Kate sent us regular pictures and updates, was very flexible about our schedule for pickup and drop-off, prompt and easy to communicate with, and we didn’t worry about Astrid at all. I've lived in several situations with two or more cats in which they had to be slowly introduced or their interactions managed, and I'm confident in reading cats' body language. I think it is so important to be patient with cats and pay attention to their individual wants and needs. My own cat is very calm but cautious with other animals.

About: I absolutely love taking care of and being around animals. I am kind, reliable and very loving, with years of experience with both cats & dogs. I currently work part-time very close to my home and have reliable transportation. This means I typically have plenty of time to cater to your pets daily needs. Some days I would be able to be with them all day, whereas other days I can do morning, nights, or middle-of-the-day check-ins. I typically do not care for client's pets in my own home because of my two cats. I am happy to travel to any client home to take care of their pet however that may be needed: play, walks, parks, etc.

About: My own dogs are always the #1 teacher. They show me how to best care for them - with food, play, training, medications, travel, sleepless days and nights when they've been ill, and giving them all them comfort I can. I've volunteered at dog shelters, spent hours walking dogs in all kinds of weather, and offered comfort to friends who've had to say goodbye to their best fur friends. I currently work from home and have a flexible schedule that allows me to give your pets plenty of attention - playing, feeding, and scratching behind the ears. I take my dog for swims in the river, off leash romps in the woods, and leashed walks around town. We also play fetch and tug-of-war in the house or on the deck. If your dog needs a playmate, my dog, Jackson, may be a good fit. My cats - depending on their mood - like to lounge in the sun, pounce on the occasional toy, run up stairs, and hunt for treats I've hidden for them.

She truly went above and beyond, staying in constant communication with us the whole time we were away and sending photos and updates that really put our minds at ease. She put an incredible amount of heart into caring for our pets—she easily gave one hundred and fifty to two hundred percent—and her response time was incredibly fast.”
