“I have booked with John & Ellen twice now and they are wonderful! Loved the photos and updates every day for my puppy, who had never been boarded before. Very fast responses and let me know immediately if there were any issues. Thank you again!!”

“Great property for dogs and a welcome home. I have a Vizsla, which means he’s full of energy and attention seeking. He had plenty of room to run and was shown the care and love he needed. I will definitely use Dixie again in the future.”

“Samantha was absolutely wonderful. We were very nervous about leaving our senior dog and very soon in to taking our little dog in we were good. Samantha really did an excellent job making sure he ate and giving him his medicine. We will definitely recommend Samantha to take care of your dog. We will be using Samantha again.”

“My Bella and I absolutely love Kimberly. It is so comforting that when we get to Kimberly's, Bella runs over and goes right into her home. Kimberly sends me pictures and compliments about my Bella....it makes my heart smile. THANK YOU to Kimberly for making me feel like my Bella's at her home away from home.”
“Samantha and her partner are just amazing! Took care of Kiwi’s very complex medical needs and even made sure she was comfortable walking with her arthritis by layout out rugs for her to walk on she she doesn’t slip. She even made her own chart to keep track of kiwis meds to make sure she never missed a dose. She’s amazing and will be our go to as long as we live in the area! Cant recommend enough!”

“It appears Nicholas enjoyed his time with Mary too much! He has been moping around the house getting used to a home without more people and pets. It was great receiving daily pictures and the care couldn’t have been more loving. I will definitely try to book with Mary whenever I travel in the future.”

About: Like many others, I am a dog lover and was raised taking care of family dogs. Unlike others, that passion led to training and classes, competing in dog sports, and now, competing in dog shows. I have experience with many breeds of all sizes, senior pet care, reactive dog care and training. I would love to help you with your pet care needs! I work from home, so my schedule is very flexible and I can accommodate most dogs’ needs. I currently have open availability for boarding, daycare, walks, and drop in visits. Dogs are treated like one of my own! I take your dog out for leashed potty breaks several times a day, according to their needs. While I am working, your dog can settle on the couch or one of the many dog beds, or relax and play with my dogs (a Golden Retriever and a Foxhound). If your dog likes the crate, I have an extra for them. When I run errands, your dog will be crated or gated in a separate room from my dogs for safety. I live on 4 acres next and next to a cemetery, so I can take your dog for relaxing walks in a peaceful environment.
“I cannot recommend Polina enough! She's reliable, responsive, and wonderful with dogs. She's like a dog whisperer! My puppy was well cared for and loved, he seemed so relaxed with her and happy when I picked him up. I would definitely use her again, don't hesitate!”

“Kate was very communicative and did amazing with our puppy! She was very kind and sent many Photos throughout the stay making sure I felt comfortable! I would definately have her dog sit again and would recommend her to anyone!!”

“We had an excellent experience with Huijun and her husband! They were very communicative throughout our dog's stay and even went above and beyond to treat and mitigate the ear mites she developed while she was there. They have a beautiful house and fenced in yard. I would definitely recommend them to anyone!”

“Lindsey is a great dog sitter! I wasn't able to have my dog Zoe with me for Christmas this year, so she got to spend it with Lindsey and her family. Zoe was right at home there on "the farm" and really enjoyed being part of the family. She made some new friends with the chickens and horses and Lindsey's two dogs who were very friendly with Zoe. I highly recommend Lindsey if you have a dog who likes to be social and likes small children and other animals. Thank you Lindsey for taking such good care of my girl!”

About: I’ve taken care of many dog breeds for over 40 years, from walking, bathing, playtime, dogs with medical needs and seniors. Small and large breeds are welcome! I currently work just a few hours a week and my adult, dog loving daughter is always here if I am not. Weekdays and weekends are available for some fun with your fur babies! Your pet is free to roam throughout the house but I have a crate and a 2 room area that can be closed off if needed. I have a large fenced in yard for safety and lots of playtime. Your doggy will be comfortable while vacationing in our home!
“We left for our 4 day vacation a little nervous upon leaving our pup Jasper for the first time. As a rescue dog he is very nervous and trembles, especially around new people and environment. Heather was great with him. She kept us posted on his well-being by sending us pictures every so often. Although he was excited to see us, he was very calm and happy. I would highly recommend her and will certainly be using her again. Thank you heather for your care with our baby. Yolanda and Isaac”

“Amazing amazing amazing Jeffrey is the absolute best with the dogs!! Additionally my truck broke down and I could not get to my dogs so he kept them longer and insured not only that they remained happy not ensured I knew that as he kept sending a ton of fun photos.”

“5 stars isn’t enough! This was 10 yo Kramer’s first time away from home. His older brother died last month and they were never apart. This has been a very rough time of adjustment. Tammy is wonderful with Kramer! She has a warm heart, a dog friendly home and fenced yard. Kramer was extremely well cared for!”

“Sadie is a playful young pup and she loved her stay with Crystal. It was hard leaving her but Crystal made it much easier for us because she sent pictures of Sadie daily. We knew she was having fun.”

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Savannah home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Savannah.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
