“Kimberly was very caring and kind to my pup. She was always on time and flexible with her schedule. She ensured that she checked in and gave lots of love to my pup before leaving. Thanks for being there when we were away.”

About: I've helped take care of the family dogs since I was young. My father had hunting dogs when we lived in the country and those types were friendly but could be assertive. Feeding, watering and checking for ticks or small wounds was a daily routine in any weather. We had German Shepherds for security but they were also loyal and protective pets. I attended Vohne Liche Training Kennels in Indiana and became an Explosive Detection Dog Handler while working as a defense contractor in Iraq, and have the certificate. I currently don't have a dog since my yard is small and I know that a healthy dog needs daily exercise. I have taken care of my friends and neighbors' dogs and walked them daily, but I avoid taking them to city parks or dog parks. A few owners disobey the laws and allow their dogs to roam the park off leash and this almost always ends badly. Sooner or later there will be a fight when an off-leash dog decides to attack other dogs that are leashed. Not all dogs at doggy parks are well socialized, and there is no proof of any current vaccinations. Dogs are pack animals and some may try to assert their dominance by fighting or harassing other dogs, especially those that are well mannered and non aggressive. I'm retired and an empty nester, so I have the time to devote as much attention as your pet may need. I only have a cat, so I can be available to stay overnight with your pet. My house has three bedrooms and an air conditioned garage, so my cat has the run of the house unless I'm boarding a client's dog. In that case I close off a part of the house to keep dog and cat separate, at least until I find out if they're compatible. In a client's home, I keep the same routine as the pets are accustomed to. I enjoy walking the family dog(s) and pay close attention to their eating and potty routines. If the dogs are to be given treats, I make a game of hiding them in plain sight and letting the dog use their senses to find them. I play fetch or tug of war if the dog enjoys this type of activity. I don't mind sitting with lap dogs and sit with them wherever they're allowed, on a couch or just the floor.
“I am so happy I’ve found Jean! She made it work last minute to watch our pups even tho she had something scheduled. Not only that, when she stops by she actually stays and hang out awhile and sends the happiest pics of my pups ❤️ she always leaves the house cleaner than started thanks!!!”

About: I’ve been an animal lover my entire life, and my experience goes far beyond just cats and dogs! I’ve had the joy of caring for all kinds of animals, including pigs, chickens, turtles, and even my own pet hedgehog. Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I truly believe every pet deserves the same love, respect, patience, and care that I would give my own. 🐾❤️ I have experience pet sitting for friends and family and absolutely love getting to meet new fur babies and their unique personalities. The people who have trusted me with their pets can all vouch for the care and attention I’ve given them while they enjoyed their time away. I understand that trusting someone with a member of your family is a huge responsibility, and I take that responsibility very seriously. I’m able to check in on your pets multiple times throughout the day, depending on their needs, and I’ll make sure they receive their meals, playtime, attention, and anything else they need to feel safe and comfortable. Communication is also very important to me. As a pet owner myself, I know how reassuring it is to receive pictures and updates while you’re away, so I’ll make sure you’re kept in the loop and know how your babies are doing. I also have experience administering medications to animals, including my own dogs and hedgehog, and will carefully follow any instructions you provide. Whether your pet has four legs, feathers, scales, or quills, I’ll give them the same patience, love, and attention I give my own. My goal is for you to enjoy your time away knowing your animals are safe, happy, and in caring hands. ❤️🐶🐱🐹🐢🐔 My current work schedule is very accommodating to taking care of animals! I will be able to check in a few times a day, making sure they have what they need. They will receive lots of love and the owners will get plenty of check-ins with their fur babies as well! I have 2 dogs and 2 cats. I make sure every day they have fresh water, they’re fed on time and that they remain safe while outside in their fenced in backyard. My cats are indoor, so I have tons of experience making sure the cats remain indoors as well! All my fur babies are well loved and taken care of!
“I scheduled a drop in so that Jaclynne could meet Oscar in advance of an upcoming stay. She was very accommodating and came over the next afternoon. My quirky little dog warmed right up to her. I feel extremely comfortable leaving him and knowing that he will receive the best care from her while we are away.”

About: With six years of dedicated experience as a professional service dog trainer, alongside my background as a kennel technician, I bring expert care and advanced handling skills to every pet. As a lifelong animal lover with three pets of my own and my own trained service dog, I promise to treat your furry family members with the exact same level of love, structure, and safety. I'm back and fourth between my two families taking care of my animals and theirs. They help me stay on my toes and keep me in check whilst having a fun time. I always put my clients and their pets first by providing compassionate, reliable care and treating every pet as if they were my own. Their comfort, safety, and well-being are my top priorities!

About: I loved fostering with Osceola County Animal Services in 2017 and aiding adoptions with Faithful Friends at a North Florida PetSmart (in 2022). Friends and family have sometimes needed me to be a sitter, too. A value I have, for both people and animals I meet, is for all of them to feel included. When people ask if I’m a dog or a cat person, I respond that I love both. I’ve babysat children as an occupation since September 2022. Skills developed that can apply to Rover from the caregiving experience are alertness, tenderness, self-discipline, and biceps. Older kids loved a game called “elevator” on swings that required all of my strength. I am confident that this has prepared my muscles for dog walking scenarios with larger dogs that could require more assertion and quick responses. And only recently did I learn to love all breeds—even Chihuahuas. My sister showed me the beauty of Sphinxes, the hairless cat breed. I am looking for work! Other activities I do include exercise, music, dance, etc. Then I simply have my routine of eating food. I am available to help. Each animal and owner is unique. I aim to be adaptable and gentle in care. Discipline is also beneficial—let me know any specific callouts or gestures you’d like me to use with your animal (i.e. for “sit”). I may use some on instinct. I can be mindful of socialization needs.
About: I have been caring for dogs from a young age, which has given me extensive experience and a genuine passion for their well-being. I truly enjoy building connections with dogs, ensuring they feel loved, safe, and comfortable under my care. My goal is to provide them with the attention and affection they deserve while meeting their individual needs. I am currently a student at Valencia College and am available to provide drop-in visits and dog walking services. I offer flexible scheduling and can accommodate appointments at any time of day. My goal is to assist with whatever your pet care needs may be, ensuring both you and your pet receive the best possible support I prefer to provide pet care services at the client's residence, as this allows the pet to remain in a familiar environment surrounded by the comforts and security of their own home. This approach helps minimize stress and anxiety for the animal, as they are more at ease in surroundings they know well. It also enables me to tailor my care to their established routines and preferences, ensuring a seamless and comfortable experience.

“I have never used a pet sitting service before so to say I was nervous was an understatement. Initially I was looking for someone that was experienced with cats, but after reading Cristinas profile I could tell she was kind and had a heart for all animals! I made sure to leave her instructions on each one and she followed them perfectly. She sent me daily reports and pictures which I really loved. Thank you Cristina for caring for my cats (5) and being so loving towards them. If you're reading this and contemplating on messaging Cristina to watch your fur babies, do it NOW! You will not regret it!”
About: My passion in life is working with animals. I have always had dogs, cats, and birds—all rescues. I've worked with big cats, primates, reptiles, and just about anything you can imagine when was Lead Caretaker at an animal sanctuary in Citrus County, FL, where I was in charge of feeding, cleaning, food inventory, and enrichment. I then spent many years in Panama, where I volunteered for "Amigos de los Animales," a charity organization that holds a monthly spay and neuter clinic. There, I supported veterinarians and helped monitor and revive dogs and cats after their procedures. I have helped my own furry kids through epilepsy, congestive heart failure, crippling arthritis, behavioral problems, end-of-life care, and cancer. They are all over the rainbow bridge now and I miss them deeply. Since I've relocated back to Florida, I've begun housesitting for dogs, cats, and more. I don't have any pets of my own right now and I run my own digital business, so my schedule is very flexible. I have 100% of my attention to devote to your furbaby's needs. I am a very neat, clean, and reliable person who will be available 24/7 for your furbabies. I like to make sure all pets have the best day ever, while also giving their humans the peace of mind and freedom to travel knowing their precious ones are in experienced, loving, and trustworthy hands. Animals are my favorite people. I am a digital nomad who works from anywhere and am extremely flexible with my schedule. I currently have no pets, so I would love to give 100% of my attention to yours! I care for pets as if they are my own. I also understand pets who need space or time to develop trust. I'm especially good with problem animals, large animals, and those who need extra care—like senior pets or those with health issues. For those guys who need a good run, I love to exercise outdoors.

About: Ive been caring for others animals for over a decade from drop ins, to overnight stays, and visits. I find Joy in giving animals their best life and care they deserve. I understand what it’s like to leave your fur baby in someone else’s care and strive to offer the care I’d want for my pets which is responsible, reliable, communicative, and loving. I currently work part time and from home so have a fairly flexible work week. I understand not everyone has that and I’m always walking anyways so don’t mind taking new friends along with me. I’m responsible and communicative and flexible. On the weekends it could be hit or miss but not off the table. I’ve worked in private households majority of my life whether child, pet, or house sitting. I understand the trust involved and do my best to keep the area better than I left it, am diligent to keep the pets safety first and the home secure and tidy. I hold myself to a very high trust when it comes to another’s home and privacy. Pets are my priority

“It was my first time using Rover for my beagles. So I was a little nervous. But everything went great and Jackie was great with them. I like the convenience of the beagles being able to stay at their own surroundings. I will definitely book another visit.”

“Leah is wonderful! She came and checked on our 2 cats. I loved that she stopped by before the appointment to meet our furry babies. She is responsive and punctual. Thank you Leah!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
