“Sabrina was so great with our dog Rosie. Rosie suffers from seperation anxiety and is only use to staying with family. Sabrina and her husband were very good initially distracting her when we left but kept her enertained the entire weekend. I would highly recomend her with your dog. She kept my husband and me updated with pictures and vidoes. It really put our mind at ease so we could enjoy our trip.”

About: I have personally cared for dogs for over 30 years. We are a family of five who enjoys and loves our Laberdoodle, Brother. Our family truly loves caring for other dogs as well with walks, playtime, affection, and plenty of rest, making sure they feel safe and comfortable while in our care. Pet care fits very naturally into our daily and weekly routine. I work from home three days a week, and my wife, Shannon, is home full time as a stay at home mom. Our kids are home from school in the afternoons, so there is almost always someone present to give attention, supervision, and care. We are all available throughout the weekends, which allows for plenty of time for walks, play, and companionship. We are very careful, detail oriented, and affectionate in how we care for pets, whether in our home or a client’s home. We follow routines closely, pay attention to each dog’s personality and comfort level, and prioritize safety at all times. We know what it feels like to trust our own dogs to others through Rover, and we take that responsibility seriously. Our goal is for every dog in our care to feel safe, loved, well exercised, and able to rest comfortably.
“Lots of photo and video updates! Sharon & Henry are so kind and the dogs really feel safe with them. The extra love and care to make sure my boys felt safe after we moved here and it was my first time going out of town, made us all feel so much better. 10/10 would recommend booking with them!”

About: I love cats and dogs and will make sure they get lots of attention and that their area is kept clean and tidy so you come home to a nice place! I have 4 cats and 2 dogs so very familiar with what to do. Happy to take care of yours or take your pups on a nice walk😊 I work from my phone so can essentially do anything or be anywhere as needed. “Sara boarded and took care of our 9 month old husky puppy for 5 days while we were out of town. She was so kind and responds quickly. She sent pictures every day showing our girl happy and playing. We would definitely use Sara again and recommend her to anybody!”

“Nikole is an absolute life saver! She sends pictures and videos every day and is so good with the dogs. My dog is so skiddish and Nikole is just so patient and persistent that she was able to make my dog feel safe and at home. Thank you so much! We can’t wait for our next visit!”
“We had such an incredible experience with Geri! We got pictures of what they were doing throughout the day, gave them walks everyday, and fed them nutritious snacks. About: Hi there! I have 3 years of professional experience working at a doggy daycare and hound rescue, along with 6 years of fostering for multiple local shelters and rescues. From playful pups to shy dogs who need a little extra patience, I understand that every pet has their own unique personality and needs. I currently work from home, which means I have plenty of flexibility for frequent potty breaks, walks, playtime, and, of course, lots of cuddles! I also have two small, friendly, and social dogs of my own, so I’m very comfortable caring for dogs and making sure they feel safe and loved. I’m also a mom to a sweet 3-year-old daughter who loves animals and is learning to respect their space and boundaries. I always prioritize everyone’s safety and comfort, and I understand the importance of giving pets a calm, positive environment. Whether your pet needs a fun walking buddy, a cozy place to relax, or extra love while you’re away for the holidays, I’d be happy to help! I know how important it is to trust someone with a member of your family, and I’ll treat your pets with the same love, patience, and care I give my own. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry family members! 🐶💕 I work from home Monday-Thursday and have Friday-Sunday off. I live an active lifestyle and love taking my dogs for hikes. My roommate has two kids that she has 50% of the time. I will confirm with you whether or not they will be around during your pets stay. I have a fenced in back yard with lots of grass and a nice cement patio perfect for sun bathing. There are a ton of dog beds throughout the house for nap time. Your pet is welcome to sleep in bed with me during bed time.
“Aguarin was so great with Rocky! I loved getting pictures and updates while he was away. They treated Rocky like their own which made me feel at ease while he was with them. Would definitely recommend and am so happy we chose them during our time away from our fur baby.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Scottsville home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Scottsville.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Scottsville sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
