“My cat is always super skiddish of people, but they both came right out to Krystin when she stopped to check on them. We were both so surprised! I was very appreciative of the pictures she sent to me as well!! Thanks again!! I’ll be using her again to watch them for me soon.”

“Julie was great! I have a dog who has quite a lot of anxiety but he was so happy and calm when I got home! That's such a gift!! Julie has a calm demeanor, which affects my babies in the best way. I'll definitely use her again!!”

“Jennie is the consistent “drop-in visitor” for our dachshund puppy and she is amazing! She is loving, punctual, attentive and communicative. She has learned our girl’s personality and likes and dislikes and has made each visit special for our pup. Jennie has worked with us for a little over a month now and we could not have picked a better fit!”

“Chloe was absolutely wonderful! She took amazing care of our boys - making sure they were fed, giving treats, scooping the litter, and even bringing in our mail without being asked. That extra thoughtfulness meant so much. Most impressively, she got our shy cat Fred to come out of hiding, which is no small feat! We felt totally at ease knowing our pets and home were in such caring hands. Highly recommend!”

“Laura was a very kind and caring presence while I was out of town. She took great care of my 2 small dogs. She would drop in to let them out and feed them as I had requested. If you ever want a sitter with a tender heart and attention to detail, reach out to her.”

“Bali did a great job with Georgie. She made sure to reach out with any questions and sent some of the most beautiful pictures of him and their play time. I will definitely book with her again.”

About: Previously a wildlife rehabilitator, farm hand and now Adoption Counselor, at the Asheville Humane Society, I’m looking to save up money to pay off student debt and fund my love for animals. With 2 cats at home and a pet bird I love taking care of animals. I work a full time job at the Asheville Humane Society from 9:30-6:30pm, Tuesday through Saturday so my availability is limited to check ins and dog walks right before or after work. On Sunday and Monday though I’m available all day for multiple visits if needed. I cannot care for pets at my own home but am available for in home care including feeding, walks playtime baths, training as requested by the pet parent and extensive care by request from pet parents for dogs or cats who need medication via pills, nebulizer, eye drops etc and any physical therapy requirements. I am also more than willing to clip nails, clean ears, teeth, and give baths.

About: I’ve cared for dogs all my life. I have 3 labs of my own. My heart is with animals and I love them all! I am grateful to spend time with your babies & love them like my own. They are such gifts to us. I work park time and make my schedule up myself so I am free for dog walks most week days with some availability on weekends. I have a fenced in yard & 3 labs of my own. I will play with your dog to get energy out, walk, play fetch, whatever you ask! And of course plenty of belly rubs (if they are open to them of course)

About: For eight years, I volunteered with the Wake County Animal Center in Raleigh, NC, where I fostered 60 dogs—from newborn puppies to senior dogs and every age and personality in between. While I’m not a certified dog trainer, I’ve worked with pups who had anxiety, reactivity, resource guarding, medical needs, and even deafness (I taught one dog 15 different signs!). I’ve handled recovery care after surgery, heartworm treatment, skin and eye issues, potty training, and medication routines that required attention multiple times a day. I feel confident and comfortable with any dog—big or small, shy or hyper, special needs or seniors. I haven’t had to give injectable medication before, but I’m completely comfortable learning and have no hesitation. I work part-time as an assistant for a local Asheville artist. I’m often able to adjust my hours around your pet’s needs, especially for midday walks, extended stays, or regular check-ins. Pet care isn’t just something I fit into my day—it’s a huge part of what makes me feel grounded, happy, and fulfilled. I haven’t fostered since moving to Asheville, and working with dogs again is a way I’m reconnecting with that part of myself. I share custody of three senior dogs—now 14, 13, and 12—and they’ve been with me most of their lives. My 13-year-old tripod, a boxer-hound mix, lives with me full-time and is my best friend. Because of him, I’m especially tuned into the needs of older or special-needs pets. At home, I live in an apartment with three private dog parks on the property. They’re usually empty, which gives us a safe place to play, run, or just sniff around. For boarding, your dog will need to meet mine first to ensure everyone vibes well together. In your home, I always do a meet & greet beforehand to get to know your pet and their environment, plus give you a chance to get to know me. Through my years of volunteering at a busy municipal shelter, I’ve developed a strong ability to read dog body language—whether that means giving space to a nervous dog, redirecting rough play, or stepping in safely if a situation escalates. I also know how to interrupt and break up dog fights safely, though I do everything possible to prevent them from happening in the first place! Your pet’s comfort and safety, and mine, are my top priorities- wherever we are.

“Mallory was a communicative and trustworthy caretaker of our two kitties while we were away. They warmed to her presence easily and everyone was happy and healthy upon our return!”

“Another great experience having Susan watch our cat, Steve! He’s always happy and healthy when we return and the house is as we left it (or better!). Would recommend Susan to anyone!”

About: I’m a registered nurse that also loves animals and would love to walk your pet on my days off. I will care for your dog as if they were my own. I work 3 days a week so I have 4 other days of the week to play around with for your pet’s needs. I have 2 dogs of my own as well so I am familiar with caring for dogs. I would care for anyone’s pet as if they are my own. I love all types of animals and treat them with the utmost respect and care.

“While I was away celebrating my daughter's wedding, Axios and Aurora cared for my pups, Koa and Tuck. From the start, their communication was both thoughtful and kind, providing sweet updates that showed me all was well and allowed me to relax and enjoy my time away. Their attention to detail was impeccable. They asked insightful questions, making sure that they understood every nuance of my dogs' routines and preferences. It was clear that they were committed to providing the best care possible, and I appreciated that so much. Koa and Tuck went on daily walks and hikes and were showered with love and snuggles. After a long day of travel home, I found my home immaculate, a testament to their respect and diligence. They also left behind fresh flowers and a loaf of delicious banana bread, which was such a sweet surprise! Kai and Axios are truly lovely humans, and I would welcome them back without hesitation-in fact, I hope they come back! I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone who needs dedicated and compassionate house and dog sitters. Thank you, Kai and Axios!”

“I know Megan S. as a loving and responsible foster parent for pets who were rescued from bad situations. It takes a special person to do that! Our family adopted two beloved dogs from Megan’s home. She loved them and nurtured them back to full health! One of the dogs we adopted nearly ten years ago is still living, and although we no longer live close, Megan has kept in touch with our family! She truly cares about our pets, and I would highly recommend Megan to care for any pet!”
