“Melissa was amazing! She came for a meet and greet and asked so many great questions, She sat down on the floor and gave our dogs some love too! We were immediately put at ease seeing how comfortable she was with them, we have a black lab and a corgi mix. She sent us picture and text updates and overall made our weekend at the beach so stress free knowing our dogs were in good hands!”
“Emily was excellent, efficient, and punctual! She did a great job taking care of our 3 fur babies and promptly communicated with us the entire time. She made us feel safe that our 3 little kids were going to be well taken care of. We will definitely be rebooking her in the future!”

About: I’ve taken care of cats and dogs my whole life. My babies are lifers. Your animal is my number one priority. I prefer animals over humans any day I quit my job to walk dogs full time. I’m always available if you need me. Your babies are my babies. I’d prefer dogs over humans I have a fenced in yard and no one can escape. I abide by what the client asks for in their and my own home. I walk, play with your dog if toys are presented

“Jason was awesome. Great with updates. Super communicative. I demand a lot for the 13 pound furry man in my life and Jason made it all work even with a schedule that wasn’t the easiest.”

“Meghan was wonderful staying overnight with our very anxious Irish Doodle. She was patient and kind to him. Administered his medicine and took him for walks, taking special care of his injured knee. He loved her. Left our house in such great order, didn't even know she was there. I highly recommend her and hopefully can book again when another opportunity arises!”

“Keira was awesome with the "zoo" at my house. She was very conscientious and connected right away with all my pets. She kept me very well updated on how everyone was doing and was very flexible and easy to work with. I felt at peace knowing my pets were in good hands while I was away. Would recommend her as an A++ pet sitter!”

About: I love all animals so much! I treat them all like they are my own. I’ve taken care of a wide range of animals, from elderly dogs, to birds, and horses! I owned a Pet Sitting business for many years, but moved states once I got married. Me and my husband are homesteaders. He works from home, and we both tend our ducks and garden. We are hoping to have a farm stand this next summer! I love working hard and all animals! We have a very big fenced in back yard where your babe can run free and we can play! We are outside all the time with our animals and garden.

About: I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs and understand that every pet has their own personality and routine. I have hands-on experience raising my own two dogs—a 4-year-old Shih-Poo and a 2-year-old Pit Bull—both of whom I've cared for since they were puppies. That experience has taught me patience, consistency, and how to recognize when a dog needs playtime, reassurance, exercise, or simply a quiet place to relax. I treat every dog as if they were my own, paying close attention to their comfort, safety, and individual needs. Whether it's sticking to feeding schedules, going on walks, giving plenty of affection, or making sure anxious pets feel secure while their owners are away, I aim to provide dependable care that helps both pets and owners feel at ease. Im currently working part time so I'll be able to take care pets after 2 pm til 11pm . Im flexible on weekends so I can take care of pets any time on the weekends. I have a big yard and two friendly dogs to keep your fur babies company. I spend lots of time with dogs so I would dedicate lots of it to your pet.
“This was the first time we used Rover. Cassie was excellent and made us feel that she was the right person to take care of our babies. Although they are sweet, they are a handful sometimes when they have to be taken out for walks. The spaniel in them tends to dominate the walks. She was so sweet and sent pictures and videos and made us feel at ease.”

About: I am an animal lover and would love to help take care of your furry, feathered, and scaled friends! I have 3 cats and since I was born, I have always had at least one cat and fish. I also love dogs and have experience with farm animals, too. I can help with feedings, waste clean-up, walking, play time, brushing, and whatever else you may need. I am also happy to take photos, send you text updates, or do a phone call/video chat with you during the service so I can keep you informed with any updates and to put your mind at ease (I know how stressful it can be when you've just met your pet sitter and you're away on vacation, missing your babies- I've been there!). Please feel free reach out with any questions or if you'd like to schedule a phone or in-person interview. I currently work part-time as a tour guide and do the occasional side gig in the pet care/housekeeping field. My schedule is pretty flexible, and I can make early morning and late afternoon and evening visits. Certain days I am available any time of day, as I am only working part-time and not every day. I always respect the client's house rules and put pet safety first. I can assist with feedings, walking dogs/letting them out in the yard, waste clean-up, brushing, and playtime/keeping pets' company.
“Victoria arrived promptly and gave us continuous updates and pictures during her sit with Dexter. We would highly recommend Victoria to any other pet parents. We have already booked her for another visit!”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Dividing Creek walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Dividing Creek maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Dividing Creek choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
