She understood that Cookie needed space and allowed her to warm up at her own pace, while still finding little ways to build trust and make her comfortable. By the end of the stay, Cookie was following her around, letting her brush her, and even rolling over for belly rubs, which is a huge deal for her! Elizabeth also communicated with us constantly, sending detailed updates, pictures and videos, and letting us know about everything from eating and potty breaks to small changes she noticed. We never once had to wonder how Cookie was doing. It was very clear that Elizabeth genuinely cared about Cookie and treated her like her own. Being away from an anxious dog can be stressful, but knowing Elizabeth was with her allowed us to actually relax and enjoy our trip. We came home to a happy, well cared for dog and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The weekends will be needed for a second job. In the meantime, I am looking to care for your pets- one of my favorite things to do!
