About: Hi there! I’m Justine — a super friendly, animal-loving pet sitter with 8 years of veterinary assistant experience. 🐾 I am new to Rover. Just moved here to North Carolina recently! I have a deep passion for caring for pets of all shapes, sizes, and ages — from playful puppies to senior companions needing a little extra love. I share my home with 3 dogs and 2 cats of my own, so I truly understand how much your pets mean to you — they’re family, and I’ll treat them like my own. With my vet background, I’m very comfortable giving medications (oral, topical, or injectable), handling special needs pets, and understanding animal behavior. Whether your pet is anxious, high-energy, or shy, I’ll make sure they feel safe and cared for. You can count on me for: ✔️ Reliable, loving care ✔️ A calm, experienced hand for nervous pets ✔️ Updates with photos and messages to give you peace of mind ✔️ Lots of playtime, snuggles, and personalized attention I look forward to meeting your furry family and being someone you can trust again and again! I do currently work full time throughout the week in Huntersville and generally have weekends off. I am off Tuesday’s as well. I am flexible and starting to save for radiology school. When caring for pets in their home, my goal is to keep them feeling safe, loved, and comfortable by maintaining their regular routine as closely as possible. 🦴 For drop-ins, I’ll make sure your pet is fed on schedule, has fresh water, gets a potty break or litter box cleaned, and gets one-on-one attention through play, snuggles, or quiet companionship — whatever they enjoy most. 🐾 For dog walks, I focus on safe, fun, and enriching walks that match your dog’s pace and energy level. I always watch for signs of stress, avoid unsafe areas or encounters, and make sure they come home happy and tired. 🏡 For house sitting, I provide full-time love and supervision, keeping your pet’s day-to-day life as normal as possible — meals, walks, play, medication if needed, and bedtime routines. I also respect and care for your home like it’s my own: clean, secure, and neat when you return. With 8 years of experience as a veterinary assistant, I’m very comfortable with pets of all ages and medical needs, including giving medications and recognizing early signs of illness or stress. I always send regular updates with photos so you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands

“Kelsey did a great job taking care of our cats while we were out of town. She was very responsive when we updated her with tips and last minute concerns with our cats. She updated us with pictures and made sure each of our cats was doing well while we were away. We will definitely be trusting Kelsey to care for our pets in the future.”

“We were very satisfied with Desaree’s service in taking care of our 3 cats while we were away for a few days. She was super reliable and loved on them, and even sent pics. She also did a great job with the cat litter and feeding. We highly recommended her to anyone needing above and beyond attention to their fur babies!”

“Bo is always great with my cat Bean. He is a rescue and can be bitey when stressed, but Bo is able to connect with him and form a bond that he desperately needs when I am away from home for a week or so at a time. Bean is a really social cat, compared to previous cats I've had, and Bo is great at listening to what Bean needs each visit and communicating how he is doing when I check in. Also really great at pictures! It's always great to be able to check in with the photos later when I am 5 hours ahead and missed a check in, to see a silly photo of my cat playing.”

About: I run my own farm so I know a thing or two about responsibility & care when it comes to animals. My pets are family to me and while you’re away I’ll be sure to love and care for your babies the exact way you’d like me to! Thanks for considering me. Caring for animals is my life as I operate my own farm. My husband and I have 2 dogs and a cat as well as livestock, so I am very experienced with all sorts of animals and have owned many of these wonderful creatures my entire life! Farming is part time, the rest of my time I’d dedicate to your pets. Leave me specific details to follow and I will treat your furry friend like family. I can visit your home, go for walks, brush, hang out, play, whatever is their favorite routine!

“Alex checked in on my two cats, Luna and Gizmo while we were away for a week. She did a great job and sent pictures and updates every day. Luna is very skittish, but she slowly came out of her shell for Alex throughout the week which is awesome.”

About: I’ve taken care of 3 dogs since I was born. They all came with their own unique challenges, and I’m currently undergoing many challenges with my newest puppy who is around 6 months old. Dogs are some of my favorite animals and I seem to have a bond with just about any dog I meet. I love dogs and I treat them with the utmost kindness and love that I have, they make me feel so happy, were it not for my own dog I may not be here. At the moment I’m working part-time around 20-30 hours a week so I typically have plenty of free time before 2-3pm on days that I do work. If I’m not scheduled for the day then I have all day free. I’m VERY experienced in tug of war, fetch, and even cuddles. I can accommodate myself to whatever your fur baby/babies need, I’m very patient, and I fully understand that every puppy has various different needs.

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was 16. Friends, neighbors, friends, and family have relied on me to walk, feed and take care of their pets! I am currently a college student available Thursday evenings thru Sundays. I have plenty of free time on the weekends to play with your pets. I am open to housesitting or stopping in for visits. I am able to care for your pet by taking them on frequent walks, playing with them inside or out, and treating them as I would my own pet!

Madison A.Star Sitter

“Madison did a great job taking care of our cats. Everything went smoothly and communication was great. Would definitely hire her again in the future.”

Payton D.
“Payton is a very responsible young lady. She is truly an animal lover, mine love when she comes to take care of them in our home. Cats and dogs, one cat on 3 meds twice a day. She feeds, cleans boxes, and dog pen, and gives love and playtime to the crew. She even has our permission to take them to the vet if needed, and is ok with doing that. I never have to worry about the animals and the house with her watching over things.”

Alaina R.

“Thanks Alaina! I really appreciate you taking care of my cats for a day with little notice when my regular Petsitter was unavailable. I’ll call on you again in the future!”

Isabella & Joseph H.

“This dynamic duo is the best pet sitters I have ever hired. Completely professional with great communication. They will be getting all of my future business, and my cats will be grateful for that.”

Natalie I.
“Natalie always watches my dog, Fish. As a military member it is hard to leave your fur babies behind and sometimes on such notice! She understands and always works with my busy schedule. Fish knows her name and gets so excited when we say we’re going to her house!!! Thank you for always taking care of my baby when something pulls me away. It is such a relief to know we have her to help out with a member of our family!”

Justin C.

“He took such good care of our little Diva. He went above and beyond. Now our go to sitter.”

Brittanie H.
“Brittanie has watched my two cats, Daisy and Louie, on more than one occasion when my family heads out onto a vacation. She is phenomenal with them. She always sends me videos and pictures to let me know that they are perfectly fine which definitely gives me a good piece of mind that they're safe and in good hands. I trust her more than anybody else with my animals. My animals are just like my babies and they mean the world to me. Having somebody who loves them just as much as me and takes care of them the way she does really calms my nerves. She's also really easy to book and really flexible. Her pricing is also super affordable compared to others nearby. I highly recommend her for any pet needs. Also I don't know if this is something she offers with all clients, but she's also done some light housekeeping while she lookwas here taking care of my kitties. Daisy and Louie are extremely mischievous and like to knock about everything in the house down. And she did not have to clean it up! I told her to just leave it be and I will get it when we come back home but she went ahead and helped and cleaned up their messes. As well as repot plants that they knocked over. This took a lot of stress off of us when we came back home. I can't tell you how nice it was to just be able to relax after a vacation and not worry about everything. If this is something you need also, definitely message her and ask about what she can do and her pricing. Nobody wants to come back from a vacation or work to hungry or cranky cats or a mess. We have since added a new member to the family which is our Shih Tzu name Georgie. When are we going on vacation, if he is not able to come with us, nobody else comes to mind besides Brittanie to watch him. He's very needy and does not like to be alone and he is the equivalent of my third child so trusting him with somebody like Brittanie means the world!”
