“This was our second time working with Nichole and we just adore how she takes care of our cats and plays with them. Her rover report cards and communication is great at easing anxiety when we go on our trips.”

“Sierra has been absolutely wonderful with our dogs. She’s very kind and keeps us very up to date with how they’re doing. Not to mention she’s gone the extra mile cleaning up after one of our pups who has been getting sick in the house. We’re very happy with her service and will continue hiring her!”

“Shelli, thank you for accepting a last minute request for a drop-in when I had a cancelation the last 2 days. It looks like Leo enjoyed his time with you as well. Im so glad it all worked out. I appreciate you very very much! Leo is also very thankful for the hugs and treats! I would definitely love to book you again in the near future. :)”

“Flor is absolutely the sweetest! Our picky fur babies opened up to her quickly! I reached out to Flor very short notice and the whole meet/greet and visit went far smoother than the day trip my husband and I had lol Thank you, Miss Flor!”

“Robyn was great. We got stranded by weather circumstances and she continued to visit our pets until we could get home two days later. Competent and efficient and the kitties were happy and purring upon our return”

“April was amazing! From the moment I met her she was so nice and energetic of taking care of my fur babies! She followed directions, was on time, was respectful, and took pictures of my babies while on vacation. She gave me a comfort during my time away that they were in good hands. Definetly recommend and will book again in the future 😊”

“AnnaMaria did a wonderful job dropping in on my cat, Mr. Steve. Prompt, trustworthy, and super helpful with last minute adjustments. Everything went smoothly from start to finish! Would book again.”

About: Growing up my house looked like a zoo at some points having dogs, cats, birds, turtles, rabbits and more. I took on the role of caregiver to my furry and non furry friends from a young age, having been born with a love for animals. I mainly have experience working with the standard dog and cat, feeding, bathing, walking, and administering oral medications for both. Along with my personal experience I also have professional experience as a Kennel Technician for an animal clinic and boarding facility taking care of animals staying overnight. I have experience and am comfortable with working with all dog sizes and breeds, including elderly pups or young puppies. The same goes for cats any size, shape, breed, or age am I comfortable and confident in caring for your four legged friend. I am working towards finishing my Bachelors degree, so some classes are online leaving my schedule flexible. I understand leaving your baby in the care of someone else can be scary and nerve racking, however as a pet parent myself strive to create an environment that is safe and secure for both your fur baby and you. All animals deserve patience and gentleness as I extend my high standard of care onto any animal I encounter. I have lived my life as a vegan/vegetarian in dedication to not harming animals in my moral representation of my respect toward other living beings. I hope I can be given the opportunity to show respect and kindness to your fur baby.
“Loretta is absolutely amazing! She took amazing care of my babies, even while she is expecting a baby of her own :). She made sure the dogs were walked, fed and watered, and played with :). She even went out of her way to brush them, and tidy the house up everyday! Loretta is a complete package if you are looking for someone to take care of your fur babies! Thank you Loretta for making my time away from them, completely stress free.”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Sayers. On Rover:
- 88% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
