“Amanda is fantastic! She was communicative, on time and we could tell from the pictures that McCoy enjoyed his time with her. Thank you Amanda, we hope to book with you again!”

About: With a background as a vet tech with over four years of experience, I offer exceptional pet care, specializing in training puppies and providing attentive care for senior pets. My skills include medical knowledge, and ensuring comprehensive and specialized attention. This, combined with open communication and a genuine passion for animals, sets me apart as a highly qualified and compassionate pet sitter. I have my pup, who is a 15-year-old senior dog, but have had him since he was 4 months old. With that said, I'm comfortable dealing with energetic pups and their zoomies, and elderly pups that may require more hands-on attention, medical needs, or special care during my visit. Do your pups have special dietary needs or restrictions? Mine too! So I understand the importance of attention to detail when it comes to your pet's needs. I'm currently working part-time during the week, so I'm able to attend to your pet's needs when you can't. On weekends, I have more availability to help your four-legged friends. In both my home and clients' homes, I prioritize safety through meticulous hazard checks and secure spaces. Trust-building is fundamental, and achieved through consistent routines, open communication, and personalized care. I ensure environmental comfort with clean, cozy spaces, and familiar items. Adhering to established routines, maintaining open communication, and preparing for emergencies contribute to a secure and positive pet care experience.
“She came immediately during my last minute booking and went above and beyond for my pups! She’s a dog whisperer, I highly recommend her to anybody who needs pet services!”

“Emma was absolutely wonderful! Super sweet to my puppy & so patient. She gave me great tips as a new dog owner and was very communicative! Would definitely recommend!”

“April had great communication and was very flexible with our schedule! She came to a meet and greet with our dogs before hand and had an amazing attitude. We really did feel at ease leaving our dogs in her care specially during the holidays!”

About: I grew up with two medium sized dogs who are now seniors, and I’ve taken care of large energetic dogs as well. There is a large range of breeds and sizes that I’ve dealt with and loved! I’m currently a full time student three days a week, so I have plenty of time for pet sitting for the large majority of the week. I am able to take care of your pets from the comfort of their own home. I’m able to become familiar with the environment they’re comfortable in and keep them out of places they’re not supposed to get into!
“Did a fantastic job dealing with my two high energy knuckle heads! Got along really well with my boys from the start and gave prompt picture and text updates, and even gave my boys some extra time to socialize and play. Highly recommend her!”

“Such a kind and professional sitter! Sent great pictures and updates throughout her time with my pets, made it easy and comfortable to be away from them for the first time. Overall went above and beyond for my boys and I am so thankful! Would definitely recommend and would absolutely book with her again ☺️”

“Flor is absolutely the sweetest! Our picky fur babies opened up to her quickly! I reached out to Flor very short notice and the whole meet/greet and visit went far smoother than the day trip my husband and I had lol Thank you, Miss Flor!”

“Lindsay has been wonderful with our puppy! She is following what we asked of her and we couldn’t be more pleased with her! We get updates as to what they did and how my pup was! You can’t go wrong with Lindsay!!”
About: I have ten years of pet sitting experience, a year of Kennel Tech experience, and have had pets of my own practically since birth. What can I say? I love animals! Your pet will be cared for exactly the way you would if you were home! Instructions are meticulously followed and lots of love is given to ensure your fur baby is as comfortable and safe as possible.
“Sierra has been absolutely wonderful with our dogs. She’s very kind and keeps us very up to date with how they’re doing. Not to mention she’s gone the extra mile cleaning up after one of our pups who has been getting sick in the house. We’re very happy with her service and will continue hiring her!”

About: I’ve always had pets my entire life and have a deep love for all animals! I’ve worked in vet kennels and often take care of friends and family’s pets. I’m comfortable around all breeds and any temperament of cat. Happy to help with baths and nail trimmings as well! I have a remote job so I’m available to visit anytime! If needed, I’m able to work from your home to spend time with your furry loves or drop in a few times a day if you prefer. Wednesdays between 9am-12pm are the only times I must be in office but I’m flexible any other day or time! Im comfortable following any and all directions for your pet. Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Sayers. On Rover:
- 88% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
