About: Hello! My name is Julissa. I have so much love for all pets and animals. Growing up, i’ve always had a dog in the house, and they were always such an important member of our family. It’s been about five years since I’ve had a dog of my own. My last dog’s name was Sasha. We adopted her when she was six and had her until she was about thirteen. She was so smart, loving, and anxious when we first got her so our first few years together were spent establishing trust. Eventually we managed to off-leash train and we worked a lot on her recall so that we could enjoy longer walks and outdoor activities while ensuring that she always felt safe in her environment. At home we set her bed up in the kitchen, where we would pass our time cooking and spending a lot of quality time together. I had so many good years with my Sasha, and since she passed I have genuinely missed spending time with animals on a consistent basis. Since then, most if not all of my friends and family have entrusted me with taking care of their animals when they are busy or traveling, so I’ve had a lot of experience with many different pets and their varying needs/personalities. I work freelance as an artist. I am a musician, so I often stay at home practicing or composing. However most of my work is in the film industry, and this work ranges from smaller independent projects to network television. Although I do work on set sometimes, I try to take on as many post-production gigs as possible, so I often find myself sitting behind a desk all day. I have always made it a priority to work in a field that I am passionate about, and my decision to work with Rover has been no different. Caring for animals is not only something I am passionate about, but also a wonderful opportunity to go on walks and spend quality time with pets. I will always be very clear about any changes in my work schedule if those are to arise, but my reliability and dedication never wavers I have a fenced in yard and plenty of spaces in the house for your pet to wander and feel comfortable. I am also very trust worthy, organized, communicative, and extremely eager to work with you!

“Thanks for sitting our little man. He had a wonderful experience. And we are looking forward to have you hang with him again. We were please with you knowledge and inputs about our dog”

“Isabel was absolutely wonderful. She was available in such short notice and took good care of our cat. She has a great personality and our cat loved her. Would 100% recommend her.”
About: Hi, I’m Sara! Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I love getting to know each pet’s unique personality. Whether your pup is full of energy and needs long walks, or your cat just wants some quiet company, I make sure every pet feels safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I have plenty of experience with cats of all ages. My cats at home are seniors. I’m good at making sure the animal gets to keep their routine. I am very good at knowing when cats or dogs want attention or need something. I have many years of experience dog walking with my friend. I am working part time right now so my schedule is really flexible. I will make sure to take my time to spend time with your pets. I love cats so much they are my favorite animals. Dogs are really cute and I love playing fetch with them! I think it’s important to never leave the door open and I’m very good about making sure the cat can’t escape. I’m a big believer on respecting cats boundaries. I can tell when they want attention or when they want to be left alone. With dogs I think it’s important to be attentive to them and listen to what they want. I also prioritize making sure I know where they are during the whole visit.
About: I have over 7 years of active, hands-on experience raising, training, and caring for dogs of all sizes, including large and powerful breeds like Rottweilers. Since 2018, I have been fully responsible for managing daily exercise routines, structured neighborhood walks, and feeding schedules.Beyond dogs, I am highly comfortable caring for cats, and other household animals. I am very attentive to animal body language, making sure your pets stay safe, comfortable, and appropriately active while you are away. Rain or snow, I stick strictly to your pet's schedule. Whether you need structured early morning exercise routines, mid-day check-ins, or reliable evening walks, I communicate clearly and stick strictly to your pet's established schedule. I am highly attentive to animal body language and know how to maintain structural control when walking larger, powerful dogs on a leash. I strictly respect your household environment, adhere to your exact safety rules, and keep outdoor routines secure by avoiding any unpredictable interactions with strange dogs or crowded spaces.
About: I’m active and enjoying running/walking. I grew up with a dog in the house and took care of her until her last days. As she got older I still tried to enrich her but playing with her and training her on new commands. I work full time but I'm free on the weekends and home. Weekdays I can accommodate evenings if needed. Friday-Sunday is possible for me as well. When I’m taking care of dogs I like to spend most of my time with them and love play! I prefer to follow a routine and stick to it.
Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Saint Albans
First and foremost, thank you both so much for your incredible service! Nasimul and Dominique were professional, caring, and highly responsive from start to finish. They followed all of my instructions perfectly, which gave me complete peace of mind and made me feel so secure while I was away. They are incredibly trustworthy! My cat is usually very shy and keeps to himself, but he wasn't shy with them at all. They made him feel so safe and comfortable that he was able to just be his usual happy self during their visits. THANK YOU! I will absolutely be a returning client.

Cynthia was AMAZING!! She took such great care of my cat while I was away. She was responsive, checked in, super easy to communicate with, very kind and nurturing, and made the whole process a dream. I will definitely be booking again. I felt that my cat was in safe and loving hands while I was away for a week. 100000/10!!!!

Nusta was absolutely incredible. I truly could not have asked for a better person to care for our dog while we were overseas. She went above and beyond in every possible way - taking amazing care of him, vacuuming and helping keep our home clean, bringing in our mail and Farmer’s Dog delivery, and even helping me during an emergency when I lost my debit card. Most importantly, our dog was SO happy. He had the biggest smile on his face when we got home, and it was obvious how comfortable and loved he felt with her. This was an extended trip overseas during such an important time in our lives - we got engaged while we were away - and because of Nusta, I genuinely did not have to worry about a thing back home. I would recommend her to absolutely everyone on this app, without hesitation. We will definitely continue using her because, at this point, our dog has officially welcomed her into the family. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Nusta, for taking such incredible care of him and of our home. ❤️

Minyon us SUPER accommodating. Even with my hectic schedule and several emergencies at once, she understood and gave me grace through every step of the process. When my pups met her, they instantly fell in love with her. She sent videos and pictures every visit and made sure to take them on nice long walks... which my pups love. I would ABSOLUTELY book with Minyon again!
Sheryn was dependable and made sure to stop by every day to check on my cats while I was away, which gave me peace of mind. She was consistent with her visits and clearly cared about making sure they were okay. I appreciated her reliability and the effort she put into being there daily. Thank you, Sheryn, for helping look after my cats.

Such a great spirit and understanding of our dogs needs and temperament. She went above and beyond, playing basketball with him in the cold and recognized when he was stressed. She was great in cleaning behind our dog and following instructions to T in locking up the property.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
