My husky receives regular potty breaks, walks, exercise, playtime, feeding, attention, and downtime. I’ve had her since she was a puppy, so caring for her has been a consistent part of my life for years. I also care for a boa constrictor and a Green Bottle Blue tarantula. I maintain their enclosures and monitor their temperature, humidity, feeding, water, and overall environment based on their individual needs. Their enclosures are kept secure and separate from my other pets. With any animal in my care, I pay attention to behavior and body language, provide appropriate enrichment and interaction, and make adjustments when I notice their needs have changed. I prioritize safety, consistency, cleanliness, and making sure each animal receives the level of care and attention appropriate for their species and personality.

About: My first ever job at the age of 12 was dog sitting in my neighborhood. I am a dog mom myself to a sweet high energy Boykin Spaniel. About: We have always had a family dog, starting with a small dog, rescuing a large dog, and then most recently adopting a puppy. This has provided me with excellent and well rounded pet care skills from training a puppy to elderly care. Although I have not owned a cat, I have taken care of many and absolutely love them. Currently, pet care is the primary goal so I can work my schedule around what clients need. On a more routine day I’d likely be able to check on the pet 2-4 times then the hours of 8-5 then could spend the evening with the animal. I can follow any care routine left by the pet parents! In my own home I would crate dogs for safety at night, but keep them free in my apartment while I’m home. I have plenty of green space in my neighborhood for extensive walks and places to play. I do not have any other pets, so your baby would be my full priority! I also enjoy house sitting, and would be sure to not only tend to your pet but your home. I always leave the place cleaner than I found it, and I have my own transportation so it’s okay if you live further out.

About: I have been taking care of dogs for about 10 years now. I own 3 dogs myself and take care of them everyday. I have also worked at an overnight boarding place for animals, volunteered at animal shelters, fed many pets, walked many dogs, and I hope to continue bettering animals. Several weeks before our trip, Anna Mei came to our house and spent about 2 hours with us and our dogs. That was a great way for us to get to know each other and see how comfortable our dogs were with her and she with our dogs. At her suggestion, we spent one night in a hotel as a trial run while she stayed with our dogs. Everything went really well, and she kept us updated on what was going on. About: I changed the direction my life was going and found the REASON was Animal Care. I began volunteering at 2 local Humane Societies in 2013. Very shortly thereafter became employed at both Societies = working 7 days a week with animals. I adopted my first 2 pets (torti cats named Cali & Ava) in the Fall of 2013. Adopted a 3rd torti cat in the Spring of 2014 (named Hallie B). I adopted a chihuahua in the Fall of 2016 (named Clara my grandmother’s name). With the exception of Hallie B they have all crossed the Rainbow Bridge. The 1st in December 2020 then June 2021 and most recently in May of 2025 :-( 🐾🐾🐾 They were adopted as Seniors. They were the best. After 4 years of Humane Society work I changed direction again in 2017 to a more professional aspect of Animal Care becoming employed at a Veterinary Hospital as a Kennel Attendant for over 7 years. I have performed a number of cat drop-ins around the Gloucester area for various residents affiliated with the Humane Society. One such assignment lasted for almost two months while the cat’s owners traveled to Florida for the winter. I currently work (outside of Animal Care) OVERNIGHT 40 hours WEDNESDAY night thru SUNDAY. morning. Those days I am usually available for Animal Care from 8am to 2pm. Thursday thru Saturday I am totally available. There is some flexibility with my overnight work and the possibility of a little accommodation for Animal Care. About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my whole life, from rabbits, birds, reptiles, and Guinea pigs, to large dogs, high energy puppies, and cats of all ages/breeds.
