I am employed full time as a PhD student at Cornell and am seeking a side job that I could enjoy as much as my current job. I live by myself in a quiet, smoke-free home with no other animals or children. I am in a pedestrian-friendly area with excellent scenery for walking. Because much of my work schedule is flexible, I will have time throughout the day to take care and spend time with your pet. I also have more availability on weekends. As an animal lover, I like to interact with dogs through play (tossing a ball, playing tug-of-war with a toy, running around outside) and relaxing with them and giving them pets.

I have many years of experience working with animals, from pet-sitting in my home, neighborhood, and campus to volunteering in animal shelters. I am a third-year environmental science student at Cornell University. I have experience administering oral and topical medication to pets, have cared for senior pets, and know how to safely remove ticks. I love hiking and will make sure your energetic pup gets all the exercise they need! I have a car and am happy to bring animals along on adventures. I am a student with a flexible schedule and a car to get me and your animals to where they need to go! Overnight stays are easy for me to do and I often have time for long walks. About: I have lived with dogs my whole life, starting my animal loving journey. I had such a great time that I went into farm animals, and eventually got my own cats! I don’t discriminate from dogs, cats, pigs, cows, fish, or anything else. I am an organized care taker, being able to maintain strict medical care schedules and creating fun enrichment. I have a flexible schedule, with early mornings, afternoons, and evenings available. Weekends are on the table too! I will be starting my masters in August, so then my schedule will be a bit more 9-5, still leaving large availability for your fur baby. I can do any care tasks or rituals that make your pet feel most comfortable while you’re busy. Whether it be a certain walk route, a favorite toy or game, a cool release word, or some simple lounge time, I can meet the need!

We needed a sitter last minute for our two dogs during our wedding - we wanted them to be there, but didn’t want to leave them alone when we were getting ready, dancing, etc. When she arrived I immediately felt comfortable leaving the pups with her, so I could focus on everything else. She came midday Saturday and stayed until after our wedding; she was comfortable hanging out with us while we got ready, and just making sure the dogs were taken care of. She walked them around the grounds and kept them within arms reach, if necessary, throughout the reception. And then fed them and watched TV with them as it got dark. Her presence allowed us to really enjoy our day! We’re so thankful.”

I’ve house sitter for them and taken their dogs for walks for years. I love treating each pet with the same level of love they would get from their owners since they aren’t there. About: I grew up in the woods surrounded by a constant menagerie of beloved animals, from kittens and hamsters and goldfish to an energetic black lab and her tumbling litter of puppies, to parakeets and cockatiels and the wild baby hawks my mother rescued. Though I never had a snake growing up, I lived with two ball pythons in college and learned about reptiles petsitting for iguanas. Because I travel regularly, I’m not in a position to have pets of my own, and so petsitting is not only a way to earn extra income, but also to fulfill my longing to connect with animals. Life is better with creature friends! I’ve been petsitting for 21 years, and I have experience with a wide variety of animal, both long- and short-term stays, and with boarding cats, dogs, and snakes at my home for weeks at a time. I’ve provided long-term care for kitties and pooches who need diabetes injections twice a day, and I’m no stranger to following *very specific protocols* to get an aged friend to take their daily pills. I’ve cared for nervous nellies and pandemonius puppies and cats who need to chase lots of things in order to stay sane. I enjoy learning your pets’ favorite games to play, and I’m also experienced with supporting any training and boundaries you’re working on with them. I understand that when I’m petsitting, it’s like nannying children (which I’ve also done for over a decade!) I’m a professional musician and I have performances from time to time in the evenings or brunch time, but I’m able to plan my schedule around your pets’ needs. I love the psychological richness of caring for new and different types of animals, and I’m a quick study to learn new protocols. I’m happy to learn your pets’ rhythms, and match their routines as closely as possible while I’m with them. I have many years of experience with overnight gigs in other people’s homes, and I deeply respect the responsibility of caring for someone else’s space. Since I’ve been petsitting for so long, I’m very familiar with keeping a small footprint and cleaning up thoroughly after myself. I also have experience caring for plants and other home maintenance needs while petsitting, anything that will put your mind at ease while you travel.

About: my family has owned 4 dogs during my life and I have had to take care of them and will do the same with yours as well. This is my only job so I have all the time in the world. I can spend however much time you would need with your dog. I will do whatever is necessary to care for your pets. I will follow all guidelines for your pets and ask questions when I don't understand things.

About: Hey! I'm Yazmeen. I've been petsitting for the last 8 years. I started with my sister and continued on my own. I have experience giving medication and with senior dogs as well as kittens. I love a long walk if the dog is up for it, and I'm always down to play and snuggle. Let me know if you're interested! My schedule is pretty flexible right now. I I usually wake up early, so I don't mind an early walk or feeding schedule. I typically go to bed around 11pm-midnight, but I am happy to work around a pet's schedule, especially to accommodate any medications or weather. I was raised to leave things better than I found them, so I always do a thorough clean before I leave a petsitting gig (including washing sheets, so you can go straight to bed!) I can also bring in mail and water plants if you give me a watering schedule.
