About: I’ve been around animals my whole life, of all shapes and sizes. I love all animals. I’ve grown up with hunting dogs, big dogs, farm animals, and cats. I am always willing to go for midday lunch walks or weekend check ins while you are out and about being social (in the Ankeny/Polk City area). My boyfriend works blue collar, so sometimes I have a lot of time to myself while he’s working, I’d love to fill in with walks at night or weekends in the Highland Park/Saylor/Beaverdale areas. Some nights he may even join if he’s home. We have a two dogs of our own that could join, pending your permission of course. I am always very cautious when going in for my furry friends for walks, making sure they are safe. I’m full of love and attention and energy to burn so I’d love a buddy. I’ve worked with highly trained dogs, and will honor any and all training your dogs follows.

About: Born, raised, and still a dog lover! I have had Border Collies, a Labrador, Scottie Dogs and now the proud owner of a squirrel and rabbit chasing Beagle! I currently work part time and from home, so I have plenty of time to devote to your pet! I take Mia (our beagle) for long walks everyday. Everyone is welcome to come along! Our apartment requires key-card access to three doors before successful entry. Numerous toys on demand, super dog-tastic biscuits and treats on tap, plus dog spa and bath if permitted!

“Brianna is very responsive and on time. I requested to change the time from what I originally requested and she was able to. Which was an earlier time then requested. I received pictures of my dog from her after the walk was completed. Zox seemed to enjoy getting the attention from someone other then me.”

“Trusting someone with your dog can be hard but Kay-lea has made it very easy. Super friendly and professional! She treats my dog like her own, and that is unbeatable. Highly recommend.”

About: Hi there! I’m Angeline, a lifelong dog lover and proud dog mom to a 2.5-year-old corgi named Archie. He’s full of personality and pretty much my shadow—we go just about everywhere together! Whether it’s park playdates, a local brewery, walks or relaxing at home, I know how important it is to give dogs the care, attention, and affection they deserve. As someone who truly understands the bond between people and their pups, I’ll treat your dog like one of my own. I’m excited to meet your furry family member and make them feel safe, loved, and at home while you’re away! As a full-time professional and proud corgi mom to my 2.5-year-old pup, I understand how important it is to find reliable, loving care for your dog. Pet care naturally fits into my daily routine—I’m used to walks, playtime, and all the tail wags! I’m available most evenings and weekends, and I’d love to help care for your furry friend like one of my own. Please check my calendar for current availability! I have a corgi that loves all dogs! Whether I am in your home or your animal is with me, I can guarantee they will feel comfortable and safe. I will make sure your animal is receiving the care they need that fits their regular routine.

About: I have lots of experience with dogs of all ages (my corgi, Vinnie had some back and hip issues at the end of his life) and all sizes. I grew up with labs and had my corgi for nearly 10 years. I have helped friends and family care for their dogs over the past 20 years. While I have not cared for strangers’ dogs, I love every pet I come into contact with like family and treat them as such. I have also recently volunteered with the ARL which gave me experience caring for many different breeds and varying needs. I work from home and would care for your pet throughout the day! I am willing to do long and short walks, or just play with your pet! Playing, cuddles, walks, potty breaks, whatever they need! I am very good at recognizing the tells for various dogs. I can usually tell when they need to go outside, need water or are anxious. I will adjust to what the dogs need and am a very open communicator. My house is clean, and safe for pets. I do have stairs in my home, but am willing to work with dogs who need additional support.

About: As a dog lover (foster mom, volunteer, animal activist and vegan, as well) I will provide your precious pup with tender loving care. Being a dog mom myself, I know the importance of having strong communication and trust in those who are caring for your dog. I'm looking forward to making your pup feel as 'at home' as can be while you are away! My experience with dogs in shelters, dog sitting for friends/neighbors, and being a dog mom for 22 years, in addition to being raised in a family that adored dogs, I have a soft spot for each and every furry, 4-legged pooch. My Rover journey started in 2018, but I was actively fostering dogs through Underdog MN in Minneapolis and didn't have the space to also take on Rover clients. Then, there was the series of events: Pandemic, had my baby, and moved out of state so my OFFICIAL Rover journey is still very new, but I've enjoyed each pet that has visited us. Hope to meet your pet very soon! I currently work remotely and enjoy taking time throughout the day to provide pet care! My schedule is flexible and I can adjust according to what's needed. I have a fenced in and very spacious backyard! I follow all safety instructions from each family to ensure animals stay safe and are always supervised.

About: Hello, I am Nicole! I’ve been around dogs my entire life, and I’ve always had an overwhelming love for dogs. I grew up with a Yellow Lab and a Husky, and now have a Yellow Lab and two German Shepherds of my own. I don’t have kids, so they are my entire world! We use Rover when we are out of town and absolutely love our dog sitter! I understand how stressful it is to leave your dog, so I am happy to do whatever I can to help you and your dog feel comfortable while you’re away. :) My aunt and uncle were dog breeders, so I grew up around all different types of dogs, ages, and sizes. I would help walk, feed, train, and play with the dogs/puppies at their dog farm. I also have watched many neighbors/family/friends dogs. I love going for walks and if you live in Ankeny you may have seen me walking around with my dogs! :) I love spending time with animals and I am very kind and loving. Having experience with a variety of different dogs - I understand that each dog has different personalities, temperaments, and needs. I will take the time to get to know and understand your dog and care for them like they are my own! I have knowledge and experience with medication administration/shots and different medical conditions. (My 13 y/o Lab has seizures/bad allergies, so I have a lot of experience giving medication to dogs.) I have experience caring for multiple dogs at a time and with dogs of all ages - from puppies to elderly. Please let me know if your dog has any medical condition, allergies, special needs/quirks, is reactive, nervous, etc. so I can do to make your dog comfortable and safe while you’re away. I also love cats and would be happy to care for your cat too! :) I have experience caring for multiple cats, but just not as much as experience as I do with dogs. I am very organized person, so any instructions needed to care for your dog/cat and home are welcome! I would love to do a meet and greet before caring for your dog/cat, so that your pet is comfortable with me. I am a Registered Nurse, and I work 2-3 days a week. My schedule is extremely flexible, so just let me know what your needs are and we can figure out what works best! :) I will treat your pet and home as my own. I spend most of my time with my dogs. We love to go for walks, play ball, swimming, spend time outside, hide and seek, car rides, dog puzzles/stimulation, and getting all the pets and love. My husband and I don’t have kids, so we spoil and love our dogs as if they were our kids. :)

About: As a dog mama myself, I understand that our dogs are more than just our pets. They’re an integral part of our family! I strive to provide them with the necessary care they need, but also the enrichment they need to thrive and live a happy life. I love to play with them, take them out for walks, and provide them with love and pets. It’s important to me that they are not just physically cared for, but they are mentally stimulated through play and emotionally cared for at every visit. I'm always mindful that all pets should be greeted with a slow introduction, that does not come off as intrusive, or threatening. Even the most social pets, can behave differently when an unfamiliar person enters their home while family is not present. I always take that into consideration upon each visit, as I get to know your dog/cat, and build a trusting relationship. Whether your pet goes out on a leash, uses a fenced in yard, or requires potty pads to go to the bathroom, I'll follow your instructions as discussed through the Rover app, or during our initial "meet and greet". Requested information about your pet -Medication schedule -Behavioral issues that may affect walking your pet on public sidewalks, history of biting or aggression while being fed. -Ongoing medical conditions -Vet number and/or emergency contact I currently work on a hybrid schedule - 3 days in West Des Moines and 2 days at home in Ankeny. I have a flexible schedule where I can pop around to your pet when needed. I have a heart for animals along with the patience needed to give quality pet care. Your pet will always come first and I would treat them as if they are my own.

About: Hi there! I’m Austin. I have two cats that are the center of my world. I know how stressful it can be finding a sitter that you trust to give them the best care while you are away. I promise to care for your pets as my own and provide a ton of photos! I work Full-Time Monday-Friday. My hours are typically 8-5 so I am available before work and after work. Weekends are usually free so I am flexible. It depends on the needs of the pet/ owner but my promise is to keep both you and your pet happy! I know what it’s like to miss them!

About: My family has had weimeraner dogs while I was growing up and I have had my dog for 2 years now. We can go for walks or possibly visit the dog park if that is ok. During the week, we go to the dog park multiple times. We play a lot in the house and she likes to lounge on the deck in the fenced-in backyard. I have a fenced in backyard and a small doggie door so that the dogs can go in and out at their leisure when they have to go potty.

About: I've had animals my entire life! I have experience in puppy training, senior care, post surgery care, dogs of all sizes, bathing, nail trims for cats and dogs, and administering medication. I'm currently working part time, so I have a lot of flexibility with my schedule. I'm available during the day, weekends and most evenings too! I have a fenced in yard with lots of room to run around. I also live right by a park with a nice walking path. My current dog is allowed on our couches, sleeps in our bed, and doesn't need a crate. I love to take my dog on walks and play tug of war, or play fetch with him!

Angeline P.
“I cannot recommend Angeline enough. Not only is she the most devoted and loving dog mother I have ever met, but she is also the most sincere and responsible individual when it comes to pet care in general. I once needed my two dogs watched for a week, while I was away on a business trip, and she graciously watched them with attentive and loving care. She kept me updated every single moment they would go outside, be fed, and played. She would send numerous pictures throughout the day and I never once felt worried about their safety as I knew they were in great hands. She did more than the minimum and spent up to hours playing outside and enaured they would safely eat their food. She allowed adequate time for bathroom breaks and even stayed extra to ensure they were comfortable before leaving. Overall, I cannot express how amazing Angeline Powers is at caring for pets and how she will treat them as if they are her own!”

Kayla G.Star Sitter
“Kayla is such a wonderful & reliable person! She's taken care of our 2 dogs on multiple occasions. She is so loving and caring towards the dogs! She spends her time actually interacting with them; it's not just a job to her. My dogs always get super excited when she comes over. I never have to worry about them getting lonely while we are out of town if Kayla is watching over them! She is great at verifying and asking questions if needed. I highly recommend Kayla!”

Meagan N.Star Sitter
“Meagan is like a sanctuary for dogs. For the entire time I have known her, Meagan has had a dog and also volunteered to walk dogs at the local shelter. Her heart is with the canine world, and she is absolutely the first person I would ask to take care of my dog when I am out of town. I cannot speak highly enough of Meagan. She is an amazing and compassionate person who would take excellent care of other’s pets!”

Nicole G.
“I have known Nicole her whole life! She is an animal lover through and through. Your pets will be treated like kids. She has watched my two fur babies numerous times. I never have to worry when she watches them because they are in the best care possible. She has three dogs of her own that are great with other dogs as well and she is very accommodating to making sure they acclimate to each other. Whenever I have pup questions she is my go to person. 10/10 recommend Nicole to watch your pups!”
