About: Hi, I’m Lydia! I’ve been on Rover for a year and a half, but I have over 7 years of hands-on pet care experience. I started dog sitting for friends and family when I was 16 and have also volunteered at multiple animal shelters and worked at both Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle and Red River Zoo in Fargo, ND. I currently work at Petco as an Animal Care Specialist, where I care for all kinds of animals and dogs. I have experience with everything from young puppies to senior dogs, and I especially enjoy training and working with dogs who have behavioral challenges. I also have a dog of my own who I raised and trained from a puppy. I truly love working with animals and treat every pet I care for like they’re my own! I currently work part-time at Petco, which gives me a very flexible schedule for pet sitting. I work closing shifts Wednesday through Friday from 4:00–9:15 PM, so I’m unavailable during those hours, but I’m generally free the rest of the week and can be very flexible with drop-ins, walks, and pet sitting. I’m happy to work with you to find a schedule that works best for both you and your pets! For dog walks and drop-ins, I always want both you and your pet to feel comfortable and taken care of while you’re away. I make sure to all the instruction provided and stick to your pet’s normal routine as closely as I can. If that means taking them on their usual walk, giving them some playtime during a drop-in, or just hanging out with them for a bit, I'm happy to do it! I will also be very respectful of your home and will make sure everything is left just how I found it. Most importantly, I treat every pet like my own and always keep their safety and happiness in mind.
About: From 8 weeks old to senior pups, I’ve seen it all! Whether it’s basic canine knowledge, walking, bathing, medication administration, or pet snuggles, I’ve got you covered! I work full time M,W,Th,F (every Tuesday off) from 8:00am-5:00pm. With 2 dogs of my own (cavalier/shih tzu/bichon (17lb) and golden retriever (60+ pounds), we have a timely feeding and walking routine. Your pup will fit right in! With a two story house, patio, and open yard with a walking path nearby, the opportunities are endless for your pups needs to be met! Your pet can snuggle up on the furniture and/or bed or be crated if that is your preference.
About: I'm a PE teacher so I love to go for walks and play with your furry friend. I'm also available to take your dog on a light jog or hike. I've had dogs most of my life and love meeting new furry friends. I've had dogs as small as 5lbs and as big as 85lbs. I'm comfortable with all types, sizes, and breeds. I am capable of following any special instructions/ medications/diets as well. I have higher availability during school breaks but can still make it work during the regular work week. About: I've looked after dogs and cats for around 15 years, very comfortable with both. Getting to know a pet and learning their personality and preferences is important to me, I want us both to have a good time! I'm currently work part-time and I'm a student, taking most of my classes online so I can be flexible! Mondays and Wednesdays I'm pretty busy in the morning, but I'm usually free by 2-3pm. I have two cats that are very well-socialized with other cats and small to medium sized dogs. Sometimes I put up a gate and allow the cats to sun themselves on the deck, which they love! Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement walker.
