“I couldn’t ask for a better pet sitter for my kitties! Shana always goes above and beyond in caring for our four cats. She gives updates and pictures every time she visits which reassures me that they’re in good hands. About: I didn’t get to experience the joy of growing up with dogs or cats but as soon as I was able I began taking in fosters from the NYC shelter system. It was quite a learning experience spending time with many dogs (and a few cats) of all different types and personalities. I no longer foster but I bring the experience and dedication from working with so many shelter pets to caring for your furry family members. And as a pet parent now myself I have been through many sitters so I understand what makes a good one! A note on boarding and meet and greets: I’m happy to have boarding candidates come by to meet me and check out the space but I do not do meet and greets with my own dogs. My dogs are dog friendly but they are too chaotic and excitable to meet new dogs and owners right away. New dogs are kept separate at first and introduced at their own pace when everyone is calm. This minimizes stress for everyone and allows for better interactions. I currently work out of the house Monday/Wednesday/Friday but my schedule is somewhat flexible. The rest of the week I work at home and I am often available all weekend. Dogs in my home have access to a securely fenced large yard for running and fetch, as well as a quiet neighborhood for walks. If the weather is warm dogs have access to a dog door so they may go outside as they please. If your dog likes to play with other dogs mine will certainly be happy to accommodate but they can also have separate spaces if quiet time is needed. In your home I will make every effort to keep your pets schedule as familiar as possible while offering lots of love and stimulation. As someone who has had many sitters come through and stay at my house I understand the importance of trust and cleanliness so you can be away without worry.

“So happy Nicole is on rover! It was so nice to meet her and I appreciated her care, communication, and amazing photos! I knew my boys were safe and looked after and I think they had some pretty fun playtime when Nicole was visiting”

About: I've always loved animals and after years of convincing my parents, I got my first dog 11 years ago. He's a wonderful and healthy Pomeranian boy named Saige. Since he was my first pet I initially enrolled him in some classes to be trained where I'd of course accompany him and once the methods of training made sense, I was able to continue the training myself. I even learned to groom him after multiple negative groomer experiences which I'm sure a lot of pet owners can relate to. I actually really enjoy bathing, combing and cutting his hair to a point where I considered working as a pet groomer. I have experience caring for sick pets and providing medication as my dog has had two surgeries for the same genetic condition. I didn't have any significant interactions with cats until a year ago when I saw a stray in my backyard and decided to feed her. I thought she was a boy and named her Levi; little did I know Levi was pregnant and gave birth a couple weeks later to two kittens, Lila and Maya, who I absolutely adore and have adopted since. I knew I loved dogs but I didn't know how much I'd begin to adore cats. Their athleticism, wittiness, unending purrs, intelligence and comforting affection has fulfilled me in many ways. A woman who helped me spay the cats asked me to sit her senior cat named Tiger while she was away multiple times and I enjoyed it very much. From that experience I realized this is something I'd really enjoy doing more so I signed up for Rover. After signing up, I began walking a Great Pyrenees named Zack. I was his walker for over a year before I moved upstate. I loved walking Zack and learnt a lot about dog walking by walking such a big boy. He liked 2 hour walks in the morning and 1 hour walks in the evening so I’m used to long walks if your pet requires! I've had parakeets from the age of 7-16 so know how to provide basic care like food, water, and cage cleaning. I've also been vegan for 10 years now because of my love for all animals. I hope you can intrust me to help care for your pet and spend some great moments with them. I currently work over the weekends, including some Fridays. I'd be available on weekdays to petsit and/or provide walks for your pet! If you have any special request for Fridays you can contact me and I can let you know if I'd be available. I can provide your pet company, playtime, walks, of course meals, necessary medication and even some grooming like baths, ear cleaning, dental cleaning and am open to whatever other specifications you may have for what your pet needs.

About: I grew up with multiple dogs and cats in my house. As the youngest of the family I was the defecto caregiver. As an adult I have been lucky to get to live with more animals but also watch and care for friends' pets. I currently work part time in post production so I have a pretty loose scheduling of my week to week activity. I also like to start my day pretty early so getting out and seeing pets is a great use of my downtime. I like to make sure that pets that get visits feel like they aren't all alone. I know when I travel I want my cat to feel like they aren't deserted. I personally like to make sure to have spare treats with me for any pet I get to look after but also ensure that the time spent in the home with the pet is spent as active as that pet wants to be. That can range from full on playtime to quietly sitting with them on the couch.

Rupinder K.
“First and foremost, I know Rupinder to be extremely caring for all animals. She is the type of person to go out of her way on day to day basis to help out any animal she meets. For this reason, I feel assured that she would make a caregiver to anyones pet and will have nothing but the best of intentions to care for them. Moreover, I know Rupinder to be well experienced in caring for both her own pets, and for those of others. I am aware of her experiences with both dogs and cats and have seen her caring for these animals first hand. I can guarantee that if Rupinder is your pet's caretaker, you have someone who cares about your pet.”

Blake C.
“I have known Blake since he was 16. We grew up together and his love of animals was always a quality I admired. Blake has had pets of his own and has always given them the care and treatment they deserve. I can also attest that he is great with other people's pets, like my boy, Roy. Blake is reliable and punctual and a great communicator. You won't have to worry about him cutting corners with your pets. Blake has watched Roy for extended periods and always kept me in the loop about how he was doing. I was able to enjoy my vacation knowing Roy was in great hands.”
