“Very thoughtful sitter and sends updates if requested throughout stay. Had other dogs around as well and let's them all play together, but does have a bunch of baby gates to separate the dogs if needed, so each dog could have it's own little section of the house if there are issues with the other dogs. My dog seemed quite happy when we came to pick her up the next day.”

I tried one night with John and Ellen and it seemed to go well so I booked again. Chica has stayed there for 3 nights and she seems to be doing so much better with her anxiety. Their place seems quiet and peaceful for her. She doesn’t come back scared. I only received photos on one day during her stay but she appeared to be doing well with the other dogs and looked content! It’s very hard to please a depressed dog but they seem to do so! I am definitely booking with John and Ellen again for a longer stay and know I won’t have to worry about Chica. Just hoping for more pictures next time! :)”

He updates me without asking, and includes daily photos/videos of their activities - including bacon bubbles🙂 Jeffery even takes the time to leave you with a "report card". Brief notes to let you know how your pet did with eating, potty breaks, playing with others and so on. Just a nice extra touch. We'll be back!”

About: I've had pets in my life since the day I was born, and as a teen I spent several years working in an animal shelter, caring for animals and working with the health team. I'm experienced with puppies, elderly dogs, dogs with behavioral challenges, and visually impaired and deaf animals. I've also cared for dogs with serious health needs like cancer and diabetes. I'm not a vet or vet tech, but I'm comfortable with basic care like changing a bandage, and I know how to respond in an emergency and reach the nearest emergency care. I've boarded dogs over 100 pounds, and they do great with my dog Leo, a 16 pound Jack Russell dachshund mix who has graduated from obedience and agility courses about five times. I also sit cats, birds, small critters, and reptiles. For dogs, I like to start with a neutral meet and greet, so I ask for two weeks notice, though I'm flexible in emergencies. If you'd like, I can also arrange grooming and specialized training as an additional service while your pet is in my care, provided through a licensed groomer and trainer. Your pet will be treated like family. I work from home, so I offer daytime care during work hours as well as overnight boarding while you travel. Your pet gets plenty of one-on-one time and extra TLC when needed. All pet care happens in my home on a quiet street in the Village of Manchester. I work remotely, so your pet is never left alone for long. Dogs get lots of one-on-one time, and I'm happy to send updates so you always know how your pet is doing. I start with a neutral meet and greet to make sure everyone gets along with my dog Leo. I have a large backyard with natural tree lines and barriers, but safety comes first. Any dog in my care stays on a leash or tie out whenever they're outside, with no exceptions, even if a yard is fenced. I'm happy to take short walks into the yard, and if your pet prefers pet pads, I can provide those. Cats get a quiet room behind closed doors, separate from my own cats, and can stay in their crate, come out, or sit with me in my office. I know how to respond in an emergency and how to reach the nearest emergency care.

I have decades worth of experience caring for dogs, cats and other small pets, from my own to friends and clients in the professional setting. So whether your pal needs a hike, walk around the neighborhood, a feeding, medication dose (dogs and cats) or just a visit, I have your back. We all need movement, attention and praise, pets included. I use positive reinforcement as training method, for all pets at every stage. So whether you have a puppy with some aggression issues, a husky that needs a run, a diabetic cat, fish to be fed and admired, or an stinky old man dog that just needs to be sung to and told he's a good boy I am here to serve. I have two cats personally, they run the household and tell me what to do. They eat twice a day, get their boxes cleaned daily, and petted and played when they decide. Monday- Thursday I am available for pet visits from 10:30-2:30 and again from 5-9 pm Fridays - I am available from 10:30-1:00 for visits Weekends-vary During daycare hours I will always be in the home with your pet unless we are going on an outing together. Play, snacks, walks, songs, and naps will be provided daily. I do have two cats, who will probably stay out of the way, but cat friendly creatures are always preferred.

“Perfect! Rocky had a great time staying with Debbie and her husband Mark. They treated him like he's part of the family. Rocky was home away from home because he was able to sleep on the couch, jump on the bed and be a lap dog (he's 95 lbs) just like at home. He even ate the first night, something he doesn't do when we leave him with a sitter or a kennel. A big plus is that he had Bella and Cleo (their own labs) to play with. He got lots of play time even in cold weather. This is one vacation that I really enjoyed because I know, as Rocky's Mom, that he is in good hands. Debbie and Mark are excellent with Rocky that I recommended them right away to two of our neighbors who have pets of their own. I give them 10 stars instead of 5. About: I have been a pet owners from 5 years and been fostering, dog sitting and dog walking for the same amount. My availability is wide open on Mondays, Wednesday, Sunday and partially open the other days. I have a large fenced in yard where the dogs play. I have two mini dog pools for those who enjoy them, and countless dog toys. I enjoy nothing more to spend my free tome with my furry friends. I own a 4 year old chocolate lab named a Wesley. He is super friendly and loves having playmates to enjoy his time with. Walks and runs are always in my schedule, and have explored many dog parks and trails in the area. About: Since I was young, I've always lived in a home with dogs. My experience tending to my family's pets (and farm-horses, sheep, and chickens!) gave me necessary experience and dedication to responsibility to house-sit and check in on other family friends' furry family members. I live in a home in Baldwinsville with a medium size yard that would be perfect for a short vacation for your dog (or dogs!)! I have summers mostly off, so if you're planning a summer mini-getaway or need someone to check in on or stay with your pup while you're gone for a night (or two!), I'm more than happy to help! I have experience dealing with older dogs who may need a little extra help getting outside or may need medication, so I also feel that the calm cozy environment I could offer them may be beneficial.
