About: I have had numerous dogs over the years. I currently have 4 - a beagle mix who came to us with a broken paw and 3 jack-a-poos (from the same litter). Being a home schooling grandparent, I have a lot of flexibility in my schedule. I start the day with our feeding routine, cleaning the back yard while spending time with the pups, and cleaning litter boxes. All of my pets are indoors only. Since I am home with grandchildren during the day, we have a lot of time to cuddle and play with pets.

About: Serious inquiries only. I value my time and I value your time. Pretty please with a cherry on top 🍒🙏 If for any reason I don’t respond in a lightning-fast, high-speed-internet kind of way… please understand I’m just like the rest of you—working, hobby-ing, taking fitness classes, driving or bravely facing a sink full of suspicious-smelling dishes. That said, I will get back to you within the standard 24 hours. Guaranteed. If I don't answer within the guaranteed 24 hours, I will offer half off my regular price. My longest response time ever was a few hours—and that was either because I was at work or I fell asleep during a movie 😅 Thank you for attending my TED Talk. You may now proceed to my actual intro. 🎤✨ Hi, I’m Mary! Animals aren’t just a passion for me — they’ve been part of my life’s work. While living in France for 5 years, I volunteered with Les Pattounes du Cœur, a nonprofit that rescues and rehomes pets. I fostered everything from playful kittens to wise senior cats, including special-needs pets like my favorite three-legged kitty, who found the perfect forever home. I also rescued a sweet dog from the streets and helped him overcome anxiety caused by his past, teaching me patience, understanding, and the joy of building trust. Now back in the U.S., I’m here to offer loving, reliable care for pets in my community. Whether it’s daily walks, drop-in visits, or overnight stays, I’ll make sure your furry family member feels safe, happy, and truly cared for — as if they were my own. ❤️ When I’m not behind the wheel of giant 2-story “Tonka” trucks, you can usually find me spending time with furry friends. My job gives me plenty of time off, and I can’t think of a better way to fill that time than caring for animals. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or cuddle sessions, providing pet services lets me combine my love for animals with my free time - and give pet parents peace of mind while they're away. I share my home with my sweet cat, Maple, who my wife adopted from a no-kill shelter. She’s spoiled with love, and I care for her the same way I would care for your pet — with attention, patience, and consistency. Every day, I make sure Maple has fresh water, a clean litter box, plenty of food, and lots of playtime and cuddles. I believe pets deserve a safe, comfortable, and loving environment, and I’ll treat your furry family member with the same care and respect I give my own. I truly adore animals (if I could, I’d have a house full of cats!), and I take their well-being seriously — because they’re more than pets, they’re family. 🐾

About: I’ve cared for dogs since I was 10 and have worked with varying sizes and breeds including Blue Heelers, German Shepherds, Dobermans, Chihuahuas, Shih Tzus, Saint Bernards, and Labs. I’m comfortable with dogs of all energy levels and temperaments, from playful puppies to calm seniors. I have experience teaching young puppies basic commands like sit, lay down, and wait, and I’m patient with dogs still learning house manners. I also have hands-on senior care experience, including caring for my own dog through severe Wobbler’s disease, so I’m comfortable with mobility issues, medication schedules, and the extra gentleness elderly or special-needs dogs need. Whether it’s an energetic walk or a quiet check-in, I treat every dog like my own. I am a full time college student who is available Saturday through Monday. I am available from 11 am to 7 pm for walks and 8 am to 9 pm for drop ins! I feed my dogs on a schedule and crate them at night or if I have to leave the house. I bathe and brush my great Shepherd. I give my dogs their medication on a schedule as well and would be able to do same things for any client’s dogs!

About: I have hands-on experience caring for senior dogs, my own pup, Ludo, lived to be over 20 years old, and supporting him through every life stage taught me patience, gentleness, and how to meet the unique needs of aging pets. I’m genuinely passionate about animals and have spent years volunteering at animal shelters, which has given me experience with dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and backgrounds. Friends and family have trusted me to care for their pets for years, and I treat every animal like a member of the family. Your pet’s comfort, safety, and happiness truly matter to me, and I’m committed to giving them the same love and attention I’d want for my own. I am currently transitioning between full time work and going back to school online. I have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to dedicate quality time to caring for your pets. Whether it’s walks, playtime, cuddles, or just keeping them company, I can work around your needs and ensure your fur babies get consistent attention and care throughout the week. I’d love to fill some of my time making sure your pets feel happy, safe, and loved. In my home, pets have access to a safe, fenced yard where they can play and explore. I live with two friendly dogs and two shy but affectionate cats, who enjoy snuggling and playing with new furry friends once they feel comfortable. We have plenty of toys to keep pets entertained, and I make sure everyone feels safe, loved, and included. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize their routine and comfort, giving them attention, playtime, and affection while respecting their space and environment. My goal is always to help pets feel secure and happy, whether they’re at home or visiting mine.

About: I want to open our home for dogs that need to feel loved and comforted while their family is away. I have had a pet most of my life. Different breeds from a small terrier to large dogs. Currently we have an older lab that loves everyone. We choose a Labrador after training puppies with Guide Dogs for the Blind for 5years. I like fun energetic pets as well as slow moving or special needs. I will take pictures and videos so you can see how your family pet is doing. We retired to Green Valley 13 years ago. One of us is always home, but I will be the primary care given for your pet. I greatly appreciate the opportunity to care for your precious family member. My husband and I are retired and home full time. With a fenced back yard for your pet. And many areas to walk . If you have an early riser, I'm up at 5:30 daily. Our home has an enclosed front court yard. And a 3ft6inch brick wall in back. I keep only plants I can see under for the safety of my animals.

About: Hi! I'm Nancy, and animals have been a part of my life since I was a little girl. Growing up, I helped my parents care for our pets, learning how to wash and groom our dogs from my mom. Over the years, I've had the joy of feeding, walking, and babysitting my neighbors' dogs, treating each one as if they were my own. Today, I'm the proud parent of four beautiful and adorable dogs who fill my life with love, laughter and so much joy. Caring for animals isn't just something I do—it's definitely part of who I am. When you entrust your beloved pets to me, you can rest assured they'll receive the same affection and attention I give to my own. As a stay-at-home mom, my days are centered around caring for both my family and our 4 dogs. This lifestyle allows me to offer flexible and attentive pet sitting services, ensuring your pets receive the love and care they deserve throughout the day. Whether it's a midday walk, feeding, or just some extra cuddles, I'm available to accommodate your pet's routine. Being home-based means I can provide consistent and personalized attention, making your pet feel comfortable and cherished while you're away. Your pet's safety and well-being are my top priorities. I understand that each animal has unique needs, and I strive to provide personalized care that ensures they feel loved and secure. From maintaining their regular routines to offering plenty of affection and attention, I treat your pets as if they were my own. You can have peace of mind knowing that your pets are in a safe, nurturing environment where their happiness and health come first.

About: Hello, I’m Michelle, and with my husband, Trevor, we can’t wait to take care of your dog (s) and treat them as if they were our own! We have both had pups in our lives since we were born, and I have been pet-sitting for over 15 years now. We truly are all about our dogs—where we go, they go, so we are very accustomed to living not only a dog-friendly life, but a dog-first life. We regularly go hiking, swimming, and walking, and we take trips to the pet store for new treats and toys. It isn't truly an adventure unless we have a pup along with us. We also have 3 years of experience as dog fosters and are very comfortable working with dogs of all temperaments and breeds. Our two pups are our foster fail, Cici, a 4-year-old English Cream Golden Retriever. She is a lover of all dogs and people and is always excited to have new playmates. Our other lovable pup is a 1-year-old Golden/border collie mix dog named Cashew, who loves making new dog friends and playing a ton. A little more about us, my husband and I, and our 3-year-old daughter are dog lovers and love making new fur friends! We both work remotely, so we are able to interact with them at all times. Our home is 100% pet friendly, they can be on the couches and even have their own daybed to look out the window at the world going on. We have a 3-year-old who has been around dogs her whole life. We are no strangers to having extra dogs in the house with our daughter, so that is no concern for us! Our goal is to make their time with us the BEST DAY EVER!!! We want them to have a vacation while you are gone. We will do everything in our power to ensure they are happy, healthy, safe, and secure. We have worked with all types and breeds and can handle anything when it comes to pet care! We both work from home and have the flexibility and freedom to devote time to your pup! Since there are two of us, you can guarantee your dog will get lots of attention, play, and cuddles while with us. Also, we have the best pup play crew who will ensure your pup has a puptastic time! We have a fully fenced-in backyard, a dog's paradise. They would have full access to play during the day. Again we both work from home, so there is always someone home with the dogs giving them attention and keeping them safe. Our youngest dog just got out of puppyhood, so our house is already puppy proofed.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
