“Kona had a great stay at Shannon and David’s! They were welcoming and warm which made Kona very comfortable. Pictures were so cute. He loved the long walks too! We were able to have a great weekend in Ellicottville with no worries. I highly recommend them and would absolutely have Kona stay on our next visit!”

“Took excellent care of our dog. Was very accommodating with the time. Great outdoor space and very friendly well behaved dog also there. Would definitely recommend and use again!”

“Erika and her husband took fantastic care of my little senior chihuahua. They made sure he got all his medicine and special diet. I knew he was in the right place when he seemed so comfortable at their house. ( He is generally very shy around new people and pets.) He got his daily walks in their fenced yard. It was very comforting to know he had a secure place to wander around since his vision and hearing is impaired. They are also genuinely sweet people who obviously love animals. Also fantastic that they are generally home during the day to supervise the pets. A+++ experience. Will definitely use their services in the future!”

“Megan kept me updated on how my dogs were doing and worked very well with my schedule! Was willing to be up early in the morning and dropped the dogs off at my place late with no problem. The dogs came back happy and exhausted showing they had a fun time. I'd definitely book with her again.”

“We were thrilled with the care my new puppies received. We received photos every day and looked forward to seeing how they were doing . I found that the dogs were given a lot of one on one time and socializing. We will definitely book again and nice to know so close to us. This was our first time using rover . Thankyou to both of you for providing such great care.”

“Sarah is great! She was available on short notice and took excellent care of my dog Maizie. Her little fur baby was also very friendly and welcoming, so Maizie had a playmate for the day as a bonus!”
“Georgia and her husband were amazing! They treated Olivia like a member of their family. They sent daily photos, worked on training, went for multiple walks, and played with her all the time. I will certainly use Georgia next time I need to leave my puppy at home! Thanks so much!! 🐶❤️”

“I can not share enough how fantastic Abigail is! She is responsive and flexible when I needed to make some last minute changes, and my fur baby couldn't be happier staying with her! Her daily check ins are heartwarming and I am so thankful to have found such a great sitter!”

“I give a five star review to Jessica’s dog sitting service. She’s attentive to special needs and took great care of my Black Lab. Additionally, Jessica communicated with me on a regular basis during my dog’s stay, which made me feel at ease. I’ll be booking with her again soon via Rover.”

“I would not hesitate to leave Buddy with Deanna again. Buddy got great care & loved running around the farm with Deanna’s dog Piggy. Much better option than kenneling. We had much piece of mind when we left Buddy, thanks Deanna!!”

“Denise thank you so much for taking extra care of Azul. I really appreciate it. I know she is very bougie for a dog lol. Also Star thank you for letting Azul sleep with you. She’s such a big baby.”

“Once again Eileen and her amazing family took care of my precious boy Kennedy. She was available last minute, in which I'm super grateful. Kennedy comes back home so relax and calm. I can say when I drop him off, Kennedy must of felt at home because went running and never looked back. Lol. Eileen always sends me reports and pictures. You definitely want to have her as your sitter for loved animal. I have a vacation coming up soon. I pray that she will be available.”

“Jennifer has been absolutely amazing through my cat’s stay. They’ve been comfortable and taken care of and she has been incredibly helpful while we’ve been dealing with a lot during a move. Would absolutely recommend her to take care of your pets!”

“Once again Jessica provided the best care for our dog. He came back happy to see us, but also quite content and not the least bit stressed. Jessica is willing to provide pictures and updates, but is never bothersome. We absolutely trust her with our dog and will continue to look to her first.”

About: Hi there! My name is Kayla and I have been a dog lover since I got my first dog at 7 years old. I grew up with a Golden Retriever (Jeter), when he passed I was devastated, but knew I could not live without a dog in my life. I got a mini golden doodle (Rylee) who is currently 4 years old. I also ended up adopting a heeler/dachshund mix (Mavis) who is 7 months old. I have experience working with all different sized animals of all ages. I took care of my senior dog, assisting him with a broken leg and have experience with puppies and training. Pets are family and I know how important it is to find a caring and loving individual to be with your pet, let me be that person for you! I am currently a school counselor with many days off during the summer and breaks. I am able to board your furry friend on weekends and during days off! I am available every day for dog walks after 3:30pm. With my love for animals, I will ensure endless cuddles and playtime for your pet. If your dog is crate training or trained, I would love to set that up for you.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Sardinia home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Sardinia.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Sardinia sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
