Chris is so thoughtful and generous. She brought a big bone for my dog, cleaned up my house and left food for me when she left. How sweet is that! She's very caring and attentive. I definitely recommend her for anyone's fur-babies!! 💕

There’s no words that can describe the amazing experience my dogs and I had using Heathers house sitting and dog walking services! My dogs used to go the kennel and would seem depressed and scared when getting them home. I came back after 4 days and the dogs acted like I just left. Apparently they didn’t need to miss me since they were showered with love and affection the entire time. Heather doesn’t mention it on her profile, but she sends you the most fantastic photos of your pet!! The photos you receive seem like you hired her specifically for glamor shots of your pets. I’m actually excited to take another vacation knowing that there’s an amazing soul like Heather that will care for your pets like they are her own!

About: Hey my name is Taleem I’ve cared for pets my whole life basically from turtles chinchillas and bunny’s to lap dogs mastiffs and horses I’m well experienced and genuinely care about your pets well being. Potty breaks and training is not a problem I allow dogs on my furniture and bed I live in a smoke free home that is also an apartment I’m not too far from Griffith park so walks there are common for me; I’m a pretty active person because I am a student athlete. I’m currently in my sophomore year and just looking for extra ways of income and caring for animals has always came naturally to me, and I came to love it at a young age so why not do what you love and get paid.

About: While not owning any of my own, Ive watched friends and families babies. I love all sizes and believe in earning the animals trust always. I am currently home, and would love to find work that completes me. I love all animals and its would be a joy to do this as a career. We would not be able to offer in home at my residence, so not to create conflict or stress to our furbabies. As for caring in my clients home, I believe in trust and keeping my clients updated. Pet pics, if they like. I've had one person want phone on speaker to talk to theirs.

Cassie was wonderful and I know we’ll be calling her again soon! She house sat for 2 days. Stella is older and has some health issues. Cassie followed all of our feeding and walking directions, and let us know how she was doing throughout the day, so I didn’t worry. It was nice to be able to relax and enjoy our short vacation!

About: I currently have 3 dogs who I treat as my kids. I raised one as a puppy and rescued the other from the SPCA and saved one from being left stranded. My pit sleeps with my daughter and my shep/lab is our watch dog at night. My daughter is willing to help in whatever needs to be done too. I work full time and will be doing this before and after work. I am willing to stay over on weekends and when ever I am off from work. My dogs are very well behaved around other dogs and love to make new friends. I am willing to travel within reason. Can’t wait to meet you and get to spend time with your pups. Hope to hear from you soon. Thank you for reading this. I work full time during the week and available for dog/cat care anytime after 4pm. Weekends are spent caring for your pets!!! If you have questions regarding my availability please send me a message or reach out. I have a fenced in yard which provides extra security when we are playing outside. If I am going to be going to your home and you don’t have a fenced in yard then will definitely keep an extra eye/leash on your pet. I will make sure the house is in order the way you left it prior to me coming.

About: I am an animal lover and would love to help take care of your furry, feathered, and scaled friends! I have 3 cats and since I was born, I have always had at least one cat and fish. I also love dogs and have experience with farm animals, too. I can help with feedings, waste clean-up, walking, play time, brushing, and whatever else you may need. I am also happy to take photos, send you text updates, or do a phone call/video chat with you during the service so I can keep you informed with any updates and to put your mind at ease (I know how stressful it can be when you've just met your pet sitter and you're away on vacation, missing your babies- I've been there!). Please feel free reach out with any questions or if you'd like to schedule a phone or in-person interview. I currently work part-time as a tour guide and do the occasional side gig in the pet care/housekeeping field. My schedule is pretty flexible, and I can make early morning and late afternoon and evening visits. Certain days I am available any time of day, as I am only working part-time and not every day. I always respect the client's house rules and put pet safety first. I can assist with feedings, walking dogs/letting them out in the yard, waste clean-up, brushing, and playtime/keeping pets' company.

About: I am here to take of your dog and to provide them the love they long when it’s vacation time for owners (or anytime you need to yourself). Provide exercise for dogs (usually in half-hour or one-hour increments). Pick up and dispose of dog droppings during walks. Check dogs' food and water supply to make sure basic needs are met after walks. I am very patient and show a lot of compassion towards dog. I just want them to feel at home away from home! I am also a very active person, so your dog will be able to have all of their fun they usually have or more when they are with me! I hope to walk your dog soon! Prices are non negotiable I am working from home currently. This will allow me to give your first baby all of the attention they desire. Please ask me any questions on any accommodations that we may be able to work out. I don’t have any pets of my own so if your fur baby isn’t fond of other pets they can feel secure being over my home. My I am close with my neighbors who do have friendly pets as well, so if your pet loves company, they can be easily accommodated. We also have a dog park walking distance from the complex

About: Hi! I love animals and love meeting new animal friends! I am very detail oriented and love to spend time with animals whether that through training or simply just cuddling. I have taken care of all types of animals my whole life and I am honored to care for someone else’s fur baby! I have a flexible schedule as a stay at home mom and am able to offer care services from overnight stays to grooming and basic training. I hope to be your top choice for your pets care! I am currently a stay at home mom and I can offer 24/7 services! I am readily available for all breeds of dogs and cats and I also like to research different breeds to learn about how to care for everyone’s unique individual traits. I am able to carry animals as needed and I also have an SUV that can be used in cases of emergency. I am up early mornings and can adjust to your fur babies schedule as needed. I have a fenced in dog kennel that was built for my own dogs which has 1 access point to make sure there are no accidental breakouts. I have a rather large home that offers multiple places to house your pet because I know everyone has a different situation so we are very adaptable. I am able to follow a routine and instructions left by my clients in the event I am needed at their home address.

About: I mostly took care of my dog and my sisters dog growing up. She has relied on me to walk, feed, and bathe her dog while she was away on business trips and vacations. I would love to help you too. I currently work full time, but there will be plenty of time after work and on weekends to play with and take care of your dog. I have a fenced yard and a friendly dog to keep your fur baby company. I can easily crate your dog if need be. We will all get along just fine.

Marisol was wonderful house sitting for my White German Shepherd Wolf during an extended trip I recently took that included some challenging communication issues due to my remote location (no cellular). She responded through WhatsApp and reassured me daily that all was well. She took the job on short notice and was an absolute pleasure to interact with, and asked questions for clarification of anything that she was unsure about. I appreciated that, and her excellent care of Wolf.

About: I’ve had years of experience growing up with and caring for my family dogs. I miss having a dog (but not so ready to adopt one of my own) so hoping to help out those in the neighborhood who need an extra hand with their furry friend for the day, night or weekend. I have tons of love and experience to give!! I work from home freelancing part-time so have a lot of time and energy to dedicate to your pup! Walks, boarding, companionship, anything they need! I don’t have any pets in my home, so no worries about your fella getting along with anyone else. I have a great fenced in yard out back of my townhouse.

FAQs for House Sitting - Sea Breeze

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 663 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Sea Breeze. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Sea Breeze walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Sea Breeze maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Sea Breeze choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Sea Breeze. On Rover:

  • 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
