1. August S.

“August was a wonderful caregiver to our 2 mid-sized labrador mix dogs, one 12yrs, one 6yrs. August slept in our home during our family's wk long vacation. They provided several walks a day, fed, medicated and supported a relaxing, consistent environment for our beloved pups. Our older dog required medical support while in Augusts' care. August maintained conversation, with health updates with our veterinarian and myself which allowed me peace of mind while we were traveling. August was able to set up and manage playdates and excursions with our friends for our 2 pups. August left our home and our pups in perfect shape and I was very grateful for their presence. I highly recommend August and will absolutely use them again.”

“Dana is extremely reliable! We recently moved out of town and she was still willing to occasionally come out and watch our boys. It means a lot to us to have a consistent sitter for the dogs when we are away!”

8. Brittany D.
About: I’ve had pets my whole life. As an adult, I have pet sit dogs and cats. I have experience with cats and dogs of all ages. I have raised both of my dogs from a young age, and I trained both of them. One of my dogs is currently an elder, so I know how much extra tlc they need. I currently work from home, so I can be home all day with your babies if they need it. I have a dog park on property, so they can have frequent breaks and off leash running time. I have a dog park on property, and I have two kennels. One medium and one large. I also have a baby gate that can be put up to keep anyone apart if necessary.

9. Lauren P.

“First time using Rover, and we found Lauren. Glad we did. We had her come over and meet the dogs. They all approved so we had her come back for a night of 'baby'sitting. Lauren showed up at the exact time discussed, and addressed each dog by name when they greeted her at the door. We hung out for a little bit and could see how comfortable she was with them, and they with her. First time my wife and I were able to leave the house together for more than 4 hours. Thank you, Lauren.”

10. Cole W.

“Cole stayed at my house with the dog and cats for the weekend and they were well taken care of while I was away. I would definitely rebook him if I need someone to stay over while I’m away.”

DESERT72563, https://www.rover.com/sit/desert72563 Incorporating pet care into my daily or weekly routine involves tasks such as feeding, grooming, exercise, and companionship. Setting aside specific times each day for feeding and play/exercise sessions, schedule regular grooming sessions based on my pet's needs, and ensuring to spend quality time bonding with my pet. It's also important to factor in veterinarian appointments, cleaning up after my pet, and providing mental stimulation through training or enrichment activities. 1. Exercise and Playtime: Engage pets in regular exercise and play sessions to keep them physically and mentally stimulated. Brush their fur regularly, trim their nails when necessary, and keep their ears and teeth clean. 4. 13. Heather W.

“Heather was wonderful with our senior dog, Pippin. Though he doesn't have a complex routine to follow, he's a quirky guy that likes to be VERY close to his person, is forgetful, and sometimes barky due to his age. Heather "got" Pippin right away. We felt she genuinely understood his habits and his singular approach to life. Heather sent just the right amount of updates and photos. Pippin was in good hands with Heather. We are very grateful to her and highly recommend her!”

14. Mariana R.

“We took a leap of faith and asked Mariana to stay in our home while we were away for a week. We knew that our dog would be nervous and perhaps even aggressive if we had used a kennel or taken him outside of his familiar living environment without us. Even though Sparrow is the most loving and cuddly dog who absolutely loves people, he was born with a fearful temperament and then the pandemic shut-downs significantly limited his human and animal social interactions, so we knew he needed more familiar care by someone who understands dogs. Sparrow’s introduction to Mariana went so well and we were able to see how well she interacted with and understood our dog’s behaviors in our house and on a training walk we took, so we knew if anyone could care for our dog while we were away, Mariana would be successful. And she was! She took wonderful care of Sparrow and our house. She sent photo and video updates daily and was in frequent communication. It is not easy to leave your pet behind or your house in someone else’s care, but we had a very good experience and were grateful we put our trust in Mariana. Our house was left in good order. Mariana is very trustworthy. Sparrow was happy when we came home and although he wasn’t a totally different dog overnight, we could see a change in how he looked to us for direction and knew that he was much more ready and able to defer to our directions. In the weeks following Mariana’s stay, we continued to employ her suggestions and one of Sparrow’s worst behaviors (resource guarding an item like trash or a toy that he would steal) has gone away. On the much rarer occasion, now, if Sparrow tries to stalk us for food while we’re cooking or sniff out the garbage can he never reacts aggressively anymore and when we firmly correct him with a sound and the movement of our bodies, he knows to “leave it” and we can redirect him to his bed and he listens. It is a breath of fresh air to know that by simply letting Sparrow know, in a way he understands, that he has to listen and can’t be bossy, we have made our home a safer and happier place where we can devote our time to enjoying him!”
