“I can’t thank Andrea enough for all that she did for us. I am so grateful for her. Louie is an extremely anxious puppy and he fell in love with her!!! He definitely already misses her because he kept looking for her in the spare room. I will continue to book Andrea for every trip and you should consider her too. Andrea was very respectful and attentive. She constantly sent us updates and pictures. Thank You for all you did Andrea! You’re the best and we consider you family now! 🩷”

“We are extremely satisfied with the level of care that Toi provided to our dogs. This is only the 3rd time we have used this, and our 1st with her. We are thankful for everything she did. She took them on walks, stayed in touch, sent photos, and even threw out the trash on her last day. If we ever need to use Rover again, I hope she is available so we can know our dogs will be well taken care of. If you need someone to do Housesitting, I highly recommend Toi. She was great.”

“Well organized. Took great care of our senior dogs, cats, more cats, and our plants. She’s also very personable and lovely to talk with and listens well. Very responsive to texts.”

About: What sets me apart is my hands-on experience working with animals. I completed a Veterinary Assistant training program and gained 500 hours of clinical and ranch animal experience. I’m comfortable caring for dogs with different personalities and routines and understand the importance of patience, safety, and consistency. My goal is to give pet owners peace of mind by treating every pet with the same love and attention I would give my own. I currently work part-time and am taking online summer classes, which gives me a flexible schedule throughout the day. Because my coursework is online, I can spend quality time with your pet while keeping up with my studies. I always make sure pets receive plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, and companionship, and I can easily adjust my schedule to meet their individual needs. Your pet's safety, comfort, and routine are always my top priorities. I understand that every pet has different needs, so I take the time to learn their schedule, feeding routine, exercise preferences, and any special instructions you provide. I communicate regularly with owners by sending updates and photos so you can feel confident your pet is happy and well cared for while you're away. I believe building trust with both pets and their owners is the foundation of excellent pet care.
“Amazing dog sitter, extremely friendly, understanding, flexible, and everything else you could ask for. We were worried because our Akita doesn’t like people. But Sarah was very patient and was able to work with all 4 of our dogs.”

About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs for as long as I can remember! I’ve always had a strong connection to them .I started taking care of them around the age of 8-9 when my dad gifted my my first dog. This is where my dog caretaking journey began 🩵Years later, a little pregnant chihuahua came into our doorstep, we nursed her back to health since she was beat up and hungry .I took care of many puppy litters growing up ! Eventually we gave them away to loving homes because there were so many of them to care for. Years later a, my sister was gifted a mutt named Toulouse who lived for 8 years, buts sadly passed. Whenever my family was out, I was usually the one taking care of him. I made sure my dogs were well fed, safe, and happy. Currently looking for a job ! , I have lots of time in my hands, I love spending time and taking care of dogs or cats. My dogs were mostly inside the house on severe weather days, for example during the hot days or rainy days .My dogs were supplied with freah clean water and food.(given occasional snacks ) They had their bed inside at all time so they can nap in the living room, most of the time in my room where I was . I tried to clean them daily to keep their fur from accumulating dirt. I never placed my pets in a endangering environment or situation, they were always kept safe. I’m very cautious when it comes to monitoring a dogs behavior, when my dogs were pups I had to keep an eye so they wouldn’t cause any mischief .

“Annelise took great care of our pups and our home, especially considering a hurricane popped up while we were out. They always seemed happy and comfortable in pictures and videos. We looks forward to having Annelise again.”

“Bella was able to accommodate our last minute house sitting request during Easter weekend. She is very professional, responsive, and friendly. Thor absolutely adored her and it was wonderful receiving updates/photos. We look forward to booking with Bella soon for future services.”

About: Don't worry, while you are away your cat or dog will receive lots of snuggles and belly rubs and all the playtime and walks he/she could ever want. I enjoy all types of dogs and cats both big and small. I am a very active person and have no problem going on long walks or runs for pets needing extra exercise.I have a pickup, so I can take dogs on hikes or to the lake for added fun.I cannot wait to meet your best friend. HOUSE/PET SITTING, DROP BY VISITS, AND DOG WALKING ARE AVAILABLE. I am currently working at the school district. I would be able to come in and check on your animals in the morning before work, around lunch time, in the later afternoon, evenings, and at night. I also have most weekends and holidays off for anyone needing weekend/holiday animal care. I have 2 months off in the summer to house sit or visit your pets multiple times a day. I do have my own dog and will need to spend time at my own house to take care of him as well. But don’t worry, I won’t forget about your fur baby. I love going on walks with my own dog and spending as much time outside as possible. I would be more than willing to spend several hours taking your pet for walks, playing, shopping (for treats of course) and maybe just spending some time with them while you are away.

“Gizelle was amazing help and very communicative throughout her entire care of my babies. My children can be very picky and special but she took the time to get to know them and she was very attentive to their needs. From a last minute booking she definitely took on my request with no hesitation and she was very kind and respectful. I would love to have her care for my babies again. Thank you!”

FAQs for House Sitting - San Elizario
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 306 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across San Elizario. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred San Elizario walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in San Elizario maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in San Elizario choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in San Elizario. On Rover:
- 96% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
