comfortable as can be. I really appreciated Jordyn telling me numerous times that she was flexible about pick up time and how communicative she was. It made me feel really at ease, and I was able to enjoy a really great day in Astoria by myself, going places where needy dogs need not go :)”

“I have two indoor cats and, with me being retired, they are a bit on the spoiled side and use to me being home. I was planning a 2 week vacation in another state but had to delay leaving due to one of them being hospitalized and on medication when he got home. Without turning this in a book, Jackie M stepped up and loved on them, took care of all their needs over and beyond just basic care, gave Bailey his meds as scheduled and (with my permission) brought her grandson over to play with them too. She took wonderful loving care of them She would even check in with me after I got home to make sure they were well. I would totally trust her to take care of them again.”

She was incredibly flexible in meeting us at random times and locations and could be counted on to give our dog her best attention. We could tell that she took extra care of our dog and brought her to all the best local dog parks to socialize and play. We even trusted her to dog sit at our home when we needed a special date night or function out.
