“I can’t say enough good things about these folks. To start, they spent an hour with me and Benny (my pup) in advance of my trip and introduced us to their place. Benny loved the big backyard and I could tell he immediately felt at home. During my trip, I received daily videos of Benny playing with other dogs or being loved on, which made me feel good knowing I was so far away from home. Benny is such a good dog and I am grateful to have connected with people as equally good and loving. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.”
“We loved having Grace keep our Bella girl! She gave up daily pictures and updates. She made sure our girl got lots of play time and outside time. So grateful for someone that treats her puppy visitors like her own!”
“Miller had the best time! Highly recommend Sean and his services. He gives updates and a peace of mind while you’re away! He truly enjoys spending time with your furry friends!”
“Penny and the whole family are super sweet and perfect to watch your dog my dog Sherman warmed up very quickly and even slept with her teenage son. Definitely will use them again because I have busy work weeks at times. Sherman is a bit much sometimes when he sees other dogs a bit reactive but Penny kept an eye on him and never went out without his leash and collar and made sure all dogs weren't out. He had a blast came home and ran around like a puppy again. Will definitely be using her again.”
“Daphne was wonderful! She took Lola as a last minute booking and we couldn't be happier! We received daily picture updates. Lola was treated like a little princess with lots of love! 🩷 Highly recommend Daphne!”
“Eliane was amazing!!! She made us feel so comfortable and provided regular updates with great photos. She took our dog on long walks and spent quality time with her throughout our trip. We couldn’t have asked for a better person to watch our dog!”
“Our Goldendoodles were well taken care of and seemed to have a great time! Lots of pictures and updates so we always knew what was going on. Would definitely leave them here again!”
“Wow! That was a GREAT experience booking our dog Samson with Crystal---she went above and beyond! She sent us multiple pictures and a video, which warmed our hearts.💕 She was so friendly when we dropped him off and picked him up, and we could tell he was very comfortable there by how he acted then and how he was in the video. And the kicker was, he slept in bed with her! You know she is a dog person by that! Thanks Crystal, we will book with you next time!!!”
“Jen was absolutely spectacular. I can’t say enough great things about her and how much care and attention she gave my little one. I am so glad we found her!”
“Patrick was great! Prompt communication and plenty of picture updates on Guthrie, who looked to be having the time of his life. I swear Guthrie was positively beaming when I picked him up! The afterglow remains several days after.”
“Rachael was super responsive and able to take my Lillian for a few days when I had to leave town suddenly. Communication was great throughout the stay with pictures and updates on how Lillian was doing. Rachael took extra time to cook up chicken for Lillian when she was too nervous to eat her kibble. I really appreciate the care Rachael and Pat gave to Lillian and will definitely be reaching out again!”
“This was the first time I let my fur baby stay with someone that I did not know. I read through many of the reviews and selected Kaitlyn as my sitter of choice. She was a great communicator and very accommodating. Her love and passion for dogs was immediately apparent. My dog can take some time to warm up to folks but it did not take long for her to feel right at home with Kaitlyn. She sent me updates daily with pictures of Mae playing, lounging, and being herself. I would highly recommend Kaitlyn to watch your fur baby, unless I need her that week. ?”
“Shunita boarded my puppy and helped nurse him back to health in a time where he needed extra loving, and care just like he was her own! Takes great care and pride in the babies she keeps.”
“Bennae was very accommodating and kind. Chico returned home with the same mannerisms he left with. I will definitely be using Bennae again and would recommend her to anyone looking for a dog sitter. Great experience”
“Sarah and Daniel were great, beginning with the meet and greet til pick up. I received daily pictures of Boone and they were always timely with their responses. I knew Boone was in good hands.”
“Jessica is amazing. When I picked Zeus up, all he wanted to do was sleep. It wasn't till the next day that he had any energy. I will definitely use her again in the future.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Scottsville home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Scottsville.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Scottsville sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
