About: Hi there! My name is Sharon and I PAWS (pause) and gasp every time I see a cute dog... (which is every time I see a dog since all dogs are so cute). I love all types of dogs and get super excited when I see one! Throughout the years, I've gained experience taking care of dogs of all sizes and ages. I love getting to spend quality time with them and getting to know their personalities. As a dog lover, I love getting to spend quality time with any dog. My favorite activities include walks, playing fetch, going to the dog park, and just hanging out while giving great head scratches. I aim to create a fun, comfortable, and loving environment for every dog of every size! I work as a therapist and mostly have availability on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays; however, I sometimes have additional openings during the week which are reflected in my calendar. I start the day by feeding the dogs, letting them rest a bit, and then taking them on a walk outside to get some fresh air. Throughout the day, I continue to interact and play with them, and finish off the day with time spent outdoors followed by dinner.
“Shileen is excellent. It was quite obvious that our German Shepherd got attached to her quickly. Since she has two dogs of her own, she related to Gabby in no time at all. She played catch with her, walked around the properly with her, and updated us with photos daily. I felt very comfortable leaving my dog under her care. I will be requesting her dog sitting services again.”

About: I’ve raised puppies, kittens, baby birds, chickens and various other animals, I’ve also had experience working on a dog farm and groomed various types of breeds. I’m available for part-time work and am flexible when it comes to scheduling. I am open to working Monday-Sun as long as it’s planned at least a week in advance. I have a fenced large yard with two separate deck areas, I am open to bringing the pets over and housing them or going to a clients house and pet sitting, walking or even bathing if needed in a comfortable and familiar place for the pet.
“Had to leave our cats for about a week. Just asked for a daily check-in and feeding. Also did ask for her to try to give our little girl Mei a daily pill. We figured Mei would disappear and give her no chance. But she got her her medicine every day except for the first day. Impressive. Also cleaned up some cat sick. Very happy. And cats seemed very happy.”

“Leilani did an amazing job! We really appreciate her flexibility and communication especially during Christmas week. Our pups love her and we have full trust she will watch them with care and compassion. Thank you Leilani”

About: I have several years of hands-on experience caring for my own Beagle, who is friendly, well-socialized, and accustomed to living with people. Through daily walks, feeding, training reinforcement, grooming, and routine health care, I’ve learned how to provide a safe, structured, and loving environment for dogs. My home is a clean, smoke-free single-family house with a secure fenced backyard where dogs can safely play and relax. I only accept a limited number of dogs at a time so that every guest receives plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. I understand that every dog has a unique personality and routine. Whether your dog enjoys playtime, quiet naps, or extra cuddles, I’ll follow your care instructions carefully and provide regular photo and video updates so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. I have a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, so my background is closely connected to health, medications, biology, and careful observation. My training has made me very attentive to details such as changes in appetite, energy level, behavior, hydration, and daily routine, and I am comfortable following detailed care instructions, including medication schedules when needed. This scientific background naturally carries over into how I care for pets—I tend to notice small changes, keep routines consistent, and take safety and wellbeing seriously. I have a flexible schedule and spend plenty of time at home, so pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I already care for my own friendly Beagle and provide regular walks, potty breaks, feeding, playtime, and supervision throughout the day. I am available for boarding on both weekdays and weekends, with flexible drop-off and pick-up times. My home is clean, quiet, and dog-friendly, with a fully fenced backyard that I specifically designed with my dog in mind. I wanted him to have a safe and comfortable outdoor space for potty breaks, playtime, exploring, and relaxing, so the backyard was planned to be both secure and easy for dogs to enjoy under supervision. I understand how important routine and a comfortable environment are, especially when a dog is staying somewhere unfamiliar. Dogs are never left outside unattended and always have access to fresh water, cozy indoor spaces, and plenty of attention. I treat every dog like part of the family and communicate regularly with owners through updates, photos, and videos. Please let me know about your dog’s daily routine, feeding schedule, potty schedule, energy level, personality, and any medical needs or behavioral concerns. For everyone’s safety and comfort, I prefer dogs that are friendly with other dogs since I have a male Beagle at home. My home is clean, quiet, and pet-friendly, with a fully fenced backyard where dogs can safely enjoy supervised outdoor time. I have a friendly, well-socialized Beagle, so I understand the importance of keeping pets comfortable and maintaining a consistent routine. Dogs are never left outside unattended and always have access to fresh water, cozy indoor spaces, and plenty of attention. About: My pet care experience began when I started living with my uncle as a teenager. Back in the Philippines, he would rescue puppies and keep them in the house until he could find them a foster home. After school, I would go straight home and take care of the rescues. I would feed them and keep them hydrated, and then take them out for a walk. I also taught them tricks until they could master it without treats. I strongly believed that training is an essential part of their growth. When I moved here, I adopted Astrid as a puppy and she has been with me for 3 years now. My main skills with pets includes strict attention to time management, understanding their behaviors, and attending to their needs. Other skills include having patience, clear communication with owners, being on time, and being responsible with the duties given. I currently work part-time as a cook in a nursing home. On my days off, I usually stay at home either on my computer or take my dog to play outside. I have a lot of leisure time on these days, and I believe that pet sitting will fulfill these times and keep me busy. In my home, I ensure that my dog sleeps and naps comfortably when tired. I make sure that there’s food for her and water always refilled. I keep my dog active by walking around the neighborhood and going to the playground. I also play the guitar and sing songs to her when there is nothing else to do. When she wants to go outside, I let her run free in the backyard surrounded with fences and have a shaded area for her when it gets too hot. I would also leave the door open in case she wants a colder environment which is inside the house. In a client’s home, I would ensure that their pets are well fed and hydrated. If there is an accident, I would willingly be responsible for that and take care of it. I would make sure that their pets are also being engaged in activities so that they would feel less bored when the parents aren’t home.
“Sabrina was amazing!! This is our first time having a pet sitter come into our home, and she made us feel so comfortable. She was on top of it with all the questions and concerns with each animals schedule, (Food, water, medication, potty breaks, etc). Any changes in the daily plans she promptly let us know. She sent daily pictures which is always comforting to know your babies are safe and happy. We can’t wait for her to come back and watch our critters again!! :)”

About: There is no furry friend that I do no enjoy being around! I've had the opportunity to love and care for many different animals since I was very young. The last couple years I have fostered kittens and have been able to see more than 20 beautiful babies go to their furrever homes! I have owned, and taken care of dogs of all ages and sizes my entire life. I am able to give medication through injections, and am not shy with training either! My dream is to one day run an animal sanctuary for hurt and endangered animals. Sunday- Saturday 8am- 8pm I have an open schedule and would love to spend it with your animals! Don't hesitate to message me. I can work with whatever plans needed. I offer house sitting/pet sitting and dog walking. For both services I will be going to your home to either care for animals, or pick them up for a walk around your neighborhood. I look forward to seeing the next animal as it is always a special experience.
About: My whole life, my family, and I have always had pets in our home from spiders, lizards, iguanas, frogs, snakes, birds (including wild, pigeons), fish, gerbils, rabbits, cats, and dogs. I grew up being around extended family members who have had other pets such as monkeys, horses, goats, sheep and chickens, to name a few. 😂 🙈🐶🦋🐷🦄🐐🐾🐍🐸🐱🐇🐭🐹🐿️🫏 As a child, I would rescue injured animals and take them home and nurse them back to health so I could set them free or give them forever home, if they couldn’t go back to the wild. I’ve always loved animals, and my passion has always been dogs and horses. I currently have four kids (dogs) in my home ages 5 to 13 years and ranging from 8 pounds to 65 pounds. My kids and I enjoy having visitors so we can meet new friends and play. I do not work or have any other obligations so caring for your kids is my number one priority! I am able to give them lots of love and attention throughout the day. We spend the majority of the day playing either in the house or outside. Throughout the day, I spend alone time with each dog so I can get to know your dog and understand their personality. This is some of the best time of the day because this is where we build our relationship and respect. 🥰🤗 Why use Rove? Please see Rover Guarantee on the website or in the app. Rover also verify dog sitters identity and runs a background checks. Why use Tammy H? Safety first: I read all dog’s profiles prior to accepting any booking and usually complete a meet and greet in my home! I separate dogs during feeding and treat time, so most dogs who visit are crate trained. (food and treats are provided by the owners). My front yard and backyard are fully fenced independently. 4 foot and 6 foot respectively. We have baby gates throughout the home for the dogs safety. If your dog is crate trained, please bring the crate. If your dog is not crate trained, they can stay in the office/dog room on the bed or the floor in small beds.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Scottsville
Chelsea took wonderful care of our two cats while we were away for a week. She provided twice a day feedings, which included medicating our senior cat, she played “fetch” with our junior cat that lives for treats, and for us she sent informative updates and fabulous photos of them both, and so much more! Chelsea’s compassion and kindness, and her integrity and reliability are the reason for this 5-star rating. We cannot thank Chelsea enough for watching our girls and we look forward to seeing Chelsea again in the future!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .

This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
