They worked with him several different ways to get him to take it because my dog wouldn't follow the way he does for me at home. I apprecaited their patience and care. I received updates very quickly on the first day. After that, the updates were less frequent, but when I reached out to ask, they were quick to respond. My dog went with them happily which set my heart at ease. This was the first time I had left him with someone other than family. When I picked him up, he was glad to see me, but didn't appear to be anxious or traumatized in any way. When we visit Williamsburg again, I will definitely check with them to keep my dog again.”

About: I'm currently a stay-at-home mom, but I am a former Firefighter/EMT for the City of Williamsburg. Before that, I was a Vet Assistant for Noah's Ark Vet Hospital. My husband is a firefighter/paramedic, my daughter is in middle school, and I have a three year old German Shepherd. I've never lived without a dog in my life. I was responsible for our family dogs when I was a kid, and I loved it! As a young adult I worked for a Vet Clinic and was responsible for walking/exercising the animals, grooming, administering medications and assisting the Vet Technicians and Doctors during procedures. I genuinely loved my job, but chose to join the Virginia Air National Guard in order to train as a firefighter and serve my country. When I came home from basic training and the fire academy I landed a job with the Williamsburg Fire Department. I worked there for thirteen years, and then decided to stay home with our daughter when my husband was promoted. I'm very active. I run or walk daily with our German Shepherd. My schedule is open and flexible. I would love the opportunity to take care of your dogs! I'm a stay-at-home mom and my schedule is very flexible. I'm available all day and throughout the week for house visits and exercising your pets. I prefer to care for your pets at your home. I believe they are more comfortable and less anxious. I would visit with them often and exercise them in their environment or take them on walks.

Once the kids are home from school, things become more active! We enjoy walks, outdoor play, and spending time together as a family. We live in the gated community of Fords Colony, so the walking paths for your pup are perfect and safe. Your pup will get plenty of attention, playtime, and opportunities to relax throughout the afternoon and evening. I rescued 2 dogs, brother and sister, from the woods when they were 6wks old. They made it to be 16. I do have issues with my left leg/foot and lower back. I’m currently a full time student and on the William & Mary Varsity Men’s soccer team, however, I have many breaks throughout my day. The only block of the day I’m usually completely unavailable is from 2-6PM When caring for pets in clients homes you can expect the utmost respect for the home but also a willingness to learn how you usually handle your dog at home. Whether that is using the crate and having some more strict guidelines, or if it is a more relaxed environment.

About: Every since I got my first cat my life has never been the same. Now I always love to take care of all my pets for my friends and family house sitting and long walks. I'm a college student, so over the summer I have copious amounts of free time that allows me to flexibly take care of pets throughout the day. I ensure that all their primary needs are first satisfied, food, water, and walks, then I like to ensure that they get plenty of attention for the time I'm with them.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs of all sizes since I was just a kid. My partner Rex has also had dogs growing up. You can count on us to make sure that your pup is well cared for and loved while we watch them. Both myself and my partner have open availability and will be around. We will communicate with you should we need to step out for a moment for any reason. We have a dog of our own named Cap who is a lab/hound mix and four short hair cats (Anri, Mori, JoJo, and Astora). About: I changed the direction my life was going and found the REASON was Animal Care. I began volunteering at 2 local Humane Societies in 2013. Very shortly thereafter became employed at both Societies = working 7 days a week with animals. I adopted my first 2 pets (torti cats named Cali & Ava) in the Fall of 2013. Adopted a 3rd torti cat in the Spring of 2014 (named Hallie B). I adopted a chihuahua in the Fall of 2016 (named Clara my grandmother’s name). With the exception of Hallie B they have all crossed the Rainbow Bridge. The 1st in December 2020 then June 2021 and most recently in May of 2025 :-( 🐾🐾🐾 They were adopted as Seniors. They were the best. After 4 years of Humane Society work I changed direction again in 2017 to a more professional aspect of Animal Care becoming employed at a Veterinary Hospital as a Kennel Attendant for over 7 years. I have performed a number of cat drop-ins around the Gloucester area for various residents affiliated with the Humane Society. One such assignment lasted for almost two months while the cat’s owners traveled to Florida for the winter. I currently work (outside of Animal Care) OVERNIGHT 40 hours SUNDAY thru WEDNESDAY. Those days I am usually available for Animal Care from 8am to 2pm. Thursday thru Saturday I am totally available. There is some flexibility with my overnight work and the possibility of a little accommodation for Animal Care. I also have to spare some time for my own cat’s care. About: I'm a huge animal lover. I'm very outgoing and love dogs! I grew up with four dogs (all different breeds), so I am very used to taking care of fur babies. I am very flexible and easy to work with. I am great with dogs of all sizes. I will walk the dogs as many times throughout the day as possible. I love interacting with dogs and taking them for runs. I love buying toys and playing various games with them. I love to snuggle with them and make them feel loved. I will take as good of care of them as I would my own fur babies. I keep their space clean, give fresh water, follow feeding instructions, and make time for play, cuddles, and bathroom breaks. “Teona and Louelyn were great with my dog. He is stubborn about taking his medication. They worked with him several different ways to get him to take it because my dog wouldn't follow the way he does for me at home. I apprecaited their patience and care. I received updates very quickly on the first day. After that, the updates were less frequent, but when I reached out to ask, they were quick to respond. My dog went with them happily which set my heart at ease. This was the first time I had left him with someone other than family. When I picked him up, he was glad to see me, but didn't appear to be anxious or traumatized in any way. When we visit Williamsburg again, I will definitely check with them to keep my dog again.”

About: I'm currently a stay-at-home mom, but I am a former Firefighter/EMT for the City of Williamsburg. Before that, I was a Vet Assistant for Noah's Ark Vet Hospital. My husband is a firefighter/paramedic, my daughter is in middle school, and I have a three year old German Shepherd. I've never lived without a dog in my life. I was responsible for our family dogs when I was a kid, and I loved it! As a young adult I worked for a Vet Clinic and was responsible for walking/exercising the animals, grooming, administering medications and assisting the Vet Technicians and Doctors during procedures. I genuinely loved my job, but chose to join the Virginia Air National Guard in order to train as a firefighter and serve my country. When I came home from basic training and the fire academy I landed a job with the Williamsburg Fire Department. I worked there for thirteen years, and then decided to stay home with our daughter when my husband was promoted. I'm very active. I run or walk daily with our German Shepherd. My schedule is open and flexible. I would love the opportunity to take care of your dogs! I'm a stay-at-home mom and my schedule is very flexible. I'm available all day and throughout the week for house visits and exercising your pets. I prefer to care for your pets at your home. I believe they are more comfortable and less anxious. I would visit with them often and exercise them in their environment or take them on walks.

My husband has a flexible schedule and typically doesn’t start work until around 10:00 AM and is home by about 3:00 PM. This means your pup won’t be alone for long stretches of time, and there is someone around during much of the day. Our mornings are busy with getting the kids ready for school, but we make time for potty breaks, breakfast, and some attention before everyone heads out. Once the kids are home from school, things become more active! We enjoy walks, outdoor play, and spending time together as a family. We live in the gated community of Fords Colony, so the walking paths for your pup are perfect and safe. Your pup will get plenty of attention, playtime, and opportunities to relax throughout the afternoon and evening. We’re happy to follow your dog’s normal feeding, walking, potty, and medication routines as closely as possible. Our goal is to make their stay feel comfortable, safe, and as much like home as possible!

About: Worked as a veterinary assistant and have experience caring for cats, dogs, reptiles, horses, and farm animals. Also have experience working with scared or aggressive animals I am a student, so I have a flexible schedule and would love to care for animals during study breaks to make some extra money I always am thoughtful about the animals and pay lots of attention to what they need and are telling me.
