“The greatest! It was snowy and Linda wasn't sure the ice melt was dog-safe so she wiped Moe's paws after their walks! I probably wouldn't have done that myself. Definitely book Linda when she's available!”

About: I’ve had dog(s) since before I was born and I try to make sure that they receive adequate back rubs, treats, and outfits in addition to their basic care. As a kid I watched many neighbors dogs while they were on vacation and I am always the first one to fill a food or water bowl At this time I have a wide range of availability to care for dogs in my schedule. I am open to different care options to best meet the dog’s needs I have a fenced in area where my three dogs are able to let themselves in and out via doggy door. They can have as much food as they want as they are feeder fed.

About: Temporarily based in beautiful Sandwich, MA with a large backyard through July 2! Hi! I’m a New York based dog lover living on the Upper East Side, and would love to meet your pup! I grew up in a home with dogs and have experience fostering ranging from young puppies to adults, so I’m comfortable with different ages, breeds, and needs. I specialize in in-home sitting, allowing your dog to stay relaxed in their own space and routine. I’m especially great with small dogs and understand the extra attention, patience, and affection they often need. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding schedules, or just being a calm, loving presence, I make sure your dog feels safe, happy, and truly cared for while you’re away. I also know how important peace of mind is, so I provide frequent updates: lots of pics and check-ins, so you always feel connected and reassured. I’m reliable, detail-oriented, and treat every dog like they’re my own. I genuinely love what I do and would be so excited to care for your pup 🐾 I have a flexible in-office schedule, so can choose whatever days I need to work from home, meaning I can be with your fur baby all day long! Im around for a quick potty break and playtime, to long walks in the park, to boarding! I do not have any pets so my attention and affection for your pooch will undivided! I am committed to your pet’s safety; and any information provided on your routines/guidelines will be followed!
About: I’ve had pets my entire life, especially dogs. My first pup was an Irish Setter when I was just four, and over the years my family rescued many dogs — including plenty of Basset Hounds — so I’m comfortable with all kinds of breeds and personalities. I’m now a cat owner as well — it’s a new experience, but one I’ve grown to love. At the moment, I’m available nearly every day, including weekends, thanks to a flexible work schedule. I’m happy to work around your needs and adjust as things come up. My kids are fully grown, so I have some more time on my hands! I’m completely comfortable crating dogs when needed, and I’m confident handling daily walks, potty breaks, and general exercise routines to make sure every pup feels safe, happy, and well‑cared for.
“Eliza has been walking my dog for over a year. She is punctual, great communicator, reliable and responsible. My dog absolutely adores her! He gets so excited when we tell her she’s walking him. She has also helped us when we needed dog services outside of our weekly walking schedule. I highly recommend Eliza for pet services.”

About: ***please only serious booking requests*** There have been a lot of last minute cancelations by pet owners. I am a female in her 30’s who just moved to the area and has had experience with caring for dogs and animals back near my hometown. In the past I have dog-sat my sisters 2 cockapoos for 6 or more years as she traveled for work. Through Rover I have been able to book many sittings and walks over the last 8-10 years. I have done drop ins to feed both cats and dogs and am comfortable with both. I am very respectful of the clients home and strictly follow any protocols put in place. I leave everything in the same order as it was found and make sure the animal is safe. I am currently working part-time and have some flexibility with my schedule. I just moved to the area and am open to mornings, evenings, and weekends and can do my best to work around schedules. I typically care for pets at the client's home rather than my own. My apartment building does not allow pets so I haven't been able to care for pets at my own residence.
“McKenzie is amazing! She takes Emmy on walks during the days I can’t come home during my lunch break, and every day when I get home Emmy is happier than ever! McKenzie is always on time, trustworthy and kind. I can’t recommend her more!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
