About: I am a dog whisperer and a teacher. I am a husband, coach and father that will put your animals wants and needs first always! My family and I have dogs. 1 large breed, 1 medium breed. I walk them daily, work on commands and love playing in the backyard. I have a tall, fenced in backyard where the dogs play. I work on commands in the living room. My dogs have a designed sleeping area for our dogs.

About: Taking care of dogs is my passion in life. I currently own 2 dogs, an elderly hound and a young shepherd. My love for these two made me decide to have a career in working with and training working line dogs. This career path has given me a lot of experience with dogs of all types. Whether you dog is "hard to handle" or "easy going", I will be the perfect sitter for you. My entire world revolves around dogs. On days that I'm not working with my work dog or caring for someone else's pet, I am out training my own dogs. This is my passion and dream career, and nothing makes me happier. I like to care for pets at their own home. Being in their own home and following the same routines will make them feel safe while you are gone and will build a sense of trust with me. Your pet's safety and happiness is my number one priority.

About: I have had cats and dogs all my life. Currently I have thirteen fur/feather babies. Two cats, one Australian shepherd and ten chickens. My pup just turned a year old so I have more knowledge with younger pups. Can't wait to meet your fur babies! I am a stay at home mom and have flexible availability. I can be there for your fur babies practically whenever you need me! I have better weekday availability, while weekends require planning ahead. Whether you need me to walk your dog, come over to ease their anxiety or simply let them out to potty, I can meet all their needs. Or if you have a high energy dog like my Aussie, I can get some of that energy out by playing with them while you are at work.
“Elizabeth did a great job caring for our two elderly bunnies and two younger cats while we were on vacation! She sent lots of pictures and thorough updates with each visit. We would definitely use her again!”

Beyond that, expect plenty of walks, play sessions, cuddles, and adventures. I genuinely love dogs and treat every pet like my own. As a student, I have a flexible schedule and can accommodate almost any timing mornings, evenings, weekends, you name it. I work around your needs and will always make your pet my top priority. I have a friendly dog at home who loves meeting new friends! When watching pets in your home, you can expect to come back to everything exactly as you left it, if not a little cleaner. I treat every home and pet with the utmost respect and care.
“Jen took great care of my cat, Callie, while I was away. The regular updates and pictures she sent me made it much easier for me to enjoy my trip without worrying about Callie’s wellbeing. Would definitely recommend booking Jen!”

“Bayley was awesome with drop in visits for our dog! She took great care of her, especially responding to her fear of storms, which were plentiful while we were gone. She also quickly accepted our request to extend services after our return flight was cancelled. Highly recommended!”

“Mary went above and beyond to care for our cat. Our cat is very skiddish around new people, but Mary took her time to be patient and let Callie warm up to her. We really appreciated her thoroughness and reliability. Followed all instructions to a tee and provided great daily updates. Highly recommend booking Mary!”

“Donai was exceptional! I knew when she came to meet Alice and Hank and she got on the floor to meet them, and asked for some treats to win them over, that she had already won over my approval. She gave me daily updates and daily pictures. It made me so happy on my trip to both see them, and also see that they were being well cared for and loved. Would definitely book Donai again!!”

About: I’ve grown up with cats and dogs my entire life, and since I was a fairly young child I was taught to be responsible with pets as my mom was a vet tech. I work Thursday 12-5 and 5-10 on Friday/Saturday, so I can easily take dogs on walks in the afternoon during the nicest part of the day on most week days, as well as Sunday! I have my own car and will be super happy to pick up your pup to go on walks, and I have experience with house sitting prior so I am experienced with using alarm systems in homes.

About: I am a dog trainer at Feeders Supply Jeffersonville location. Everything I make from this site will go towards my career. I taught my own personal dog how to walk properly, sit, lay, stay, spin, to say his prayers, as well as many more when I had him! I enjoy any and every animal and breed I also have a few snakes. I request to meet the dog with the owner prior to any commitment to ensure they are comfortable with me. I took off house sitting temporarily due to past houses being unlivable. Anything else you would like to know, I am an open book, please feel free to ask! I currently work full time from home as well as dog training once a week as of now. My husband also works from home so someone is available to monitor at all times! My work schedule will be changing soon, however should have the time to do drop by visits if near by. I have two friendly and playful dogs that could be entertaining, but also know how to be patient when necessary. I also have a baby gate to separate pups, if need be. As of August 2026, there are 552 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Scottsville. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Scottsville. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
